Toggle Rules

These are some basic guidelines to follow when roleplaying here!

The goal of the game is to win the tournament, by defeating everyone you are matched up against!

All characters should be built in the following fashion.

ALL equipment must follow the following rules:

Mention any equipment. Headpiece, chestplate, gloves, boots, pants, weapons, etc.
A total of 5 consumables are allowed into the tournament.
Armor has percent-based protection: Cutting, Piercing, Smashing and Magic.
It can only focus on one of these, however. Any other values drop by 50% compared to the focus.
Example: Chestplate has 60% Pierce protection and 30% on everything else.
Weapons have similar damage categories, but only possess 2 types of damage. Maximum damage output is 100hp without modifiers.
Example: Spiked Mace inflicts 30-40 Smashing Damage and 15-20 Piercing Damage.
Enchanted equipment IS allowed, in the form of passive perks. (GM Discretion)

ALL characters have 1000hp.
If your character advances in the tournament, he/she recovers 500hp between fights.

Characters are allowed to have special attacks or abilities. However, they may only be used once per fight. (GM Discretion)
ALL characters are permitted to have one Ultimate ability. These abilities can only be used once. Not once per fight, once in the tournament. One of the following criteria have to be met in order to perform your Ultimate ability. (GM Discretion)

Your HP must be under 100.
Your opponent must be at full health, and your own must be under 250.
It must be the final round of the tournament.

Combat is turn-based!

Every turn, your character gains 4 actions.
Preparing to block requires at least 1 action. It will reduce the damage of the very next attack by 75%. Taking this stance will pass your turn, and will only comsume actions if you are hit.
Preparing to dodge requires at least 2 actions. It will grant a 75% chance to avoid taking damage. Taking this stance passes your turn, and only consumes actions if it succeeds.
Preparing to counter requires at least 3 actions. It will inflict a weak attack on your opponent if he attacks you. Taking this stance will pass your turn, and will only consume your actions if you are hit.
A weak attack consumes 2 actions, and deals half of your weapon's normal damage. Cannot crit.
A normal attack consumes 4 actions, and deals your weapon's full damage. Crits for 1.5x if it hits an opponent in a vulnerable area.
A strong attack consumes 8 actions, and deals 2x your weapon's damage. Crits for 2x if not blocked, 4x if it hits your opponent in a vulnerable area.
Using an item consumes an action.
Using a skill/special attack consumes a varying amount of actions, and will trigger their appropriate effects.

Being hit by a weak attack will remove 1 action.
Being hit by a normal attack will remove 2 actions, 3 if critically hit.
Being hit by a special attack will remove 3 actions or more depending on it's effects.
Being hit by a heavy attack will remove 4 actions if blocked, 8 if not.

If you please, you do not need to use all your actions. If you pass your turn without doing anything, you shall gain 8 actions on your next turn.

If a character has a negative amount of actions on his/her turn, they must immediately pass their turn in order to get to a positive number of actions. "Stunned" characters gain 5 actions each turn they must pass.
A character with negative actions cannot lose more actions if hit. (AKA: They can go under 0, but once below the threshold, they don't lose more actions.)

Collectibles

Mobs

Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!

Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!
