"I don't really seem to have much of a choice." Delia could tell he wasn't going to last much longer. If there were other hunters out there and they were attacked the group was doomed. Delia had no energy to fight, maybe turn a few hunters to stone but that would depend on the stupidity of the hunter. Luca was weak, he wouldn't be able to handle another attack even with the healing of Luna. All they could do was keep moving and hope there wouldn't be another attack for the rest of the night.
"Come on. We're getting close, and we can't be seen around these bodies if a civilian shows up." She moved from behind the dumpster and watched as he went and wiped the blood from his hands and put on his jacket. When he walked back to her she realized how much taller he actually was compared to her. He held his hand to her, this confused her. She wasn't sure what he wanted her to do.
"I know I'm probably the last person in the world you want to hold hands with... But humor me please." She gave him a smirk
"Not the last person, but your a close second." She said as she took his hand. He was different from before, less cold, less careless like he actually cared whether she survived the night at least.
Holding his hand made her think of Titus, he was expecting her home soon and she wouldn't be there. Hopefully her neighbor would continue to feed him, she was sure they would but Titus always got aggressive if she wasn't there at the end of the day. He was a snake but to her he was still her beloved Titus.
"You wouldn't happen to have a phone where we're going do you? I have to make a call. I know it probably isn't the safest thing to do right now but it's important."
