Description Details Kharl stands at 5'9, weighing in at 12 and a half stones. His hair is kept short and out of his face, with a pair of multi lens goggles perpetually pressing his hair up from his forehead. Watery gray eyes, under thick and dark eyebrows, look out over a hawk nose. His thick and ropy arms extend from broad shoulders, covered in coarse dark brown hair. His fingers, calloused from a life time of labor, are surprisingly deft and nimble. Kharl has a single piercing; an iron stud, squarish and crude, on his left ear.

Weakness(es): Kharl is addicted to dragon bloom and is prone to abusing alcohol.

Equipment: In addition to his tool belt (hammer, wrench, and more finely crafted tools etc. etc.), Kharl carries handcannon which fires three slugs, or balls, from a rotating ammo chamber. Slung over his shoulder is modified target rifle, flared at the end of it's slender barrel, that can fire up to a distance of 600 yds without wind. A set of multi lens goggles for delicate work and eye protection sits on his head, the right side extends out a few inches more with a telescopic attachment. Two horns of black powder dangle from his belt opposite a thick truncheon with two iron bands on the end.

Personal Summary: A city laborer, and former soldier, who augments his income with detail oriented work on the side.

Personality: Kharl is a man who remains forever on task, whether adjusting the giant gears of city works or detailing a pocket-watch for a rich patron or even on strike during a wage decrease. Once he sets his mind to something, he is driven to complete it. When he smokes a bowl of dragon bloom, with a glass of bourbon in his hand, seems to be the only time he can relax.

History: The city of Arkos is a great steam powered and clockwork mechanism, it's buildings shifting slowly around the clock tower at it's center, the black smoke from uncountable factories keep in in a perpetual gloom state. In this city are a multitude of artisans, craftsmen, laborers, and merchants. It was to one of these craftsmen that Kharl Udon was born.

His father was a middling cooper, a man who turned to the drink as the answer to his woes more often than not. As a young boy Kharl found himself working in the dangerous gear assembling factories to supplement his father's income.

As he grew older and learned more about the mechanisms he was taken under the wing of an elderly watch maker and locksmith who saw the potential in the boy. He learned much from his mentor and grew into a skilled individual.

During the Factor Wars, when the greatest of the merchants vied for factories and resources within the city of Arkos, Kharl was drafted to soldier for his employer. During this time he learned some of gunsmithy and how to kill a man. Kharl is not proud of his actions, the men and boys he killed were the same as him and deserved a better fate. It has been two years since the first Laborer's union put a stop to the wars, and Kharl's weapons only see light when he is deep in his cups.
