- Physical Appearance: Akira stands about 6 feet tall(183cm), weighing about 163 lbs. (74kg), with a medium build. He is fairly strong, but not as built as some earth benders. He has dirty-blond hair that is relatively unkempt. His eyes are a dark azure that tend to become the color of the sky when he wears light colored clothing, which is never. His facial features are perfectly symmetrical.

He wears all black aside from a small green emblem to signify that he is indeed with the Earth Kingdom. His typical clothing, what he always wears if he has a choice, are a black leather vest, black and steel shoulder guards, black leather pants, a black leather belt, and black boots. He has two tattoos as well, a flame on his left arm, a constant reminder of fire nation ancestry within him, and the tattoo of a katana along his left leg.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
- Personality: ] Akira has deep seeded hatred for all nations other than the Earth Kingdom, he has a extreme sense of nationalism and has always put the needs of his country before the needs of anything else. This, of course, means that he would put aside hatred of other nations, if so ordered by the Earth Kingdom. If ordered by his Kingdom, he will kill, defend, even commit suicide if it were to further the goals of the Earth Kingdom. He has the utmost respect for rules and regulations, and rarely strays from them.

He also has a bit of a soft spot for love, he loves reading love stories and dreaming about the perfect woman, thinking that love for him is unattainable... He never admits his enjoyment of romance of course, some people would think badly of such a sentiment. He has memorized dozens of stories and read even more books about romance(not smut, romance), yet it seems impossible for him to attain it.

Akira is meticulous in almost everything he does, almost, for some reason when he talks to women his brain shuts off and he never thinks anything through. He can think multiple steps ahead of someone while planning a strategic maneuver, yet after about five minutes will end up getting slapped by a woman. He doesn't mean to piss them off, it just sort of happens, and for the next month he will think of hundreds of other things he could have said, writing them all down and calling himself an idiot. He longs for a perfect woman as well, though her features are undefined, her personality characteristics are clear as day to himself.

Jiang told her sad story, and Akira felt himself physically hurt at the feelings she expressed... time it seemed had slowed down, he looked at her, she was sad, depressed, her face expressing exactly what she must have felt across the years of proxy for her dead brother... She finished and smiled at him, saying how she didn't regret coming to the Earth Kingdom... He felt his heart skip a beat as a smile lit up her face, expelling the dark feelings she had had previously. He gazed into her golden eyes, forgetting everything but her.

He moved his body on pure instinct rather than thinking it through. He placed his hands on her face, moving it towards his own, and brought himself closer, kissing her passionately. He savored every second, every smell, every bit of her as he continued this kiss. It was their true first kiss, not a hallucinatory kiss, not an unexpected battle-born kiss, but a kiss based solely on love... He moved away from her sweet face, smiled and said, "You don't have to pretend to be anything you're not anymore..."

Jiang felt how genuinly Akira looked at her and she actually felt relieved after telling him her background. Getting it out of the way.
She was about to say something before Akira placed his hands on her face and kissed her. His lips were so soft and warm. This time she closed her eyes and answered the kiss with as much passion as she was receiving and maybe more if it was possible. As he pulled away she instantly missed his lips and looked him in the eyes. He was smiling and she smiled back without thinking.
"You don't have to pretend to be anything you're not anymore..." Those words...she was shocked to hear them, yet so incredibly happy. She felt like this was what she had wantde to hear her entire life, recognition...and it being somone like Akira telling her made it mean so much more.

This time it was Jiang who gently grabbed his face and kissed him, enjoying the warmth of his lips once more. This feeling was beyond comparison. She slowly moved away, placing her forehead against his while stroking his cheek with her thumb. She wished time would stop right now, but then she felt something in her stomach.
"As much as I don't want this moment to end, but, how does getting some food sound to you?"

She kissed him a second time, it was bliss, pure and utter bliss. She placed her forehead on his, and began to stroke his cheek, suggesting that they find food. He took a deep breath, gathering her sweet scent into him, before lightly kissing her forehead and moving away from the wondrous position he was in. He smiled at her as he began to put on his vest and said, "Yeah, I am pretty hungry too, what do you like?"

He moved off the side of the bed and slipped on his shoes before getting up, using the crutch as support. He put his sword on his back, not trusting enough to leave it in the medical ward... He moved to the other side of the bed and held out his hand to help her up, waiting for an answer.

