The corruption laughed softly. It took Veirnj’s place in the body temprorary. It looked at both of them struggling to save one to the other while he was still bound to the ground. “It is funny to see you both in discord.” It said in his quite deep and growl voice as he smirked at them. “But soon as I’m done with corrupting his body, I’m going to take yours, my dear.” It said as it looked over at Lacy with eyes that seems that it just wants to eat all of her pureness. It chuckled and smirked as it squirmed around, the bounding starting to break apart a bit.

It smirked. “That is what I’ve been waiting for.” It growled a bit more as he concentrated and released a blast of corruption. It floated in the air as the corruption surrounded Veirnj’s body like flames and it looked at them, still smirking. A blade was soon formed into its hand as it pointed at him. “I’ve been waiting on this day. The day that I will finally kill your family, War. Prove to be a good dog and die on my blade like your father did.” It soon dive towards War, its blade drawn towards him as it swings the sword at War.

The corruption growled under its breath as it appeared that its attack was stopped by Lacy’s barrier. He quickly jumped out of the way and flew up into the sky. Corrupted balls of energy appeared around it as it threw them doing at them, but even the barrier stopped them. it shook its head, realizing it was wasting its time at them. “I’ll come back, but I’ll make sure that it will be the last time I have to deal with you two, as well as Veirnj.” It let out a loud roar as threw seeds-like shapes fallen from its wings as the corruption flew away. When the seeds entered into the floor, corrupted creatures that looked oddly like Rideons soldiers. The corruption soon got through the limits of the realm, disappearing.

The corruption soon made its way back into the castle of the corrupted before letting Veirnj take back the body. Veirnj let out a loud shout before falling on his knees, crying into his hands. He felt his back patted as the corruption said in a soft whisper:

“Don’t worry, Veirnj. This is what you have been born to.” Only, Veirnj couldn’t stop to cry until he collapsed to the ground, falling unconscious on the cold rock.

Once that he woke up, Veirnj only stood up and walked up to the edge of the balcony that was in his bedroom. He only looked in the distance. He had no thoughts. He would only look forward…without emotions. It was as if he wasn’t there anymore. That his body was nothing but bits of matter. He looked around, seeing some blurry spot in the distance. Soon, one of the spy would appear in the room.

“Sir, War and Lacy are approaching the castle.” The spy would saw towards Veirnj. Veirnj said nothing, only watching the blur approaching and approaching. After few times, he would turn to look over his shoulder at the spy.

“What about the corrupted creatures?”

“They are being successful at their task so far.” Veirnj would then look back at the blur, sighing a bit.

“Prepare a little party for them. I want to weaken them before I get to them.” He said, turning to walk out of his room. “But don’t kill them, okay? I want to feel their still beating heart in my hand.” He would then walk out. The spy would only nod, disappearing.

Veirnj got to the last room in the hall. It was where he would hear the least noise. He closed the door, sitting down as he seemed to be meditating.
