"Welcome to the Island, my dear." The old woman walks slowly out of the mist toward you, helping herself along with a wooden staff. Deep wrinkles line her weathered face and frame her clouded gray eyes. She looks right at you -- almost through you -- although you know her eyes can't actually see. "It matters not how you arrived here," she continues. "Chances are, you don't even know how you got here yourself. It's not what brought you that is important now. It's what you will do while you're here."

She moves to sit on a large rock across from you and rests her hands in her lap, looking contemplative. "I don't know what your secret is, but rest assured you are not alone." She chuckles, as if she can see the incredulous look you give her. "Come now, everybody has a secret. Those here on the island -- well, our secrets tend to be of a different nature that most people's in this world. All in good time, my dear. You will understand.

"I can only assume there was a reason you left where you were before. I can't tell you how to get back, although I also can't say I've ever even tried to leave. The Island is my home, and I do hope you will come to see it as yours, as well." With a smile, she stood and turned, vanished into the mist from which she came.



The Island has a fairly sophisticated society and is governed by the Council of Elders. The Council is comprised of ten individuals that are elected by the Island's inhabitants. The Council's word is Law, and those who break the law are dealt with swiftly and accordingly.

1. Abide by all RoleplayGateway rules and regulations.

3. Please post at least twice a week, to keep the story moving along for everyone. I know things come up and there is life outside of this RP, so if something happens and you can't meet this requirement, or you hit a block, please message me and we can work something out.