She thought for a second. "You know..." She took his hand and got off of the bed aswell. "Anything sounds good right now, so I'm gonna let you decide." She stretched her arms up inthe air, stretching out her whole body in an attempt to remove tension from her back and arms. She walked over to her staff which she had placed next to the chair she had sat down on and placed it securely on her back before walking back over to Akira with a smile. "Do you want to invite your firend to eat with us? I don't even know her name yet..." She walked outside, wanting to get away from the smell of herbs and what not. As she exited the building she saw the doctor sitting on a bench outside, reading a book. She decided to thank the doctor again, but as she did he just gruffed and went inside. She sighed. "I'm still pretty sure he likes me..."

Akira followed Jiang out the door, he actually had no idea what to eat, they might as well just go into town and see what's there, pick some place that way. He walked beside her, his left hand on her back, and his right holding the wooden crutch. He was walking a bit slower than normal, but he was still able to walk at a good pace. He heard her ask, "Do you want to invite your friend to eat with us? I don't even know her name yet..."

Akira scoffed, then said, smirking, "Her name is Lan, I just met her today... plus I don't think she likes me too much... Also, she mentioned something about delivering something to the herbalists, she probably isn't here anymore." He didn't really want to find out because he wanted Jiang all to himself... every bit of her delicious body... every morsel of her scent, everything...

She thanked the doctor once again, but he just grunted at her, Akira did a small hand motion to symbolize a thanks, rather than speaking. When Jiang returned to Akira's side, he wrapped his arm around the back of her waist, she was about 6 inches shorter than him, so it was up a bit higher than her waist, more into her stomach. He smiled and said, "So I figure we should just go into town and find a nice noodle place or something..."

So her name was Lan. What a pretty name she thought. She would have to remember to thank her aswell as preperly introduce herself, but right now she had her focus on two things. Food and Akira.
She stood beside him and he wrapped his arm around her, making her look up to him and smile. [b"So I figure we should just go into town and find a nice noodle place or something..."][/b] Her smile widdened. "That sounds great."

As they entered the street, she grabbed Akira's hand, entwining her fingers with his. Then she started walking at a comfortable pace and looked around for a potential place to have some food. But as they walked Jiang noticed the looks she got from everyone...both men and women, even the children. She guessed they noticed she wasn't from around here. And it made her slightly uncomfortable with everyone looking. She looked at Akira and asked. "Is it that obvious I'm not from around here? And why does it seem like they don't really like me for it..."

The streets were still fairly well packed, despite the act of war by the Fire Nation. He felt his hand interlock with Jiang's, it was wonderful... They did, however, receive a good amount of dirty looks from the people. Jiang inquired into this matter to Akira. He scoffed and said, "Yeah, people here in the West are a bit more isolationist than the rest of the country, go down to the south or even the east and you'll receive much better treatment. and yes, your clothes are blue, remember? We never use blue dye for street clothes, only costumes and performing suits. We could get you some new clothes so you will fit in better if you want. But I think you look beautiful now, and that you should just ignore everyone."

Akira looked around and found an open restaurant. Akira smiled and said, "How about there?" From the outside it looked nice and quant, the walls were open, covering only the upper parts with cloths. There were tables lined up around the room, and a sign outside that said 'Hiro's Noodles.'

Of course...Jiang looked down at her attire. Blue as all the water tribe clothing. Then she looked around her and sure enough, everyone was wearing one or several shades of green. She smiled at Akira's compliment. "Thanks, but I would like to get new clothes...since I'm guessing I wont be going back home for quite some time, I might aswell blend in at least a little bit. And these smell of nothing but smoke and fire..." For now she would just have to ignore the looks and prejudice the people were giving. Right now she was just happy to be with Akira. She saw some of the girls looking at Akira and she frowned. They weren't really discrete and that was what bothered her the most so she walked closer and gripped his hand a little tighter.

Akira pointed to an open noodle shop. She smiled. It looked really nice and cozy and considering how hungry she was it sounded and looked perfect. "Sure, it seems like good place." She entered and smelled the scent of freshly made noodles and her mouth watered. She chose a table a bit in the back in an attempt to maybe avoid some of the stares, even though she was able to ignore them, haveing that many eyes on you while eating, she knew would get on her nerves.

Jiang chose a table in the back of the restaurant, probably to avoid prying eyes, people did seem to be eyeing them a lot, mainly girls too, it was a bit odd. But Akira ignored this and just focused on Jiang. A waiter came over, a small girl, no more than 13 years old and about 4' 6''. She had a very large smile that showed off perfectly white teeth. She giggled before saying, very enthusiastically, "Hello and welcome to Hiro's noodles! Hiro is my dad he's the owner! What can I get you two? We have got any kinds of noodles you can imagine and some other stuff too!"

