Ah, D:WW, how I have missed you... Oh, sorry didn't see ya there. Let me introduce myself. I'm Isaiah Everidge, avid Digimon: Worldwide player and one of the first to hit the mega level.
I guess I should talk about the game, huh? D:WW was announced in late 2012, with the beta released in early Spring of '13. Toei had been secretly working on Worldwide for a good while, sending out beta invitations to Digimon devotees and somehow keeping it quiet. My friend was given an invitation because of his vast amount of contributions to... oh, I forget the name of the site. However, the main reason he was able to make those contributions were due to my knowledge on just about every Digimon. No, I'm not really proud of the fact that I know that much about Digimon, but it ended up getting me an invitation too.
Back in the early stages of the beta, there were only eight playable starting Digimon; Agumon, Gabumon, Dracomon, Salamon, Falcomon, Hagurumon, Impmon, and Veemon. Now you can pick just about any rookie you want, and you didn't choose your partner; You were your partner. Toei decided to go the way of Digimon World 4 and the digivolution requirements were just as steep. I mean, to digivolve into Raptordramon, you had to go through an insanely long quest line and... Anyways, you could become any Digimon you wanted through digivolution in the beta. Until the fans got a hold of it. While, yes, becoming any Digimon you wanted to be was neat, it just wasn't right, you know? Eventually, Toei changed it back to you could only become a Digimon in your character's official line.
When the beta was in it's final stages, it was announced that the players wouldn't be able to keep the Digimon they had been playing as, making a lot of fuss. Toei, however, stood firm on it's decision. When D:WW finally came out, it seemed like even closet Digimon fans were waiting in line for it. I was surprised to see that two of my friends were playing, friends who had previously bashed digimon on several occasions. On our way through the game, we picked up some other players and eventually became one of the best known groups out there. We would spend whole days questing together and hanging out online... before it happened. I prefer to remember the days before. The eight of us were really close, Those were the days...
Other Info
The game Digimon WorldWide, is played with a fully Haptic vitual reality device. A helmet, gloves, and boots come together to create a fully immersed play experience that puts players directly in the digital world and in complete control of their avatar digimon's actions.
Starting areas are determined by what family your chosen digimon belongs to. The Deep Savers, Dragons Roar, Jungle Troopers, Metal Empire, Nature Spirits, Nightmare Soldiers, Virus Busters, and Wind Guardians each have their own rookie zone. Digimon with multiple families like Agumon, would start at the zone for the first listed family in his description which in it's case would be the Nature Spirits. Digimon not belonging to any of the above families will begin at a randomly selected starting area. (More Info will be made available in an OOC thread soon.)
Digivolution is possible for players through Digivolution items acquired through the completion of certain quests or as loot for defeating powerful enemies. All Digimon have two or more Digivolution lines they can explore through different evolution items available for their character. Once a new Digivolution is reached it is impossible to revert to a prior level unless the player is defeated in battle. When a player is defeated by means other than PVP (Player Vs Player) he or she is then reverted back to the rookie level to start over again and explore new Digivloutions.

I'm ok with that that though, the way I see it Isaiah will have somewhat of a personal goal for befriending Naoki or at the very least acknowledgement.

TheFIREYloaf wrote:Wow, glad to see an exceptional amount of thought put into your work. I gotta say, Light Yagami and L style character in a Digimon roleplay is certainly a unique and welcomed idea. (I might be a little biased considering I own every issue of the manga :P)
I don't think it'll be hard to decide who I'll be going to if I need any sleuthing in any case lol.
EDIT
During gameplay (Most of the RP)
we will indeed be playing as the digimon, but strictly as digimon... There will be no Frontier-like digimon hybrids in the RP
Not happening :P
Naoki would cringe just by being near Isaiah, hes too laid back and lazy in Naoki's opinion.
Isaiah would have to do something extraordinary to earn respect from Naoki, like hop on one foot while juggling active grenades.

TheFIREYloaf wrote:Outstanding, depending on whether or not LeeJ gets back to me we only have two spaces left to fill. I'll put out more OOC info sometime tonight since we're getting close to a starting point.
Ryuu: Thanks for the touch ups bub
Finalhazard: I like your character man, he'll be a fine addition to the bunch!
Thanks, I wanted to make a character that was extremely unique for this roleplay. I based some of it off of L and Light from Death Note.
In terms of originality though it took me two hours to choose the correct Digimon for him. The only thing I regret is that the rookie Digimon for him is so...bleh. But their ultimate forms fits his personality perfectly.
MetalPhantomon: His corrupt Justice in the form of a reaper, it's a long path but in the end it's worth it.
MirageGaogamon: His neutral justice that bears a Digital Hazard Symbol on his chest. The symbol itself shows Naoki's pure personality, the ability to be extremely destructive if corrupted and pose a threat to most around him.
Justimon: Pure uncorrupted Justice ...Nuff' Said.
Oh gawd, I just got a "Herp Derp" moment.
Are we playing as the digimon only?
Or do we have an avatar (Lets just call them Digidestined to sound like badasses) And a digimon?
Or are we doing.
"Oh, I'm a human that can turn into a digimon."
Regardless of the answer I'm still in the roleplay, I think my brain lost the part that stored my common sense after ten hours of Dark Souls.
