Theme: Obsession - .Hack//Sign Opening Theme
Image Song: Kirameku Namida wa Hoshi ni - Fate/Stay Night Opening

GENERAL INFORMATION
Gemstone: Amethyst
Role: Tainted Amethyst

Gender: Female
Nickname(s): Ai, Aya
Alias(es): The Seer
Age: 18 years old
Love Interest: Ayame has always thought that “Love” was never meant something anyone would feel for her, nor has she ever felt “Love” for anyone. She came to decide that “Love” would never be anything she could come to feel.

APPEARANCE
Height: 5'4”
Weight: 120lbs
Measurements: 34-28-34
Build: Ayame's build is fairly straight and lean, yet her chest and hips have a slight, delicate curves to them. She is not under nor over weight, but what others would say is height/weight proportionate given her body shape and frame.

Hair Color: Ayame's hair is much like an optical illusion that passes between shimmering hues which vary from a light pinkish violet to a deep, dark purple, when in motion. However when Ayame is motionless and depending on the source of illumination or if there is any light source at all, her hair appears single in coloration when in actuality her hair is true mixture of purples.

Eye Color: Ayame's eye color is best described as a glazed over pinkish violet color.

Scars/Tattoos/Piercings: None, for even if she did, Ayame would be unable to see them.

Gemstone Placement: Always in plain view, Ayame's gemstone lies between her eyebrows and is ½ an inch by ½ an inch. It is shaped in the form of a symmetrical five-point flower and slightly juts outwards, while it’s placement is linked to a myth that the jewel provide a mental guard and could heighten specific attributes.

Description: Ayame's likes to keep her hair long, specifically waist length, and unbound. Her hair tricks people into thinking it changes color when in truth it’s a mixture of pinkish violet to deep purple hues. Ayame also has clean-cut bangs that end just above her eyebrows and two sets of clear-cut layers that frame her face; One which ends at her cheekbones and the other just below her shoulders. Silky, straight and fine in composition, Ayame likes to keep her hair maintained so it keeps a healthy “shine”. On occasion Ayame allows children to dress and style her hair to look more exotic or foreign because they feel it makes her appear noble.

Ayame is of healthy weight for her height, figure and frame—With slender, slightly toned arms and legs as well as a flat stomach. The slight curves to her chest and hips give Ayame some shape to her figure, but not enough to be considered to have a “hour-glass” shape. Ayame sticks to healthy eating style and indulges only once in awhile in sweets and maintains her physique by walking and doing daily chores without help.
Ayame's skin tone is naturally fair and gives off a clean, healthy glow. Even though she has been on her own for almost her entire life, Ayame loves the feeling being clean and polished at the beginning and end of the day.

Ayame has a slightly round and soft, yet delicate youthful looking face. Which usually has people mistaking her to be a couple years younger then she really is, with her slim button nose, high cheekbones and doll-like lips. There is also the floral amethyst jewel between Ayame's thin exotic eyebrows that is visible to all who look at her face.
Ayame's eyes are of a slightly roundish-almond shape and of pale pinkish violet color. Her eyes have a glazed over appearance, which give Ayame an unknowing gaze type look. This is mainly due to the fact that Ayame is completely blind.

Ayame often has a blank expression on her face, but sometimes there are hints of a smile when children brush and style her hair for her.

Preferred Clothing: Ayame has always preferred short close-fit clothing--more preferably robes or dresses that tied and kept closed by soft or smooth sashes (Such as Kimonos). While if she could afford a more high-quality material typed clothing, Ayame would much rather wear that for style and comfort.
Unfortunately Ayame is subjected to wear dull, heavy and uncomfortable ankle length church robes that leaves her feeling like she is being suffocated.

MENTALITY
Oddities:
Blind – Ayame cannot see, she has been this way since birth. She is sometimes told by the children that she can see, just not with her eyes.
Very Quiet – Most of the time Ayame passes her silence off as being shy or nervous, but really she just does not feel a need to speak often or frequently to others.
Clothing – Ayame designs her own clothing. How you may ask? She pictures it in her mind's eye and then describes it to a seamstress who makes it for her.
Independent – Ayame much prefers to do things on her own, whether they are simple or complex tasks. She may be blind but not incompetent.
Sleeping Habits – Ayame always sleeps with her hands covering the jewel that lies between her eyebrows.

Skills:
Softly Sung Lullaby – Ayame is popular with the children for singing lullabies to them when they are sad or injured. When they hear her singing the children quickly gather together to listen.
Story telling – Ayame likes to make up fairy tales and make believe adventures for children, though they are often short, the children love to see the world Ayame sees in her mind.

Likes: Children, Cats, Flowers, Lullabies, Music, Stories and Time alone.
Dislikes: Lack of sight, Uncomfortable clothing, Spicy or Tasteless food, People who take pity or look down on her, Insects and Reptiles.
Hobbies:
-Singing and telling stories to children.
-Daydreaming in silence.
-Smelling and picking flowers.

Phobia(s):
Entomophobia - Fear of insects.
Herpetophobia - Fear of reptiles or creepy, crawly things.
Algophobia - Fear of pain.