Some other stuff too... Akira thought, very profesional... Akira smiled at her and said, "Um, I would like some Pan-fried noodles and Pau buns please," He looked at Jiang and smirked, "Are you familiar with our cuisine?"

Jiang smiled at the little girl who came to take their orders. What a sweetie. She thought and then looked at a grinning Akira after he had ordered. "Are you familiar with our cuisine?" Jiang chuckled and shook her head. "I have been living with monks the past two years and what they served there was, let me see, rice...rice and..oh! More rice. If we were lucky we could get some beans aswell on the side. So no, not very familiar but I'm happy to try anything. Like I said, I find myself staying in the Earth Kingdom for quite some time so I should know what's good, don't you think?" She smiled widely at him. His smirk made her swoon. She came out of her small trance and asked. "Is there anything in particular you would recommend?"

She chuckled before saying how she lived with monks, he loved her laugh, it was almost as angelic as her voice. She asked what food he would recommend. he thought for a moment before saying, "They have any type of noodles imaginable, but I would suggest leaving it to the cook, so go with the noodle soup, it is extremely diverse. Anyone and everyone cooks it differently, you can have turkey duck in it, pork, bamboo shoots, leechi nuts, cabbage, salted egg, fish, chicken, and so far, I have only tasted bad home-made noodle soup, which is why I leave it to the professionals now... Jennamite apparently doesn't belong in noodles..." He scoffed a bit, because he rarely laughs, and smiled at her. She stayed with monks, that is interesting... Akira thought to himself. He wanted to know more, he wanted to know everything, and he wanted her to know everything about him, from his worst moments, to his best... He wanted her to know everything, and he wanted her to realize how much she had changed him in just a few hours... She had a godly power, to be able to, with but a kiss from her lips, to change him, most would think it impossible... But this girl, this treasure, this gem, this goddess, proved all of them wrong.

Jiang laughed heartily. "You actually tried putting jennamite in the noodle soup? Wow, that is something I'n never thought I'd hear." Having made up her mind she turned to the little waitress and smiled. "Tell the chef to...surprise me. If that's alright?" She smiled teasingly at the girl and the girl just smiled and giggled while nodding her head. "I'll make sure it's nothing nasty tasting!" Jiang placed her hand on the little girl's head. "That's the spirit. Oh, and a cup of tea would be nice. I'll have a surprise there too." The girl ran off giggling, giving the orders to the kitchen.

Jiang leaned back in her chair, yawning and stretching her body once again.How happy she was. She particularly felt lucky, she had never thought that in her life she would meet someone who made her feel this way. This man, one single man had chenged her perspective completely when it came to love. She always thought marriage would be like her parents', nothing but just doing what she was excpected of. Cook, sow and most important: bare sons. But she didn't want that, that was not her. And here he was, the one thing she wanted. Someone letting her be who she was.
Jiang's smiled turned soft and sweet as she reached out her finger, gently placing it on Akira's nose. "Tell me about yourself. What's your favorite color, etc."

The waitress jogged off, enthusiastically. Jiang placed her hand on Akira's nose and asked him to tell her about himself, starting with his favorite color. Akira thought for a moment before saying, "You know, would it be too cliché to say green? Either that or black... not really sure..." He placed his hand on hers and moved it down to his mouth, kissing it, before placing it down on the table, interlocking his fingers with hers. He continued, "And general stuff about me too... well... I am 27 years old, six feet tall, I like reading, playing Pai Sho, and... well... I can't really think of anything else..." He really didn't do much, being with the Dai Li for most of his life really made him quite boring in small talk, most of his experiences were bad anyway, and he would wait to tell her about things such as death and the underworld, better to keep her from the squalor of his early years for a time. he wanted her to know, but this was hardly the place or the time for such a conversation... He smiled before saying to her, "What about you?"

She blushed and felt warm inside as he kissed her hand, interlocking their fingers on the table. "Oh, right, general stuff about me. I am 22 years old, about 5'5 tall..or short. Whichever you prefer, I've heard both plenty of times. My name means river...and I also like reading even though I didn't get a lot of time to read anything interesting. It was usually strategy books as a kid. Oh, I loved penguin sledding as a child, and I'm pretty sure I still would." She smiled as she recalled childhood memories, they might be few, but she did have some.
She was about to tell him more but the little girl returned with the food and she was impressed by the speed of cooking. She took a whiff of the food. "It smells delicious." She thanked the young girl before tasting and sure enough, it tasted just as great as it smelled.

