Strengths: Lucy's specialty is in mid-long range attacks and planning an ambush or attack.
Lilet's specialty is in close combat and strength but not so much as in speed.
Talents: Lucy can use around 4 elements at the same time, but she needs more training to keep it together.
Lilet can only use one element at a time, she can also be inside people's minds feeding them lies or truths.
Weaknesses/disabilities: Trusting others if she's in a group, they've been taught to be independent.
When Lucy is close to losing her strength she will mentally pass out and Lilet takes over the body, if she loses her strength then the body will collapse from exhaustion.
Personality: Lucy's known as shy and timid, but there are times when her true-self comes out. Her true-self is that of a fighter, she's also outgoing and very independent.
You could call her having a split personality. During tough situations she wouldn't panic but do a different strategy from what she was taught. Lucy has two people inside herself, Lucy and Lilet.
Lilet is the demon that hates humans and has a thirst for blood. She doesn't come out in public but usually comes out later during a fight when Lucy is too tired or she's passed out. Lilet's personality is the polar opposite of Lucy, she's demanding, there's no planning just fighting, and it's every man for themselves.
Lucy is who mostly everyone knows about. She's the human side that her father raised. During a fight Lucy would stand at the back protecting her allies and countering sneaky attacks. Taught from early training from her grandfather and grandmother she's always 2 steps ahead.
History: Mother had left her demon clan to because she has broken the forbidden rule. She fell in love with a male human, when the clan found out about their secret affair they forbid her from the clan. She then moved in with Father and in less than a week Lilet was made, still inside Mother's stomach she fed only on her blood and nothing else. It was only 4 months of pregnancy and Mother was about to deliver. Barely a year old Lilet clawed her way from her own mother's stomach, eating handfuls of flesh loving the taste more and more. It was as if Mother was literally being eaten inside out. One day, Mother was passed out on the bed from exhaustion, as the hours passed she began to slowly die. Father coming back from work saw her dead and stomach still moving, out of love to save his daughter he grabbed a knife and cut open the stomach. Thus, giving birth to Lilet
An elderly couple that's known Mother since she was a child carefully watched her day and night. They knew about her pregnancy and learned to take excess precautions. The day Lilet was born Grandmother showed up unexpectedly. At first Father thought they were going to kill the child and threw the nearest kitchen knife aiming for her face, she blocked it without moving a step showing her power in that little movement. Grandmother explained her Devatori history line and how she was a secret guardian for Mother, now that her child was born she's here to take it back. Father fought and fought, he begged on his knees and cried, he bowed down to the floor, Grandfather appeared understanding his love for Lilet and told him it's impossible to raise a Devotari child as a human. They talked and made an agreement, 6 years she stays with Father then they come and take her away.
It seemed impossible but he actually took care of her for 6 years. He assigned her to a regular school, disciplining her on how to behave and act around humans. When it was time for lunch he'd take her out explaining a medical excuse and bring her home to eat raw meat from the butcher. This pattern happened until inside Lilet, Lucy was born into her mind. At first Lilet thought of killing Lucy, driving her to madness but soon came to like her. Inside her it was like an Older sister and Younger sister fight, Lilet wouldn't admit her strong love for Lucy but Lucy can. In and out of school Lilet would come out to stop Lucy from being bullied or harassed. 6 years was up and Grandfather and Grandmother came to take her into their training.
-8 years later-
Lucy was about to celebrate her 14th birthday with her Devatori family. Surprisingly they decided to move into the human world, it wasn't out of pleasure Lucy figured out after a few weeks into their new home. On their long trip from the demon world to the human world Grandmother drilled in every fake detail about them and why they moved. Grandmother and Granfather are non-blood related couple that adopted Lucy from an orphanage. The orphanage made a it a requirement to live in the area where the child was first picked up, they would stay for at least 2 years and then move to another home. The story sounded so perfect yet there was that omnious feeling that it's fake.
Her boots tapped against the cold pavement toward the Japanese restaurant they all agreed to meet at for dinner. Lucy looked up at the dark sky, not a single star in the night. The lunar moon shone emphasizing it's perfect shape, it casted a thin light source blending with the dull lamps. She averted her eyes from the sky and focused ahead of her, observing the area as she advanced each step. It wasn't a horrible place but it wasn't a safe one either. Homeless men and some women slept in allyways, a few here and there would come up to her and ask for some food. The buildings were all old and victorian, their were those rare buildings that looked as if the builder misplaced it's location.
