Future Earth

ImageIt has been thousands of years since people have seen The Surface. Ruled by the illustrious Lordgenome, Earth was left abandoned and humans were confined to underground villages. Most males of these villages were selected to become Diggers, ever expanding the villages as they grew. Electricity is still a thing, but it is extremely limited and turned off completely at night, complete darkness surrounding the proximity. At this point, no one really knows what The Surface looks like, or if it really even exists. Only stories of the landscape and treasures it holds float around the villages, sparking many to try and rebel and break through the thick ceiling, but to no avail. Everything remained calm and as is, aside from the various earthquakes that plagued the burrowed humans.

Well, peaceful until giant mechas piloted by God knows what decided to start falling through the ceilings, revealing the world up above. Not knowing what else to do, many just went back to repairing their homes and continued to live in the caves. But others did not. Turns out, some humans from various villages had already traveled to The Surface. But can these few newbies handle what is about to be thrown at them?
Those things that destroyed what they knew, those were Gunmen, piloted by Beastmen under the control of Lordgenome himself. But why? No one realy knows the answer. But this new group of survivors is about to find out the answers to all of their questions, despite the cost.
So far, they only know several things:
1. Beastmen are under the control of Lordgenome
2. Beastmen only come out in the mornings and mysteriously leave later in the day
3. Humans can pilot Gunmen of their own or hijack them
