Elesh blinked for a second and turned to the source of the voice. Looking beside her, it was Krein. She tilted her head to the side at him. She had never seen him hang from anything before, not while paying attention anyway. It was odd looking, he almost looked like a python of a sort, but still very human as well. His question finally registered after a few moments and made her shiver a bit from the train of thought being broken again. "yeah, yeah. I'm fine. Just thinking of what to do with some of the stuff I found." she said, scratching the back of her head.

She could feel the heat rising in her face and her wings responded by lifting up to cover about half of her face. As much affection as she had for him, she didn't want to admit it to him or give it away. She covered the rest of her face with her wings, now turning a shade of bright pink.

Elesh blinked and nodded at krein. Her mouth was open, trying to say something; but nothing would come out. The bat watched him leave and started cursing to herself once he was out of sight. Elesh felt stupid, flapping her wings and frustration with herself, but started to return to her own chambers. She walked on the top of the pipes again, toward the dark end of the factory and back into her makeshift room. Her face was completely red as she curled herself up into a ball and tried to think of other things. The cool air in her room calmed her down some, though she made a note to move elsewhere lest it become too cold in a room without the warmth of the morning sun. For now, she swung her hanging net bed, trying to keep her mind off of the serpentine male.

She got up and started to pace around the room, thinking of what to do with the barrel and the various other materials in her room. Knowing skyler was on a hunt, and having a hunch that not everyone here was a carnivore; a lightbulb went off in her head. "That's it! If I can find a way to make something to preserve what we don't eat or even make it into something else, then maybe that way we could live off about two deer a week or go into the city for food!" she said out loud as she paced. Then there was her bed. She liked that it was off the floor and gave her comfort, but it didn't give her privacy. Her eyes gleamed with rapid thought as she started muttering to herself as she started inspecting it.

Elesh smiled at her creation, with old fabrics and a few more pillows on the inside, she had made a hanging den that had a bit more privacy then what it was before. But now, she was bored again, sitting at the edge of the den and looking out the window at the rising moon. She started to wonder what was around the factory that could be used or fixed. She smiled as she started climbing toward the hole in thr roof that had become her easy exit. She poked her head out of the building into the night air and soon was standing on the room. She looked down at the hole. "That'll need to be fixed before it rains." Said said to herself as she flew off the roof.

Freedom in the air used to be a dream when she was in the facility, but now it was real. Flying against the rising moon was one of the best feelings in the world to her. Flying over the treeline, she started flying circles around the factory as if looking for something.

The bat's ears twitched at the call of her name. In the night, her eyes saw all that moved in the darkness. Nighttime hunting seemed to be the best for junk and from what she could hear in the distance, food hunting as well. She made one more round of the factory before landing in some trees nearby the source of the voice. The rustles of trees and branches from her climbing down to ground level. "Nice night for a walk huh?" She said, ploping down next to krien.

She let her wings hang loosely from her shoulders like a cape as she stood beside her. Sure, Elesh's sleeping schedule was diffent from the normal (and less human looking) bat, but for the time being, it seemed like the day time was going to be more interesting. "I saw lights in the east and moving lights on the pathway a little to the south. Maybe that's the city in the east."

"The city?" Krein said, a bit interested, the first thought that came to mind about the city was the amount of people, but since the day was ending and the night beginning perhaps there wouldn't be as many people out and about as he thought. It would be a good chance to go in and scout the city to see where they could get food, clothing, and possibly anything else that could be useful for the group. "Do you want to go?" he asked, the question leaving his mouth before he could fully think through the positives and negatives of going. If they were lucky there would be few people out and they would have more freedom to wander the streets, finding important shops that would benefit the group, as well as have a bit of fun. He also wanted to know if there were any shops that sold warmer clothing, if going out at night would become something of a regular doing, he would very much need something warmer than the shirt he was currently wearing. There was also one thing that interested him, ever since he saw one back at the facility, something that a lot of the people there had on them, an item called a 'watch', if he could remember correctly. He wasn't quite sure himself why he found the items so interesting, but if he could he would like to get one himself.

