Calm and composed, he kills without regard for class, age or gender. All he needs is a justified cause - and adequate payment.

Equipment

Quadforce - the "Four Elements" blade. A magical blade forged especially for Lucas, it has four different forms each with its own ability. Lucas can switch between any of the four forms during battle or use their powers in combination (for an instant), but usually only marshals one form at any point in time.

1. Eisenmeteor - Quadforce's default form. Basically a large claymore which serves as a regular blade, except that magic as no effect on it (however Lucas can still be hit by magic).

2. Explosion - A sword with no proper cutting edge (ie, he cannot slash opponents with this) but creates a powerful explosion on contact with the enemy. However, the shock of the impact is powerful to the extent that if Lucas uses it in succession too much, it could possibly hurt or kill him.

3. Silfarion - This allows Lucas to become extremely light, granting great speed and the ability to create blades of air for long-ranged attacks. However, the Silfarion is relatively weak as a mêlée weapon and is no more than a normal sword for attacking. This form also allows Lucas to catch his opponents unaware, though foes who can predict it; can block it with ease.

4. Mel Force - The sword of air, this form allows the user to fire powerful bursts of air at the enemy to blow them away and paralyze them.

History

Lucas is the heir of the Black Phoenix clan. Perhaps that is not an accurate description - he is the last survivor. The Black Phoenix clan used to be powerful one, a clan of assassins who had sworn themselves to uphold the balance of the world. They aid neither the good nor the bad, but whoever pays them enough gold and gives them a just cause for the contract.

A long forgotten war had wiped out the clan, as they had taken it upon themselves to see the destruction of the leader of the enemy, who held a great and terrible stone of tremendous power. Lucas was the only survivor and had managed to destroy both the leader and the stone, but all the power contained within it could not possibly just dissipate into the air. It flowed into Lucas and thus prevented him from aging, though it did not seem to grant him any other abilities.

Lucas traveled to Russataia long before King Egan had taken up his rule, and sees Russataia as his home - even after the atrocities of the current king. He still lives by the creed of his now extinct clan, to kill whoever offers him a just cause and the gold to back up the contract. Though he has killed for the king on occasion, he has no love for the king or his rule.
