The nation of Arelus is a peaceful nation mostly made up of villages and small towns. It is a mostly rural area where life is simple and people still use horses and do manual labor. But one night, a storm unearthed the ruins of an archaic building upon entry of the building a holographic index sits on a table and a stairwell leads into a room with mostly scrap and defunct devices. The index holds the key to lost technology that could benefit Arelus. The technology is listed and most thoroughly described chronologically in the Arelian languages archaic form so that whoever holds it will not skip anything and that only someone who possesses the proper intellect can decipher it. But with new discoveries come new dangers since the effects on Arelus are unknown nor how obsessed its reader may become with it. What may the future look like for Arelus? Will it become more prosperous or with the index lead to its end?

Arelus: Arelus is a small nation with a sparse population. It is peaceful and made up of mostly pastures and small patches of woods. Villages and a few small towns dot the landscape. Most citizens are farmers though. The capital of Arelus is Orelian (population 5000) and the government is the annually elected Arelian council. The ruins are found about two days by horse driven cart away from the capital. A small encampment has formed around it.
