         Bacon - Near Bloodhound Territory

He'd had a run in not that long ago with a guy from the Bloodhounds. Which is how this last few days had turned out how they did. The guy was crazy enough he should have been part of the Diamond Dogs but it wasn't his place to do their recruiting. He wiped the sweat from his head, he was starting to get hot. An unnecessary and unpleasant side-effect of his inner power. The heat, it would make it so hard to concentrate at times. He sighed and looked up to the small window he'd found in the ruined bathroom.

"Why would fuckers ever create windows so small!" He shouted at the window even though he didn't mean too. The bathroom was just big enough for him to stand in and maneuver to the window after he'd knock out the glass and it's frame. He turned around and headed back to where he'd set up. As he started to gathering the few things he would even want to keep he could hear that the rotters outside had picked up to his existence again. He knew it wouldn't have been long but he might have had longer if he hadn't screamed.

"Fuck!" He screamed as he stood slamming his open hand on the wall. "I'm such and idiot!" He started towards the bathroom quickly as the dead began to press against the shoddily repaired barricaded he had to break in to get in. He'd expected to have had to fight someone when he got in but the only thing inside were the few things he'd already gathered up and the rotting corpses of two older females in the bedroom. If he had more time he might have burned their bodies for them.

He took a deep breath before he started to bust out the window with a metal shower rod he had picked up a few seconds earlier. He could hear the sound of cracking wood as he threw his pack out the window and then started to weasel his way through. Just as he got through, falling on to some trashcans hard, he could hear them breaking in. Their moans and grunts echoing out the window as well as all around him. The mob he'd escaped from hadn't gone anywhere they'd just been sitting here waiting to find him. He scrambled over to where is pack landed grabbing it and then scrambling to his feet he took a quick look around. He was in the back alley in Bloodhound territory. He only had a few hours hard run from here till he could get back into Mayday Turf. He started down the paved alley as quietly as he could but it was no use. As soon as he passed the house the rotters noticed him and began to come toppling after him.

Rather then waste time fighting he decided to go back to running, so he fastened his pack on tight and took off running for what could literally be his life.

Standing in the alley, Feral weighed her options. Or was putting off actually doing work. Whatever. She stood there, contemplating of sorts. Just as she was in mid-thought, a banging noise echoed above her. With a paranoid twitch known only to anyone who's lived through a zombie infestation she craned her neck up swiftly. She saw a flash of someone jumping over the gapping alleyway above her. Some guy was jumping on the roof, running like a bat out of Hell.

Feral hesitated only for a moment before deciding she would follow him. He was running for a reason, whether or not it was food was up for debate. But curiosity would get the best of her. She walked out of the alley in hopes to catch what building he was on now before transforming but all she saw was a Todd Fox. He was walking into a safe house, not far from her up the street. He wasn't of much interest, Feral knew Todd's weren't a threat but - they did have a lot of supplies. Everyone knew that. She pushed the thought of the other boy into the back of her head. Thoughts of a delicious hot plate of baked beans was now her main concern. She could almost smell them.

The bond between The Mayday Bandits and The Todd Foxes was a very good one, though. They'd been allies since the beginning and she knew her brother would kill her if he found out that she double crossed one.

"Well, he just doesn't need to know who I am," She thought out loud. It was the last thing she could have said as her mouth jutted out into a muzzle and her tongue became flat against the roof of her mouth. It didn't take her very long to morph, but it definitely wasn't instantaneous either. Her paws hit the ground while her curled tail seemed to sprout from her spine. She began to trot to the safe house, careful to keep her ears and nose on alert for any surprise zombie hoards. Feral had turned herself into a medium sized, crossbred canine. Her body was mostly black with white paws, chest and snout. She resembled a shepherd of some sort with one floppy ear and one pointed straight up.

At the door of the safe house, she bow her head down and began to whine profusely.

Hey Kit, wake up. You've got next watch for post 3.

He felt a gentle kick go into side. It wasn't a kick meant to hurt, just wake him up. Giving a quick snort and rolled onto his other side, before going onto his front and pushing himself up. He grumbled as he dragged himself up. The bedroll that he used every night had taken his shape a while back, not comfortable as it was familiar, which was more important to a good sleep to Kitsune, it seemed. He hated early morning watch. It was difficult to wake up enough for an accurate reading for the first 20 minutes. Luckily for him, nothing much happened that was out of the ordinary. Some scouts from other gangs, testing the territories; couriers running messages and miscellaneous packages. Everything was still worth taking note of, just in case. Better to be over-careful than under.

He walked through the mall that had been changed into a base for those who didn't see much difference between the humans and the Tyuman. Or at the very least they didn't attack over the belief that one existed. If it wasn't for the fact that this building had been commandeered by the early members of the Todd Foxes back when the town was split in 4 (as far as he knew it was only split in 4), there might not have been another building that could support such a large amount of people. Not as comfortably, anyway.

Climbing the stairs to the roof, then the ladder up into the watchtower that was his designated post. "I'm here to relieve you..." Kit said tiredly, Thank god... He got as an equally tired response. The other 'watch-fox' climbed down from the tower, almost slipping from the ladders in tiredness, "Careful..." A childish sticking out the tongue was what he got in response, one which he returned, before taking a seat in the solid wooden chair that he would be occupying for the 4 hours (unless he got a visitor)...

She could hear two people in the hallway talking when she woke up. What time was it? Noon? Feral couldn't be sure. The sun was up, it was poking in through the blinds in her hotel room. Her head said to go back to sleep but the voices outside her door were keeping her up. They sounded panicked.

She rolled over in her bed, unamused by the sounds. Sliding out from under her sheets she approached the door quietly. The voices stopped suddenly. She swung open her door very abruptly and poked her head out.

"Shut up." She whispered. There were two guys standing there, as if they were about to knock on her door. Feral couldn't grasp their names - new recruits, perhaps. Probably humans. One of the men looked to the other to talk.

"Hi." he said. Feral raised an eyebrow. They didn't come to say hi and she didn't want to chat. She opened the door wider to lean on the frame. "Your brother sent us to find you. He said you were supposed to be going for food." The guy obviously felt uncomfortable around a Tyuman, probably from experience. Feral couldn't be bothered though, she closed the door in their face.

Unfortunately, the luxury of a shower was not available so she had to do the best with what she had. She changed into army green shorts and fashioned her belt to them with her blade on her hip. She wore a black tank top and let her hair flow loosely to the right side. And then, of course, tied a yellow bandana on her left wrist. She was a bandit and proud of it, after all.

Feral took a shortcut through the hotel so she wouldn't run into her brother. He'd give her shit for sleeping in, for sure. Down a fire escape, she made her way to a side street beside the hotel. So today was her turn to get food eh? It was her least favorite chore. It was dangerous and sneaky. Typical Bandit behaviour was to steal food from other gangs but lately they've been on watch. She would have to find her own. All the grocery and department stores had been cleaned out, her best bet was going through apartment buildings and looking through homes. You had to have a heart of stone to do it, but desperation was setting in on the city.
