The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 2 authors

Emalyn had a wonderful time with her fiancé, except when he suddenly got dressed and rode off after picking a bouquet. She sighed and put her dress back on, and then sighed as she petted her horse, putting a white flower in her newly braided hair. She hopped on her horse and decided to ride around as her fiancé didn't seem to have any plans with her.
Alec never before had to worry about anyone but him and his little sister. Having a third person was strange, as wonderful as that person was. Emalyn filled a big part of his head as he rode towards the castle. Her expressions, her body, her voice equal to the song of a bird. With all this floating in his mind he could barely keep his horse in check. With all the fun he had, he honestly forgot he should wait for her. He felt bad, but turning back not would be more than a little embarrassing. Alec decided to best course of action would be to wait for her until she made her way back. He’d apologize and even if she was angry, hopefully he’d still be in one piece. For the first time ever the man realized his carefree personality could cause troubles. He got off the horse and sat on the grass until he spotted the woman.

Emalyn slowly rode up to the castle staying on her horse as she looked down at he finance. "What are you doing, dear?" She looked puzzled, not at all angry like she thought she'd might be.
Alec was surprised as he heard the calmness in her voice. He was sure she’d be unhappy with him but maybe he didn’t know her well enough yet. He smiled, got off the floor and bowed, maybe a little too dramatically. “I wanted to apologize for leaving you behind, I got a little carried away. Now shall we head back?”

"Pardon me, your highness, but the Princess and her fiancé have ordered you both to a dinner this evening. "
"Alright, sir. Thank you." Emalyn sighed as she got off her horse. The anger that she thought she might have began boiling up. "You do have a right mind don't you? It's not a gentleman who leaves a lady after taking advantage of her in the water, but cowardly fool! Do not speak to me unless spoken to." She snapped and began walking the horse back to the stables.
Alec wasn’t too surprised with the invitation, it sounded like something his sister would do. He was quite looking forward to meeting the man who was going to take care of her and seeing if he was up to it. Then Emalyn’s voice abruptly cut off his thoughts and brought him back to the real world. Her anger was justified but out of place compared to her warm greeting. He never considered himself a fabulous gentleman but he was no fool either, just a little too carefree. He decided to let her cool off and apologize before the dinner.
Emalyn walked the horse back to it's stable, brushing it, and walking back to her room, shutting the door, and collapsing on her bed, as she stared at the ceiling. "What am I doing here?" She sighed, and rubbed her head. She longed for her brother. So, she set out to find him, and according to Dalila's likes, they'd be at the library. She found him there, and they spoke about one another's experiences so far, ending in a much needed, teary-eyed hug.
Alec spent his time walking around the palace grounds. He avoided people in fear of any responsibilities that might come his way. His thoughts were concentrated on finding good words to say as an apology to Emalyn. They needed to be honest words, but nothing seemed to sound right. As time for diner approached he headed for Emalyn’s bedroom. He knocked gently, “Hey? You there? I came to apologize again. I guess my behaviour wasn’t the greatest back there. Believe me I didn’t mean harm. You can be angry I understand but could we at least try make this meal enjoyable for everyone?” He waited for her reply, unsure if she was even there to hear it.

Meanwhile Emalym went to her room, only to find a quiet Alec looking as of he was about to cry. "Alec, dearest? What are you doing outside of my living quarters?" She assumeda stance where her arms were crossed and she looked at him oddly.
Emalyn’s voice brought him back to his senses. The fact it didn’t come from her room was a little embarrassing. He quickly turned to face her. “I was wondering if you’ve calmed down….” She didn’t look the greatest but at the same time she didn’t seem angry anymore. “I’ve also come to accompany you to the dinner.”

Emalyn sighed. She went into her room and changed into something more formal and then went outside looking at Alec. Her hair was in am long braid, and her dress was white, with bits of purple here and there. She stood directly in front of Alec. She then whispered, "I think I do love you." Then kissed his lips softly.
Alec loved seeing Emalyn in different clothes, it was as if everytime she changed she looked even prettier. He returned her kiss with passion. “I think, just a little, I love you too.” He said it in a joking manner, but anyone could sense his conformation of love for her was true. They walked to the dining room and he opened the door for Emalyn. He saw Dalila and smiled in her direction. Then he examined the man sitting beside her. He’d find out tonight if he was worthy of his little sister. “We’re here! Let’s have a lovely time.” He pulled the chair out for Emalyn and waited for her to sit before sitting in the chair beside her.
Dalila was happy to see her brother. Her heart also beat faster when she saw the woman with him, she was very pretty and he seemed at ease beside her. “It’s good to see you two, especially you Alec. This is Martin, I’m sure you will find his as wonderful as I did,” she said to her brother . It’s also very nice to meet you,” she continued, holding her hand out to Emalyn.