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Personality: Ayame is well aware of how the world works but also knows her place in society, making her capable of fitting in and adjusting to her surroundings. Ayame prefers to just blend in with the groups of people around her at any given time. Ayame is best compared to that of a chameleon and is just as harmless. She has never met anyone, when first meeting, whom she wouldn't consider a friend. But “friend” is a term that Ayame uses quite loosely. She comes across as a kind and caring soul, who enjoys getting to know new people and unless given a sensible reason to dislike someone, she likes everyone. But even though she could have any number of friends, she doesn't have anyone who is really close to her. So even though she is friendly and enjoys being around other people, she is skittish and quiet, making it almost impossible to get a grasp on getting to know her. Also, Ayame is the type of person who either runs with the flow of the people around her, or against them. It is always either one extreme or the other, so one minute you may be a friend to her and the next you are someone who is in the way. This is usually depended upon how a person, or a group of people, makes Ayame feel she is wanted and needed.

Ayame is a very patient individual and does not become agitated easily. In fact, she cannot not remember the last time she lost her temper. With her calm, cool and level-headed nature, Ayame is considered charming simply by being soft-spoken and polite. Even in events of distressing situations, Ayame is capable of remaining calm and rational. She is always thinking through a situation instead of reacting impulsively. Ayame has never been one to stand in the spotlight, but knows how to deal with it if she is pushed into the position.

Ayame enjoys experimenting with new ideas and concepts, and creativity seems to flow through her veins. She is a lover of art and music, but unfortunately she has few outlets in order to express her creativity due to her blindness and is left with only picturing things in her mind's eye.

Ayame's very well known for being a hardworking young woman, who is reliable and responsible as well as very intelligent and practical. Ayame likes to keep the fact that she has a sharp memory to herself, as in doing so she is able to blend in with others better.

Ayame is oddly honest, yet also seemingly unemotional and detached. She is also very secretive and vague when it comes to anything involving herself. She is known for being stubburn and has difficulty accepting authority and adhering to regulations. Ayame is often inflexible and sometimes even unpredictable.

COMBATIVENESS
Powers:
Prophecy/Visions
Protection from illness
Cognitive Control

Abilities:
Prophecy/Visions – Ayame can catch glimpses of possible futures, for there are many paths and choices that could always change the outcome, which usually come to her in her dreams. She can also sometimes use it to help find lost people or possessions through touch.
Protection from illness – Ayame has never been sick a day in her life, she is immune to contagious diseases and allergies.
Cognitive Control – Ayame is in full control of her own thoughts, memories, problem solving and decision making. Her mind is locked from others possible intrusion, allowing her to retain sober and serious mind. Ayame can be persuaded using logical reasoning however.

Weapon Discipline: Hand-to-Hand Combat

Fighting Style: Ayame has never had to actually fight before, but thanks to her inability to see, she has heightened her other senses. Ayame has acute hearing and has learned to quickly step out of harms way. Along with Ayame's heightened senses, her ability to sometimes sense or see glimpses of the future in her mind's eye, allows her to have the possibility of getting the upper hand on a foe.

Ayame will stand her ground and use her strengths to her advantage if she can. She prefers to immobilize a threat and not injure or kill them if it can be avoided, whether that be by knocking them unconscious somehow or keeping them preoccupied until someone who has real combat experience can step in and remove the threat.

BACKGROUND

Relationship Status: Single
Family: Unknown

Personal History:
Ayame was left abandoned on the steps of a church in a crumbling town within Aeval An Domhan shortly after her birth. No one had seen who left her there, nor was there any indication they planned on coming back for her. Only wrapped in a simple and bloody linen cloth there was not even a name to tie Ayame to anyone.

The first and foremost anomaly the church members noticed of course, was the imbedded jewel between the baby's eyebrows. Second was that the baby girl was blind. No one knew quite what to do, that is until one member came forward and offered to raise the blind newborn. And while the other members were hesitant to allow this aged woman to care and raise a child who would face great hardships in the future, especially with the combination of having being blind and having a jewel imbedded upon her flesh. But she would hear none of it, they could not turn out a child, more importantly a newborn, into the crumbling world.

And so she gave the baby girl the name, Ayame Tsukino, meaning Iris of the moon.

Growing up in a church was probably the safest place for Ayame. For it was there she was sheltered and protected from view of others, keeping the imbedded amethyst a deep guarded secret from the world. If for any reason Ayame did have to go out among the public, she was given a robe with an attached hood that would drape over the jewel, hiding it from view. But of course one day around the age of tweleve, someone asked Ayame why it is that she always wore a hood that hid most of her face from the world. Ayame spoke softly and honestly to them, while at the same time pushing back her hood and looking them in wear she figured their face was and said--“To keep people from seeing this pretty jewel that shows me beautiful things when I close my eyes, because I'm blind and can not see as others see.”

Needless to say, it didn't take long for the whole town to know of Ayame and her secret. People often whisper and speak ill of Ayame when she is out of earshot, but even so, she knows the things they say. The talk about how strange she is with her “Mind's Eye” and the things it shows her when she is awake and dreaming. Also how alarming it is that she can get a sense of the future or where lost people or possessions are located. But what most people dislike, or even dispise about Ayame, is how she has never once been ill or injured or how calm and practical she is.

But Ayame never let these things get to her by locking them away in a box inside her mind and continued doing as she always has. Living her life in the church with helping the elderly, the ill and the children. Whether it be getting medicine for them, helping them eat or dress, or reading and comforting those in need.

It has only been recently that Ayame has begun to question her purpose and reason in life, and more importantly why is this jewel imbedded unto her flesh. Why was the gift of sight taken from her? Is there some place where she would truly fit in and belong? Is there something more she should be doing?

Where can Ayame find the answers to her rapidly growing list of questions?
