OVERVIEW
Named for Lieutenant Marshal Verlaan Domnall, an Andiran marshal who kept the roads to Witchport safe after its decommissioning as a military port, Marshal’s Square is a paved mall with a small, memorial park in the center. At the head of the square is the austere chapel-like City Office where representatives of all three city offices have their headquarters. The back half of the ground floor is where government meetings and hearings are held.
The second largest structure is the Courthouse, where laws are kept and trials are held. Minor crimes or civil disputes are generally held in smaller, district offices, but serious, capital, or city-wide crimes are always dealt with in the Courthouse. The second story holds the offices of the city’s Chancellors of Law and a number of district judges as well.
The mall itself holds a number of rented spaces for private lawyers, permit offices, headquarters for various maritime companies, a handful of scribe shops, and a library.
A short walk from the Square is Vanalvyr's, a restaurant and tavern exclusively serving city officials and their guests. It has a fine selection of distilled spirits, wines, and food. Expensive, but mostly worth it.

Marshal's Square
Built on the bones of the city's old governor's hall, the refurbished and newly constructed buildings of Marshal's Square are pristine and professional, practical in their ornamentation. Pedestrians from all walks of life fill the square with movement.
