Description

Ana has a slender yet fit build, a darkened complexion with black hair and green eyes. She has a tattoo of a tribal wolf on her left shoulder.

Personality

While Ana takes were work as a detective very seriously, she has a rather charming personality. She has unbelievable quick wit and a sharp tongue which she uses to her advantage. She was born a military brat so she was a bit of a youthful delinquent as a child. That helps were connect with kids on the streets who just came from bad circumstances. She can be reckless at times, a little hot tempered. She served as a military sniper for the US Marine Corp, specificaly the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM). Also, Working in both organized crime and homicide units, she's seen some pretty gruesome things that haunt her, yet she hides it behind a sarcastic charade. It's hard to get close to her, since she keeps everyone at arm's length.

History

Santana Ramirez was born the only daughter of a renown Master Gunnery Sargent by the name of Javier Ramirez. She and her four brothers come from a long line soldiers. Her father served, his father, and his father's father were all soldiers. As a military brat, it wasn't easy growing up from base to base. She was something of a trouble maker, yet she straightened out as soon as she enlisted. Her mother died soon after she gave birth to her younger brother. Her father died of liver cancer nearly twelve years ago. Her eldest brother, Miguel, died in a training exercise, her second eldest brother, Alejandro, served in the Gulf War but due to Post traumatic stress syndrome, he committed suicide three years later. Her younger brother, Carlos, died in Afghanistan back in 2007.

She enlisted into the military at 18, and served for nearly 12 years. She earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before retiring and joining the police force at the age of 30. As in the military she rose through the ranks very quickly until becoming Detective. She never speaks of her work in the military and those who know her know better than to ask. At the time of the attack, she was off duty in her apartment.
