Anna and her sister were playing outside when it started to rain. “Mom? Why does it rain?” the youngest one Ali asked.“ Rain is what happens when angels cry.” She explained simply to the child. Anna snorted “Everyone knows the answer to that is because the water from the ground is evaporated into water droplets in the air which then form clouds and make rain…” “You need not to grow up so fast!” Anna’s mother exclaimed. “I’m just trying to explain it properly so she isn’t confused when she does grow up!” Anna shouted. Anna was sixteen the coming of age time high time for her to grow up she thought, but all that would change soon. That night when their mother turned off the lights Ali asked her mother “Mother what are stars?” “They’re directions to neverland. Second star to the right and straight on till morning.” “Neverland?” Anna asked. Anna was always interested in the story of peter pan no matter how old she got. “Yes neverland where there are fairies, mermaids, pirates and of course the most handsome of boys! “ “Peter Pan!” Anna exclaimed. After their mother left the room and was well asleep the nightlights went out. Anna awoke with a sudden chill. There was someone in the room with her besides Ali, a boy, she had felt this presence before. When she was much younger and had fallen out of her cradle. “Peter!” She exclaimed as If greeting an old friend. “Aye. I noticed you’ve grown since I last saw you.” “Are you disappointed Peter? “ “Not nearly as disappointed as I should be…” he had barely any room to talk he had grown at least a foot since last time he saw her but had still not grown up…he would never be grown up…but was taller all the same. Anna quickly moved from her bed to her sisters bed “Come on wake up! Ali! Peter is here!” “Yes and I’m the queen of—“ she stopped mid-sentence “Peter pan!” “Yes! I Peter Pan am here to bring you to never land!” “Where’s tinkerbell?” “Who? Oh she died…here’s some fairie dust though.” He sprinkled the fairie dust on them. Before they knew it they were off to neverland.