Elesh gave Krein a confused look. Sure, the night was falling but there were sure to be noturnal humans milling about as well. And on top of that, she had no idea how far the city was from here. "I'd like to explore some. Then again, I've heard things about it as well." She mused. "Some not as promising as I thought." However, she knew that cities only got thick at it's core and was sparce on it's outskrits. A smile naked across her face. "Diving into the belly of the beast would put us all in jepordy, but the outskrits should held results." The bat looked to the east, her tail starting to absent-mindedly snaking around krien's leg.

Part of her was yelling other things that she cared not to express for fear of rejection, the tail being the unwanted expression of that. For now, her conscious mind stayed rational for the time being. She looked toward him. "How about a taste of it outskirts?"

"We're close," Krein said, his mouth slightly open so that his tongue could catch the chemical scent of the people. His grip on Elesh's hand tightened slightly, although he wanted to go into the city, he was still a bit nervous about it. This would be his first time being in a place with so many random humans walking about. "What do you think it will be like?" he asked, a mixed feeling of nervousness and excitement in his voice. How far through the city will they have to go to find what would be needed for everyone, he wondered to himself. His pace slowed as the smells, sounds, and the faint sight of the city came nearer, they were almost within the city itself. Roads and buildings came into view, as well as the faint sounds of chatter from the people that were still wandering the streets. His walking slowing down even more, his gaze glued forward, he started to think for a moment how he should react if the few people that were still outside were to try and interact with them. Perhaps it wasn't something he should think about to much, but think more of how to avoid the people as much as they could. He looked at Elesh for a moment before returning his gaze forward, he took in a deep breath, his heart starting to beat a bit. He intertwined his fingers with hers, keeping her close by to keep him as calm as possible.

Elesh's ears started to rotate like satilight dishes. So manny sounds starting to come into range. From chatter to a strange thuding that she couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. "I honestly don't know." She answered, starting to tap her claws on krein's hand as their fingers intertwined. She didn't know what to expect really. Most of the senarios that ran through her head Eden with everyone running from her or trying to capture her. Maybe she could pass it off as a costume or some strange body modification humans liked to do sometimes. But neither could explain useable wings. Her eyes were transfixed on the large building up ahead and the lights in the sky. However there was one building that seemed to get bigger and bigger as the got closer to the point state she could see color on it and doors, one of them being open.

"I think we may have found something." She said, now starting to match the serpent's walking pace.

Elesh pulled on the cloai from inside with a look of slight confusion. She had never worn such loose or counseling clothing. Most of the time it was tighter so she was able to fly without hinderence. But for the sake of keeping the humans from questioning them too much. Then again, she mused that when they return, that she could make one in her size. Once it was slightly more adjusted and her tail was out of sight, she nodded to him and took his hand.

Her curiosity was starting to show as she wandered inside. Looking at everything that was immidiantly within hands reach. "I think we're in the back of this place, but I don't see anyone or hear anyone." She whispered as they went deeper into the building. She sniffed the air, smelling lots of metal and cut wood the overwhelmed everything else. Soon enough, she could see why. The building opened up into what looked like a warehouse. Stuff on shelves were everywhere, tools, wires and other things that could help with fixing up the factory that everyone was at. The bat's eyes went wide as she looked around. She looked toward krien and then back at the expansion of stuff. "Well, lucky guess or huge haul?"

This place they had stumbled onto was wonderous, everything they would have needed in one place and more was right here. The other thing that came to mind was how big this place was. "I think for now we should stay together. All the lights are off and I don't know how your sight is. That and it'd be easyer for an escape if there are people around." She said walking in. There was very little light at all, but just enough for her to see everything with clairity and saw alot of stone. Stone and tile of many colors and shapes. She looked around, trying to find some type of bag or something so they could carry what they needed back. Something large caught her eye at the end of the asile. Very large bags, and a smile snaked across her face. Elesh darted around the corner and came back just as fast holding one of the large backs out to him. "The fates are good to us tonight, let's see if we can bring back some spoils of this little adventure."

Elesh's tail wrapped around krien's arm, leading him through the darkness. She could see all the things on the shelves, from tiny nuts and bolts to larger tools and items that she knew that she'd need some more help bringing back. Some things she slipped into her bag like a grill for something and a few solar panels. But that didn't fill the bags, those where just the nessescities. Now she ws looking around for the more interesting bits and things she could use.

