I got this idea from a combination of the anime and manga, Vampire Knight and their whole Cross Academy situation.
Partly a Re-Make of an old Roleplay I took part in Vampire Knight: The Devils Dance

In 1348, a plague swept across Europe exterminating nearly half of its population. For years, the plague spread, causing death and destruction when, finally, it vanished without a trace. Historians never understood what caused such an epidemic...and, even after numerous and pointless studies, it was blamed on diseased rats running amok. The documentation during this tragedy was not well-kept, and, therefore, ruined during the horrid era...even to this day, no one understands the true cause of the Black Plague.
The truth behind it all has seemingly gone missing, but the answer is very simple. In 1354, creatures from the underworld emerged with a dark hunger, their contact on Earth releasing the devastating Plague. These creatures were known simply as 'vampires', animals that were sustained by drinking the blood of the unwary. In 1360, a group of humans, who were far too aware of these beasts' existence, had formed a small Army to hunt and effectively push them back to the world from whence they came... they ended up referring to themselves as the Sanguine Fratres, Blood Brothers, Hunters of the Monsters of the Night.
They had nearly succeeded in annihilating the demons.. in fact, the Vampires had crawled back into their dark hole for a time, leading for the Blood Brothers to believe they won. However, little did the Hunters know, they were simply just bidding their time, gathering their power. Weary of the return of the Vampires, the humans who took up the arms and began training their children in their ways of killing.... forever ready for the return of the beasts.
And return they did.
In 1552, the Monsters emerged under the noses of the Sanguine Fratres, only feeding from Humans when necessary. Seemingly, the savage animals were waiting for a signal....and that very sign appeared on 1553, October 31st. A Priest was found within the church, his body mutilated, drained of all blood, and nailed onto the Cross that hung over head.
After that day, a war waged between the Hunters and Vampires for many years. It wasn't until 1611 that the war came to a standstill. Tired and losing on both ends, the Humans and Vampires came to a truce. Vampires would only feed off of Humans that were on the verge of death and the humans would only kill vampires should they break this agreement. And, for three hundred years, it remained peaceful. As time wore on, the existence of Vampires slowly faded from the average Human mind with only a select few knowing of the events that had occurred during the centuries passed. And so, those few Humans and Vampires alike, decided to make an Academy in the year of 1934, an Academy that was built to help the Treaty remain in order. The school was a place where vampires and humans lived together for the entirety of the school year. Students from all over the world flocked to the highly priced Academy, and in order to ensure the safety of its' human occupants, the school created the duty of the prefects to keep the peace.
Prefects were the only ones aware of the Vampires, while the Human students remained in the dark of their vampire peers... and, should they stumble across such a secret, their memories are erased.
This school is known as Cross Academy, and this is where the Peace will end.
These are not your traditional vampires that you've read about. These vampires are immune to the sunlight, however; they can only stand it for so long unless they are a pure-blood. They do not burst but merely fade to ash when they die. Vampires are not vegetarians, meaning they do not feed off of animals. Animal blood can be used as a poison to Vampires. There are three different types of vampires.
Pure-bloods: Pure-blooded vampires are vampires born to vampire parents and do not have an ounce of human blood tarnishing their heritage. They are very rare and considered an endangered breed. Their blood is considered a delicacy and only feed off of each other, or their mates which are usually a sibling or another family member. There are exceptions to this rule such as if they find a particularly enticing blood. A pure-blood will also have certain abilities that they alone can perform, such as creating ice at will, or fire. The ability passes on to their children. They alone possess the ability to turn humans into vampires. They are immortal in a sense as they do not die.
Noble Vampires: Noble vampires are vampires that were either turned by a pure-blood or their blood was tainted with human blood somewhere down the line. Their blood is considered average and not often saught after unless by Mad vampires. They tend to feed upon their mates and occasionally snack on a human or two. Noble Vampires tend to marry within their own family to keep the human blood from growing any stronger within their bloodline and will often times try to marry into a pure-blood family. Although it is very rare that a pure-blood will take on a Noble as a potential mate. They retain a limited amount of abilities and are not quite as strong as a pure-blood's ability. They are immortal like pure-bloods, but can die a lot easier from special weapons. They can tolerate sunlight but it irritates their skin should they be exposed to it for x-amount of time.
Mad Vampires: The lowest of low: Mad vampires are vampires that were once human and were bitten by a pure-blood. Without drinking from the pure-blood that bit them, these vampires are driven insane with bloodlust and attack any and all creatures, resulting in an excrutiating death should they ingest animal blood. There are not a lot of Mad Vampires in the world as they do tend to feed off of animals more so than humans and are not a threat to the Vampire/human world. They cannot tolerate sunlight...at all...and should they be exposed to it, they will combust and turn to ash. Their blood is highly toxic and will cause any vampire, pure or not, to go into a shock and die.