The corner was soon approaching, the map that Grandfather gave her said to turn at the end of the street and a red neon sign saying SUSHI would be the place. Exciting drew from every pore of her body when she turned, her eyes widened in confusion an the pitiful sight. In the wide area it was the same as all the other streets, homeless people and more ruined buildings. She held the map tight, then crumpled the paper in her right palm. Pissed off she walked ahead, a few people looked up and stared that she wasn't one of them.
One man sleeping on the streets held a menacing aura to Lilet, through Lucy she felt it.
'Lucy, that man to your right that's sleeping...See him? There's something about the air around him...It's hard to explain but he's dangerous.'
Lucy continued walking head helf high and straight, the man was out of her view and she quickend her pace, 'Lilet not every homeless guy is dangerous, you should at least give him some respect'
She stopped and looked around again. It seemed like a bad dream, everytime she crossed the street the same scene appeared again. To prove she wasn't hallucinating on her way around Lucy dragged a rock causing a white mark in a shape of an upside down V.
'DODGE TO YOUR RIGHT!' Lilet screamed not only mentally but for a few minutes she physically forced herself to move Lucy.
She barely dodged a speeding dagger aiming for her brain that would have quickly decapitated her from moving.
Lucy pivoted on the ball of her foot and turned to the back, it was the homeless man that was sleeping before.
This man is wearing a long dirty gray coat, a black tattered fishing hat pushed his hair covering his eyes, on his right had was a heavy looking plastic bag and on his left were a few daggers. In such a slow motion almost intimidating Lucy he lifted his arm, and in a blink flew the daggers. They flew to her at first in a clump then in mid-air they formed a vertical line, Lucy barely had a second to think as she blocked her face and embraced the pain.
"AAAGGHHHHH" A blood curling cry rose through the air, the pain was agonizing.
Lucy was bent over, it looked as if a ventriliquist was pulling her strings, her arm dangled as the other arm gripped it in pain.
She was hit at the vital parts near her limbs, one dagger on her arm, another dagger on both her calfs, the fourth and fifth dagger caused a rip through her face and side.
Her free arm shook from the strength it needed to move, much less pull out five daggers from her.
She collapsed on the floor in a sitting position, ready to jump up if he made another attack.
'Lucy! You know I could beat him, but as long as your conscious we can't switch. Look closer, he has no shoes...I think he's blind!'
'Blind?! What! That attack...that attack....he had me locked on for death.'
'His feet, he's using the vibrations of your moves. With his sense of hearing and smell, it helps him pin-point where you are.'
'Heh, and I thought I was the one to figure these things out. Count to 45 Lilet.....45 seconds and I'm out'
Lucy slowly got up, one hand on the nearest lamp pole to hold her weight. She observed the man again, even though his hair covered his eyes it does look as if they're close, and it's not impossible to use your feet to feel around.
Lucy inhaled, then exhaled.
In. Out.
In. Out.
In. Attack.
On her exhale she blew from mouth blasting a surge of wind at her opponent. He moved back a few steps and held on to a lamp post to keep his foot.
Flinching from pain she raised her damaged arm and drew an imaginary circle in front of her.
"Fire You Burn Your Way, Now Go!"
Lucy chanted once more and conjured a fire at the man's feet. He felt the bursting pain of heat on his bare skin, he thrashed around dropping his bag of daggers. The flames engulfed his body whole leaving black ash around.
Lucy closed her eyes and embraced the darkness around her, she open and closed her free hand, "45 seconds are up, too bad I didn't have any chance to taste his blood. Rest now Lucy."
She whipped around to the sound of footsteps, standing behind her was a woman with red wild hair and shining emerald eyes. "Well done child, with poison in those dagger you were still alive and able to overcome him. Are you a mage? No, a priestess are you not? That was an entrance exam, welcome to Anexia Academy. I am your proctor Rose, that man was to be reserved for another student. He overtook the guard and ran, thank the heavens he bumped into another student to-be and not a human."
"I decline."
"You..what?!"
"Decline. Not going. Comprenda? I almost died and you expect me to be happy to go because I passed you stupid test, tough luck."
"You don't understand the consequences of not going.... we can provide you everything you'd ever need for the future."
"No"
"Playing tough then huh? So can I, we know your parents were part of the Devatori clan. Everyone knows they are now feared and hunters travel around the globe to hunt them. If you don't come we will kill your remaining family."
Her voice was so ice cold it could have froze fire, Lilet realized she was serious. After everything she saw and heard how can you left someone off like that?