Tools and hardware gave way to home items, and softer items. "It may get cold in the warehouse for a few nights." She said unraveling her tail from his arm."I'm gonna see what's on the top." She said before climbing the shelves to the top.

At the top of the shelves, Elesh started going through the bags of conforters and blankets. Some blankets started to drop down to the floor below with soft plops. She came back down, holding a few thick blankets in her bag along with other items. She smiled at him, tieing off her bag. "You seem lost. Didn't find anything you wanted?" She asked, wrapping her tail around his arm again. Even when she showed concern for her serpentine friend, she felt odd around him as well. He didn't care about her appearance, none of the others really did but she was sure they made a note of it every now and again. She wasn't even sure that this one even cared about her appearance. She blushed alittle at the thought, hoping krein couldn't see it in the darkness of the building.

(Lol blacksky I wanted to see that so bad XD LUCKY)

Eden skipped down the stairs (carefully- as careful as one can skip) and sat down on the floor. She ate a few deer pieces, surprised she didn't feel as hungry as she should have, considering the long trek and the hunting and whatnot. What she did feel was fatigue. The physical activity was finally taking its toll. Standing up and yawning, she walked back past Skyler and began stumbling back up the stairs. She paused "I'm tired," she called out to Skyler. "Imma go sleep..." she trailed off and continued back up to the room they had been in before. Eden looked up at the night sky one more time before curling up on her side on the floor and drifting off.

Elesh nodded, seeing his plight and patted him on the back. I see. I've an idea. Think about what you need to live; not as an item, but what the body tells you that helps in survival." She said as she dug into her bag. "Take me for example. I have fur, but I still need warmth when cold and I eat meat, but can hunt for myself." She said taking out a large folded blanket and a grill, possibly for a camp fire or something. "That goes for everyone, especially you." Elesh unfurled the blanket around him, her ears starting to move around like satilight dish. "I hear rain approaching as well. Cold doesn't suit you." She looked around, trying to look around for anything else of use. "So with that in mind, what else does your being need to stay alive?"

Elesh patted krein on the back again. "The basics, but it's a start. Weaponry I can make in the meanwhile if I have the meterial. For now, I think we have what we need for the time being." She said raising a wing as she leaned on the shelf. "I think the others would appritiate our little discovery as well if they're nor all asleep by now." In all reality, elesh was indeed a bat, however not being able to get a full night's sleep for 72 hours straight and escaping from the place she called hell form before she could hold memory takes it's toll on the body. "Not to mention, it's storming outside. If you get to cold you can sleep in my den for the night." She offered. It was a strech, but she didn't want to seem selfish or anything of the sort, if anything she wanted to confort of not sleeping alone in a strange place for the first time. She didn't make eye contact, still eyeing the aisles in case someone were to come their way.

Elesh smiled, partially from the satisfaction that she could hear and smell no one else but them and partially from Krein taking her offer. Her tail again wrapped itself around his arm as she started to wander out of the darkness of the building. From what she could hear on the roof, the worst of it must have subsided for the time being, but knowing the air current and it's scent; she knew there wasn't much time until the hard pour started up again. "Come on, I'll cover ya." she said as she opened the door and spread a wing over his head.

The rain soaked her as she kneeled on the ground, tears mixing with salt with the coldness of her face. She bit her lips, to hold back a sob, trembling.
The roof felt unnaturally hard beneath her fingers, the cold wind bit her down the the bone. She watched him turn away from her, and all the loneliness and sadness she felt for years all came rushing back to her. She had just found happiness, and now she is going to lose it all over again.
I won't let him leave me alone...I won't let him be alone...
She stood, throwing her arms around Shane, supporting some of his heavy body so keep him standing. She rubbed her fingers across his chest, and buried her face into his neck. The tears pushed past her wall, and flowed onto his shoulder as she sobbed, "Then I'll come with you...Shane...I don't want to-to lose you...not again..." a heavy sob came, causing her to lose her breath for a moment. Her body was shaking, from anger and cold, "Shane I won't let you go!!"
