A bold grin dawned on Braego face before he took a step forward.
"I am with you. Let us find the secrets S.H.I.E.L.D would have remain hidden."
Valentina nodded, "Alright, let's go then." She said and turned, making her way onto the plane. Normally she would have had something far more interesting to say but the sight of the massacred scientists still burned in her eyes and had damped her spirit.
Once the pair were on the plan and seated the pilot ran the checks and they took off for the fairly short flight back to Seattle. During the flight Valentina said little, eyes focused on a high tech laptop that she had on the plane. She sat in silence, researching as they flew, and only stopped occasionally to have a bite to eat and sip on the green tea that had been made for her upon request. Her energy was failing and her body needed sleep but she refused to give in until she figured out what was going on with HYDRA.
Some time later the expensive jet landed and, after the proper precautions, the doors were opened and Valentina and Braego were allowed to exit. A black unmarked town car with bullet proof glass and tinted windows rolled up, sparkling in the afternoon sun. Her driver, an extremely handsome man named Marcus, exited the car and opened the door for the pair of them, "Welcome back, Miss Stark."
"Thanks Marcus." Valentina replied, giving him a brilliant smile despite how she truly felt (a trick she had learned from her father), and entered the car with her case and Braego right behind her. Again, she barely spoke and only did so if Marcus asked her a direct question. Half an hour later after driving through heavy lunch hour traffic they reached Stark Industries, the tour gleaming at the center of the city; a pillar of glass.
"Follow me." She said to Braego as Marcus opened the door for them. The man gave Marcus an odd look, taking in his interesting attire, but had worked for the Starks for long enough to know not to ask.
Valentina lead them to the elevator which, after a short time, took them to one of the top floors that belonged entirely to her. She punched in a code in the elevator, a complicated combination of 15 numbers, and then the doors slid open to reveal her extravagant home.
"Welcome home, Miss." EVE said through the floors build it speakers, "You have thirty six messages, five of them listed as urgent. Would you like me to play them for you now?"
Valentina walked into the lobby, the shining hardwood floors catching the light from the wall of windows, and shook her head, "Absolutely not. Besides, I have a feeling those urgent messages are not urgent at all. It's likely just Chace."
"It's Chad, miss."
"Whatever." Valentina said with a wave of her hand and strolled towards the kitchen, grabbing an apple from the basket of fruit before turning to Braego, "Make yourself at home."