Akira watched as she spoke, paying attention to the contours of her face, listening to every syllable, and loving it. He didn't notice that the food had arrived until Jiang mentioned the smell. he thanked the waitress as she began darting off. Interesting kid... Akira thought. Akira began to eat his noodles and pau buns. They were really good, he had tasted better in Ba Sing Se, but that was Ba Sing Se, so it was understandable. He looked up at Jiang and said, "Your name means river? Wouldn't that be a bit of a cliché too? My name means bright and clear..." He was told this by someone before he joined the Dai Li, their face faded and unrecognizable, but it was unimportant.

"How is it?" he asked, "Better than seal and tentacles?"

She smiled and shrugged. "You're right. It is cliché indeed but blame that on my parents. It's not like I got a say in it when I was younger. I was a bit too young to protest." She chuckled. "But you know, I kinda like it. I guess it's one of the few things my parents gave me I actually like. Althuogh..." She kind of trailed off before finding herself again. "I didn't hear my parents say it alot. After my brother died and I became the son...my father started addressing me by my brother's name. So did my mother."

She took a bite of her food and looked at Akira. "It's delicious, and much better than tentacles and seal. I never liked that anyways so most is better than that." Shi gently sipped her steaming hot cup of tea. The warming sensation spread through her body. She looked around the restaurant, noticing a few looks from nearby tables. After staring back at them for a few seconds she got annoyed and pulled her tongue at them, making them turn their looks away in disgust and maybe some confusion. But she didn't care. She looked back at Akira, smiling. "How about your food, is it good?"

She told another sad story, which made Akira's heart hurt at her clear sadness. But the pain was alleviated quickly as she stuck her tongue out to a few people starring, which made Akira laugh. She then asked him about his own food. He smiled and swallowed the food in his mouth before saying, "It's good, I've had better in Ba Sing Se, but the chef there traveled around the world and used ingredients from every nation in his food, making it amazing..." he always thought it odd that he loved that place so much, even though his clear nationalism made him hate the other nations. It was a bit ironic, but he always chose to ignore it, telling himself that it tasted so good because of Earth Kingdom innovation. He looked around the room and, after her display, most of the people were no longer starring, but a few remained. he looked at her and said, "So we're going to get you some new clothes after this then? I understand that the starring gets annoying, you're a rare, and unwanted by some, commodity is all."

Jiang loved his laughter, it was contagious so she couldn't help but to laugh along with him. He told her about the food he had had in Ba Sing Se, how it was better than tho one he had now. Jiang siled and and swallowed her food. "I've been to Ba Sing Se once, but I didn't stay very long. Barely a day so I didn't have time to try out the food there. I was supposed to have stayed for a while but all the commotion disturbed my meditation so I had to leave and somehow I ended up where you and Lan were." She smiled in a, 'well what do you know' way.
Akira was looking around and then turned to look at her, pointing out that they were getting her new clothes and she nodded. "Yes, that would be nice. I've never worn green though...maybe I won't look good in it." She frowned slightly. "But I shouldn't think about that. As long as people don't stare I'm fine."

Jiang frowned, worrying about her looks in the new clothes. Akira smiled before saying, "Oh please, you would look good in anything," He squeezed her hand tight in support, "And when it comes to Ba Sing Se, the lower districts are always loud, that's half the appeal of the city to some, there's never a dull moment. Once you get to some of the higher districts, with paved roads and no kids running around playing earth soccer, it gets a lot quieter, mainly at night though."

He finished his food and placed a bit of money on the table. he smiled at her, waiting for her to finish before saying, "So after we get you some clothes I think I should go give a report to the General." He didn't really want to do this, he wanted to stay with her forever, never having to leave her side, never having to go into a warzone again. Sadly, he knew this was impossible, he had an obligation to the military, an obligation that even this goddess might be unable to force him to stop.

Jiang nodded and smiled at his compliment. It was odd for her to recieve a compliment so she was especially thrilled when she got one. Akira said they should go see the general after getting her the new clothes. That's right...the military. Jiang didn't really think of that, during their time together he didn't seem like that kind of man to have been in a war...he seemed too gentle. She expected all men to have been to war and fights to be like her father. Harsh, cold and generally...well, emotionless. But she shouldn't think like that now, Akira was obviously different.
"Sounds like a plan, captain." She smirked teasingly at him and then she finished her food and stood up. "Let's get going then." she smirked again, exiting the restaurant and started looking up and down the streets, trying to figure out where to go.