|| Often referred to as the "King of the Night Class". The only male Pure-blood at Cross Academy, it goes without saying he is practically royalty within the vampire world. His word being law, not many would dare oppose him...apart from his mate, the {Vice President}, that is. Infuriated by her lack of regality or awareness of her position, he has taken to finding 'elegant' entertainment within the female Nobles to take away the headache she brings him...not like its hard to forget with the amount of women flocking to his feet. Despite this cheating behavior, it irks him knowing that his mate and {Student 1} are getting abnormally close. Knowing that {Sister 2} is actually a Pure-blood turned human by his mate, he has agreed to keep quiet on this matter until the sign of the poor 'human's' awakening has begun. Secretly wishing for a rebellion to take place, he has begun to take sly actions to get the motion going, holding the {Vice President's} secret over her head to get her also involved. ||

|| Dubbed the "Queen of the Night Class", she is actually quite the dunce of a Pure-blood princess... not exactly what one would call "poised". The mate to the {Dorm President}, she is well aware of the whispers going around that she isn't 'worthy' of him nor her blood.. not like she cares, though. However, she is still hurt by the {Dorm President's} promiscuous behavior...as if she would ever tell him that, though. Instead, she has been taking comfort in the vampire Noble, {Student 1}. Having changed the {Sister 2} into a human for her protection from some unsavory circumstances, her head is swimming with thoughts on what to do when her sister reawakens. Not wishing for her mate to take action when the time comes, she has begun to lay out plans for the future..unfortunately, there has been some complications. Blackmailing her, the {Dorm President} has sucked her into his own plans for a rebellion, something she truly does not wish for. ||

|| This individual is often called the Bishop of the the Night Class, whereas the President is refereed to as the King, and the Vice the Queen, thus making him the 3rd in line for authoritative power. The other Nobles often tend to look to him for guidance and advice on how to approach not only the Pure-Bloods, but also the Humans of Cross Academy. Despite this, however, he is a very quiet person who would rather tend to his garden then converse with others. Though, as of late, he has become abnormally close to the {Vice President}... and he is quite aware that these actions are overstepping multiple boundaries. Childhood friends with the {Dorm President}, it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone on why he isn't too concerned with the wrath of the male Pure-blood. Suspecting something is off about {Student 4}, his mission, as of late, has been to pry information from the student body about her..without too much success, mind you. In terms of the rebellion, he believes he would be more loyal to the "Queen" over the "King", should it come to picking sides. ||

|| Though called a Duchess within the Night Class, she is also refereed to as The Knight, because she would protect the King with her life. She is precisely what one would except in any vampire; calm elegance and regality... it's almost as if she should be the Pure-blood. As such, it shouldn't come as a shocker that she despises and deems the 'Queen' unworthy of the Pureblood life. Hooking up with the {Dorm President} almost daily, it has given her a rather a large ego..and she is well aware that the {Vice President} is harboring hurt feelings. Determined to break up the Pure-bloods in order to be with the 'King', it has become her sole purpose in life to expose the behaviors of the 'Bishop' and female Pure-blood... in fact, she isn't even afraid of either's wrath, believing the {Dorm President} will protect her to the end. Picking up on the over protectiveness the Queen displays towards {Student 4}, she has begun to hatch plans to bite the poor student in order to spite the {Vice President}. In terms of the rebellion, she is all for the {Dorm President} and would stand by his side through the end, believing their "love" will prevail above all else. ||

