Gavin was slipping through the shadows of alleyways as best he could trying to keep an ear out for any guns firing in a closer proximity.
"It should be around here somewhere." he said as he was looking up at the buildings and following some metal pipes.
Gavin stopped in front of a building " This is it" he said but the door was barricaded by something. He looked up and found an open window and with a thought his metallic tendrils shot from his back storage area and extended while lifting him up to the window. He eased himself in quietly and dretracted the tentacles to bring them inside the building.
Gavin stayed still listening for any sound and he reached into his back pack for some night goggles (due to the fact he didn't get any ocular modifications)
The tendrils moves silently outwards and found places to hold onto and Gavin was gently lifted into the air as he started to move over the floor about half a foot (in case of any traps and sensors on the ground. Patiently he moved trying to make as little noise as possible when he heard something coming from downstairs.
'So someone is here'. he thought.
Gavin pulled out two hand guns and switched them to silence mode. 'Friend or foe' Gavin wondered and he made his way to the stairs.

Had he been heard? Gavin debated whether he should continue with stealth and possibly be attacked or go all out and make noise, which of course would draw friends and foes alike.
Gavin's tendrils quickly pulled in and started wrapping themselves around him and then expanded making a metal ball. He quickly rolled out into the main room and was welcomed by more silence. He was safe in his cocoon, more or less, so he expanded it slowly so that it was larger and there were slight cracks between the tendrils so that he could look around.
"This is it," he said as he looked at about twelve different monitors that looked over the surrounding area for maybe a distance of ten blocks. Gavin let one tendril uncoil as he moved it over to the surveillence system and then felt something touch the side of his head.
"Bang," said a familiar voice of one of his instructors. " You were doing so well to Private Gears. If you had looked around more you would have noticed this place is also being monitored in case of intrusion." The gun withdrew from Gavin's cocoon and pointed to another set of screens which were of the doors and windows of this place.
"End simulation," said the voice as the entire room fizzed out into a huge empty room that had one giant class well, where other instructors and trainees observed each other's progress. "Better luck next time Gears."
"..." Gavin just nodded.

The simulation chamber changed to a battle field in a few seconds. Cyrus gave the mental command and his thin helmet was around his head. Once his camouflage was activated he quickly and silently made his way up a collapsed building, a perfect sniping vantage point. He quickly found and neutralized the six long distance targets, each with one bullet.
Cyrus heard footsteps behind him, instinctively he opened up his hollow left arm and removed two combat knives, crouching in he shadows he waited. The three targets were moving in a standard enemy formation, Cyrus waited for the precise moment to strike. He leaped from the shadows and drove the first two combat knives into the backs of the two rear men, he quickly grabbed another knife from his forearm and threw it, hitting the third and final target. With that the simulation was over. "Well done. Not only did you get an A rank, but you also improved your reaction time by 1.8 seconds as well." the operator said. Cyrus picked up his gear and left the room. "Still not an S rank..." he said quietly to himself.

"Still just a B, they won't let me on the battlefield unless I at least achieve the A rank." He left the monitoring room and decided he wanted to go outside and get some fresh air.
He followed the hall and ended up at a balcony and stared up and down. "Too slow any other way" He jumped off and his tendrils poured out like quicksilver and formed spring formations and absorbed the impact of the fall and as they withdrew he continued on his walk and decided to go to his favorite place in the forest.
He found the small lake, or large pond, depending on the person. and sat down thinking about his problem with losing focus. "Next time" he said with a cold fury. Gavin had always tried not to take a life in his simulations but it is coming up to the time when all A and S ranked soldiers were going to be sent to the frontline. "Next time, I'll tear everything apart, he said matter-of-fact-like "I will not be left behind"