"Emalyn." She nodded, returning Dalila's gesture. "Of course." She looked at her brother, seeing that annoyance I. His eyes made her a bit annoyed, but she just turned to Alec, and kissed his cheek. She saw flames in Martin's eyes as she did so. She'd forgotten how easily jealous he could become at times.
Alec also felt the tension in the room. It was obvious to most Martin showed jealousy as Emalyn kissed his check and Alec put on an almost triumphant smile. It was now his honor to be by the side of the incredible lady. He also saw that Dalila’s eyes were becoming downcast and decided to break the silence.
“You made the bouquet on the table right Dalila? What do you think Emalyn? She has a gift for flower arrangement. Maybe one day she could decorate your beautiful hair with some flowers. Martin, has my sister shown you around the palace a little, are you enjoying your time? I mean, she knows more about every little hole and corner in here than me.”
He tried to liven the conversation. Involving all the people at the table and pleasing them all. It was harder than he thought, but he did an ok job. He could also see Dalila livened up with an enthusiastic nod. Then his eyes traveled from looking happily at Emalyn to scanning Martin again.
Emalyn held Alec's hand lovingly, and smiled as well. He was amazing, really. "They're quite beautiful, dear." She answered him, and sighed happily. She rested her head on his shoulder, her fingers running up and down his muscular arm. She had her gloves on as it was a formal event, technically.
Alec patted her head as she lied on his shoulder. Her head on him was strangely reassuring. He caught her hand as it drifted up and down his arm and held it gently under the table, entangling their fingers. They were so close he could hear her heart beat rhythmically.
“The day of the wedding is soon I believe, I’m not great with dates so excuse me if I’m wrong?” Alec stated smiling.
Dalila perked up a little as his said it and looked at Martin with her big, loving eyes. “Everything is planned right? I believe my parents sent you the basic run down. We still have a final dress fitting left though. It should be quite exciting.”

Martin sighed, nodding. "I'm sure you'll look beautiful, dearest." He smiled, placing his hand on top of hers.
"I've got to say, I'll miss this place but there's still so much ahead of us before the wedding day. How about we spend tomorrow together Emalyn? We can have a girl chat as I'd love to know you better and give our brothers some free time. That is if you and they are ok with it," Dalila suggested with a bright look on her face.
Alec had a loevely time thoughout the evening. Emalyn right by his side gave him comfort he never felt before. He could say it was a similar feeling to when he described his adventures to his excited little sister. Yet that didn't seem to do it justice. This was something else, different, stronger. This could have been true love. He chuckled and gave Emalyn a playful nudge before kissing hr forehead.
"If Emalyn can stand being without me for a few hours I don't see a problem. Maybe me and Martin could do something too?"

Martin sighed, at Emalyn's suggestion. "I don't think it's the best idea, but I guess we all need to know their sibling's spouse, I suppose." He shrugged, not wanting to get in a rage about how he didn't like Alec swooping in on his sister.
Emalyn sighed at Martin. "Oh grow up already. We are both getting married, so why you at least try?" She growled, and let go of Alec, and stood, the chair squeaking against the tile as she pushed it back. She then stomped off to her room, but the same servants were in there again. "Honestly, you peasants!" She slammed the door, and caught her breath against the door, then continued on to the balcony where her and Alec where just that morning, and decided to skip breakfast.
Her arms were crossed, and she sighed, tears forming in her eyes. She didn't want her life to change so suddenly, and she leaned against the railing, laying her head on it, and crying, as she sat on the ground, looking like a picture out of a book.
Martin sighed watching his sister. "She's so dramatic, excuse her, Alec." He frowned, his arms crossed.
“If you excuse me, I’ll also return to my room,” she said her voice wary and headed upstairs.
Alec watched the scene unfold before him with wide eyes. He was slowly getting used to this but seeing Emalyn so distressed made him feal a pang in his heart. As he was about to follow her, Dalila also got up. He could see, she was also obviously saddened. As much as he wanted to go after both of them he continued sitting for a while longer. He looked at Martin he didn’t seem to go after Emalyn but Alec wondered if his reaction to Dalila would be different, he was leaving her with him afterall. He pushed his chair back and stood up.
“I’m going to check up on Emalyn.”

Emalyn had stopped crying and was just watching the moon's reflection bounce off glass and water. It seems illusionary, as if she were ion a dream.
“It’s fine now,” she answered lifting her head to look him in the eyes.
It took Alec some time before he found Emalyn. At this point his thoughts were focused entirely on her. Somewhere along his search he picked up a bottle of champagne and held it up before approaching her.
“You feeling a little better sweetheart? Would you like a drink to cheer you up? I think even the sky is mourning your sadness today.”

Emalyn laughed, as he held up the champagne. "You quite the gentleman." She teased, and wiped her eyes. She slowly got up, and when Alec got closer, she wrapped her arms around his waist, and laid her head on his shoulder. "I love you." She spoke softly, and pulled back up to where she could see his face, then brought up her index finger, and traced his jawline, as she seemed to be entranced by him. Her thoughts were all Alec, and none about her douche brother and his fiance. She smiled, and let out a chuckle at the sight of the champagne again. "Did you even bring glasses, or are we doing this old style?"
“I’m going to sleep. I’ll see you tomorrow right?”
He chuckled and confidently answered “I love you too.” Emalyn was like a storm. Full of energy and strong emotions. Sure sometimes she went a little over the top, but he always loved danger and after all lighting was a beautiful sight to see.
“Glasses are overrated,” he said opening the champagne and taking a sip straight from the bottle with a smile.
((I also want to say I'm incredibly sorry for my extreme lack of activity these past two weeks or so. <3))