|| What most people refer to as the Rook of the Night Class, he strives to not only protect the King and Queen, but everyone else as well. Despite this though, he is holding a distaste for some students, this vampire isn't exactly one to make enemies with even a choice few of the humans being his friends. Particulary, he is friends with the {Leader 1}, his willingness to protect the student body from their existence a charming point in his eyes. Believing that the "Queen" should get a break from the harsh insults and assessments, though he knows he should speak up, he opts out of it and only offers comfort to the Queen. He holds a strong dislike for the {Dorm President},it doesn't matter in his eyes that they are even related through the title of cousins, he believes that one shouldn't fool around when betrothed to another. However, due to the cause of being blood relatives, he would be forced to take the side of the {Dorm President} in a rebellion...even if he is truly neutral at heart. He finds {Student 4} quite intriguing and has taken it upon himself to protect her from {Student 2's} vicious plans. ||

|| {Leader 1} though cold and calculating his care for Human life surpasses all others. His relationship with {Leader 2 } is that of a protective brother, he knows what she's been through and wishes to comfort her, it is the only one he can offer in this line of work. He is stand-offish and sometimes cruel, but deep down his love the the other Perfect is starting to surface, and there isn't much he can do for it. He loathes {Dorm President} with a fiery passion and wouldn't mind seeing the Vampire die. Noticing something is off with {Student 4} he has been ordered to keep tabs on her by the Hunter Assassination counsel. ||

|| Smart enough to stay away from the drama, {Leader 2} is new to the Academy. Recently seeing her family murdered, she has closed herself off. She has never found herself befriending many people, but losing her family hasn't helped. She understands {Leaver 1's} growing feelings, but she cannot return them, not with that strange Night Class boy sticking his nose in her business and trying to get to her every waking hour. ||

|| Unlike her best friend {Student 6}, she is the eye candy of the Day Class. Everyone wants to talk to her and know her with everyone wanting to be her, and, because of this, it has become customary for herself to put up a facade. Only a few people, such as the members of the Night Class and {Student 6} have seen through these lies...but the Day class students appear to love it and want more. However, secretly, {Student 4} has begun to feel as if she is slowly losing her mind. Haunted at night by gruesome nightmares that have began to leak into her waking hours, it has become habit for her mind to get lost in these moments. It certainly doesn't help that {Vice President}, the 'Queen' of the Night Class, has begun to start to push her way into her life, and that the girl appears in her nightmares as a saving grace. Unfortunately though, it's not only the {Vice President} that has made an appearance; the {Dorm President} and {Student 2} have trained their gaze on her as well. Apart from the frightening changes occurring, a new sensation has begun to arise; feelings of blossoming love. {Student 3} has caught her eye as of late, his protective nature only adding to his charm. ||

|| A childhood friend of {Student 6}, despite her built up walls. Desperate to try and pull her back from the terrible case of being starstruck and away from the Night Class, no matter what the cost. He doesn't find {Student 4's} friendship to be the healthiest of ones, just due to the sudden influx of Night Class members swarming {Student 4}. However, like all others he can't resist being her friend, having known the girl almost as long as hes known {Student 6} he can see past her walls and being the empath he is, can tell something is wrong with the young girl. ||

|| Seemingly invisible and hard to see past the crowd of Day Class students, no one would really know just how stubborn and independent the young girl is. Raised to fight for herself in this world, she learned at an early age not to rely on others. Despite this though, the young girl had bonded with {Student 4} trusting her the most as she's really never trusted anyone before. The two soon became best friends, only share to share their darkest secrets. However, as of late, she feels as if her best friend is hiding something major from her..and it doesn't help that the {Vice President} has been inserting herself into {Student 4's} life. Of course, being friends with someone gaining as much attention as her friend does have its perks.... that perk being the Night Class. Slowly becoming riddled with a case of starstruck, one person in particular has caught her eye; the {Student 1}. Not quite yet romantic in feeling, she has become quite curious about his existence and role within the Night Class.... and it's getting to the point where she would do anything to befriend him. Even at the risk of having the entirety of the Day Class turn on her. ||
