Weight: 282lbs "Been told I'm quite a bit heavier than my physique might show. I look nice and lean, but I told you I have quite the muscles on me and boy can they do some serious work."
Skills: A very competent close-range fighter, being extremely adept at the use of his staff, which can change in length on a whim. It can still only grow to about twice his height in length, but can shrink down to the size of a needle for easy storage. It is also very heavy for being a simple bar of studded metal, heavier than it's appearance would suggest to most.
He does not rely on his staff though, and is more than capable of fighting with his hands, feet, head, knees, elbows, even his tail if need be. This coupled with his unnatural strength and agility makes him a danger to engage with.
Clothing/Armor He wears loose clothes that will not restrict his movements too much, however he does wear heavy scale armor that covers his torso, his arm while leaving his hands free and exposed, as well as protection over his legs yet keeping his feet free of any constraints. He also is very careful to make sure his tail is also free of any constraint, as nothing bothers him more than it being unable to move. Fortunately for him, his unnaturally high strength allows him to remain very agile despite the metal covering his body.
"Come on, I dare ya to take a swing at me! I can promise that if ya do, it's gonna be hecka fun for one of us! Don't want to spoil who's gonna be having the fun though."
Occupation: Crew member aboard the Atlantis. "When I found out that a ship was leaving with the Princess to go...somewhere, I couldn't possibly resist the chance to join in on that! There's no telling where were gonna go, what we're gonna run into, oh the possibilities are endless! Any chance I get to test my skills against something is a chance I'm very happy to take."
Likes: "I enjoy fruits, fighting, clean water, the sky, the ground, the clouds, fighting, sleeping, messing with the folks (that's just an occasional thing though, only when I know it's gonna be a good laugh....for me.) I also love climbing stuff, that's fun too. Now then, I'm looking to see if I can find someone to give me a good, challenging fight! Don't want to ever risk my skills getting rusty."
Dislikes: "Ok, so I've not always been good with authority. Now that isn't to say I won't listen, but either it's gonna benefit me in which I'll do what I'm asked to, or I gotta like you enough, in which case then I'll feel like helping a friend! Now Of course, I am a monkey who keeps his promise, so I'll help these people just like I said I would. Might just be in my own way most of the times.
Personality: Sun is as happy and carefree as many would expect from a monkey. He may be a bit more bipedal and far more intelligent and sentient than most of his other species, but he's still a monkey at heart. He's quite the curious fella, and he's always looking to have some fun. It's rare to break his cheery demeanor, as he takes it as a challenge when people try to anger him. Sun wants to see if he can annoy the other more than they can annoy him.
Despite how annoying and playful he might be, Sun is first and foremost loyal. He swore he would help the crew and the Princess, and he is going to uphold that promise to his last breath. He may make a habit of trying to annoy various members of the crew, but he will never try to hurt them. He'll defend the others with an incredible ferocity.
Finally, despite being hard to anger, that is when he is truly at his dangerous. Generally in fights, he is simply seeking to incapacitate his foes, but if he sees you as a big enough threat to his charges; or if you've decided to truly anger him, he wwill do any and everything to make sure they are killed.
Summary Sun Wukong does not really know much of himself, or why he is so different from the others of his race. He was simply a monkey born within a jungle were he grew up to become quite different then his brethren. He tended to walk on his hind legs as much as he did on all fours, he found himself somewhat attracted to the humans that lived nearby, curious as to how they lived. He was able to pick up on the social norms of the humans, and disguising himself enough meant he could actually blend in among the humans. Still, he found he still preferred his own kind for the most part.
It was until he discovered a group of martial arts students training within the jungle, having been guided there by their master. Sun observed them for a while, but soon decided to reveal himself to them all. It was not an easy start, as a talking, bipedal monkey was not something most people were accustomed too. Eventually though, he was allowed to join in on the training, and his love for the martial arts was born.
Enthralled by the art of fighting, he began to journey around, seeking challenges to test himself against. Whether they be physical or mental, Sun pursued them, even if he knew he'd be outclassed against a more experienced opponent. For him, the challenge itself was a grand experience, eventually moving on to except most challenges thrown his way, even if they no longer entailed the art of combat. He always just loved doing something and experiencing something new. It's one of the biggest reasons he's joined up on the crew of the H. M. S. Atlantis; knowing that such a trip will allow him to experience more of the world, he could not possibly pass up the opportunity.
