No one really knows how or when it started. Various myths and legends have always told of these special humans with supernatural capabilities; whether they were true accounts or fiction is a matter of opinion, of course. What we do know, however, is that it can happen to anyone. There is no special gene to be passed down, no alien like blood, no affliction of health. Youβre simply either born with it or youβre not. If you are born with itβ¦ well, itβs probably going to be a life filled with unfortunate events teeming with regret and struggle. Itβs hard to learn how to control your powers when it's just as difficult to come across anyone you can relate to on this strange level. Many children of the supernatural are abandoned by their parents. Others run from their places of residence, unable to stay still β lacking what seems to be the basic human need for acceptance and companionship. But there are always the few very lucky people who have families that accept them for who they are. That, or theyβve never lost control of their powers so they live in peaceful ignorance most of their life.Β
It truly is hard to happen across someone who holds special abilities. Itβs only become more well-known to those who believe, or others of a similar mindset who become aware through the sudden boom of social media or television recounts of incidents that seemed impossible to begin with. This can be both good and bad. Whatβs bad about it is that there are always going to beβ¦ extremists. They would rather see the βpowers of Godβ remain within his divine hands and his hands only. Itβs been a hushed fact that there are hunters or radical groups who are after supernatural people to either use them or kill them. Hell, even some supernatural beings have a twisted logic that they should be in control, be seen as living, breathing Gods amongst men. The good in these viral accounts of supernatural incidents, however, is that it can help others connect. It's now possible to form small groups, tracking people down through incidents that can only be described as βindescribable.β This has become a survival tactic to fend against those dreaded hunters. This is how they found you, after all. The Safe Haven. They tracked you down after a certain incident involving the use of your abilities, voluntary or involuntary, which attracted unwanted attention, no matter how small. After informing you of who they are (one of your kind) they ask you to join their group; a place of acceptance. A certain haven in which they refer to as their home.
Located in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, the group resides in an age-old house abandoned long ago in the midst of the forest, tucked out sight from the tiny town thatβs a mere ten-minute walk away. It has since been renovated well enough to suit the needs of those living there -- even so much as to grant every inhabitant a room of their own. People come, and people go, always on their own accord. Everyone helps in keep each other safe. They work towards controlling their powers and work towards helping those around them. Itβs simply a home for their free-will, a place they can feel they can return to and be themselves.

Something terrible has happened at The Safe Haven. One of their own has disappeared in the night. While this may not be the most uncommon thing, they have reason to believe foul play was involved due to a similar incident brought to their attention.
Suddenly a past resident of The Save Haven has returned, and one who is not totally welcome. This particular person has more of a drastic view on supernatural superiority. Where the inhabitants of The Safe Haven believe that everyone should be equals and not afraid to live in this world, this certain individual thinks supernaturals have a birth right to become better than the normal human beings, to be the superior race. After she broke away from the Haven, she then carried on to create her own rebel group that included those who share her view of supernatural superiority.
She has come with her own group of radicals to tell the group that one of her own has been taken in a hunter raid of her group. Sheβd also seen their Haven member along with them. Now despite the possible bitterness between the two opposing groups and the old ghosts that may show up, they decide to team up and work together in order to save their taken group members and to ensure the safety of the others.

Collectibles
