It was a sunny day in a suburb of Chicago. Lunch had just ended at Pierce High School and 4th period had just started. Everything was going exactly how it should on a regular school day. all of a sudden screams pierced the quietness of the school yard. All of the students immediately got up and went to the windows to see what was going on. People were running and screaming in the streets. The students started to panic but they kept watching to see what was going on. After a few minutes went by the students started to see people attacking other people and biting them. It was as if they were eating the flesh of the people they were attacking. The loudspeaker came on with the principals voice, "everyone stay calm and stay in your seats. The Police are being contacted and we will inform you shortly." she said trying to sound calm and assertive but you could tell that she was as freaked out as everyone else. Kids started to panic, pushing each other out of the way to get out of the school.



The schools police officer was doing a lecture in shop class for 4th period on drug use. The shop teacher's 4th period class was small, 3 girls and 3 boys. When all of the commotion started happening he ordered the students to return to their seats and went outside to check out what was going on. By the time the principles announcement had come on he was back in the classroom. He told everyone to stay seated and went around the room locking all of the doors.
