"How can you question my love for you....? You know, I'll sleep on the couch tonight. " He shut the bedroom door behind him, putting Rem in his crib, then going downstairs, to the kitchen, and laying his head on the counter as he sat in a barstool.

How could he always think the worse of her? He always assumed that she was in love with Chayton. Why did he always have to bring him into it? Couldn't he just move on as she had? She got up and walked into the bathroom. She didn't bother turn on the light or taking off her clothes before climbing into the shower. She let the water run over her body, soaking her clothes and hair. Her tears mixed with the water. She sank down to the floor. This was even if he did come back to bed he wouldn't hear her cry.
She cried so hard and for so long that she eventually fell asleep under the steady stream of water. The tub started to fill as she sank back against it.

As soon as he opened the door he started talking. "Roni, I know I'm not the greatest guy, but.. Roni?" He heard the shower running, and wondered how long she'd been in there. Lightly knocking on the door for a minute or two, he finally decided to open it, revealing water coming over the wall of the tub, and Roni laying there, still in her clothes.
Johnny's whole body wanted to stop right there. She'd tried to commit suicide.
Because of him.
He panicked, going over to the fossit to shut off the stream of water, and then put his arms around Roni, lifting her up. "Roni? Roni? baby, wake up... wake up!" He drug her out of the tub, and onto the floor. "Roni.." He'd even started tearing up at her pale form. To him, it looked like she was dead.
He rolled her on her side, so if there was water, it could be helped out. God, what an awful way to die. Death by drowning.

She brought a hand to her face, realizing she was wet. She struggled to open her eyes and look at her hand. "What... happened?" She looked up Johnny and saw his tears. Her throat and nose hurt. Her limps felt like lead. Her lungs were on fire. She couched again. She reached up and touched his face. "Why?" She didn't understand why he was crying.

Johnny's eyes were red now, and tears were streaming. He wasn't one for crying, yet.. they just wouldn't stop. How could she not know what she did? Didn't she do that? It made no sense.
"I did this to you." He mumbled, looking her over. "I.. came back to apologize, and.." He swallowed, as if the memories were painful. "I found you trying to drown yourself." He bit his lip, and looked down, as he was on his knees. "I.. I'm so sorry." His vision was blurry, and he had to wipe his eyes. "I didn't know you'd ... try to leave me.. and the kids." Johnny looked back up at Roni.
"If I make you like that.. .then why didn't you tell me? You just wanted me to find you dead one day?" He had shock, and fear apparent in his voice. "I can't lose you. I.. I wouldn't be able to live, knowing you killed yourself... because of me." His tone had sincerity, but not the sweet kind he'd used as he'd make Roni cheer up, it more serious, and saddened.

Everything was foggy, Roni could hardly keep her eyes open. "Johnny." Her words were slurred as she tried to hold onto consciousness and not fall asleep. "I'm tired..." She managed as he eyes shut. She couldn't keep them open any longer. She left her hand rest on her stomach again as a new fit of coughing took her over again. "I wouldn't..." She said softly once she could breathe again, still she couldn't open her eyes.

He frowned deeply, and cocked his head to the side watching her, his arms still on either side of her. He sat her up, and stood her up gently, then swooped her up, and carried her to the bed. He didn't cover her yet, replacing all her clothes with a new set of underwear even, which was really difficult when she was wet.
Johnny let her wear a big shirt of his, and put her on some sweatpants, not really caring what she looked like, as long as she was warm. He then covered her up, kissing her nose, before disappearing into the bathroom and draining everything, and mopping up excess water that was spilt... shirtless.

She was able to wake up a little more around the time Johnny had finished. She didn't remember going from the bathroom to the bed. She looked to the light on in the bathroom. "Johnny?" She called hoarsely.

He was still shirtless, and it was starting to get cold, especially being kind of damp from cleaning the bathroom. He walked to his closet, and grabbed a shirt turning out the light in the bathroom. Johnny let out a sigh as he hit the bed, falling on it, and almost falling asleep instantly. It'd been a long night sopping up that water.

"I love you... only you." She told him honestly. She rubbed her nose against his tender skin, moving up slowly to his chin. She kissed his skin again. "I wanted to tell you I meant if we would be waiting for our wedding now or if it would have already happened by now... I know I would be marrying you either way." She stared into his eyes, willing him to believe the truth.

She slipped her fingers into his hair as she deepened the kiss. She didn't care that she was tired or still drugged from the hospital. She just loved her husband and she wanted him to know it. She wanted him to feel what she felt. Did he realize that ever time he touched her it was like there was a flame being held to her skin? Except instead of hurting, it felt good.
