Mason's P.O.V.
Mason nodded at her words. "Yeah. Maddie gets it from eating sugary cereal, I think. Jen gets it from coffee. My sisters are both kinda nuts." He said. His words were quiet, and he realized that the single sentence he'd spoken was the most he'd said to another person in almost 5 years. He didn't even speak to Jen like that. According to her, he was the 'King of One-Word-Answers.'
When he was alone with Luna, a sense of ease washed over him. He could feel the blood going to his cheeks though, and the ease ended, replaced with nervousness and embarrassment. "Uh...are you...hungry? I can make us something...i-if you want, that is!" His stutter caused him to blush even more. Mason was suddenly hoping he wasn't alone. And, as if one cue, the door swung open. "I'm home!" Jen said.
Mason jumped almost a foot in the air when the door slammed open. Jen laughed, having seen her brother's reaction. "Haha! Wow Mason, you're so composed~" Jen waved to Luna. "Hey! So, how you liking our house so far? I saw Maddie while she was walking to Lili's. She said Mason brought a pretty girl home and I assumed she was talking about you~" Mason was gone. Jen looked around for him and walked into the kitchen to find him getting out plates and pots to cook something or other.
