Appearance:General AppearanceShe stands at five feet and nine inches tall with broad shoulders, but a relatively small frame, all things considered. Her armor consists mainly of well-worn leather, with light-weight steel protecting more vulnerable areas. She carries with her a single-handed sword, often relying on it in battles. Her hair is dark brown, falling straight and often looks disheveled. She sports a light tan that accentuates her forest green eyes. Her other facial features are relatively full, betraying her tough nature. She has pouty lips, though they are often twisted into a grin or a frown of disapproval. Her high cheek bones give her an exotic air and her rigid posture makes her appear more regal than she is.
She has many tattoos, though many are not visible outside of her armor. The first is on her
]left shoulder, the second is on her upper,
right arm. Her most major tattoo covers her entire
back.
History:Zephora was born to a tribe of Chasind in the Kocari Wilds. She was used to migrating, as the Chasind of the Wilds normally do, and is now more comfortable on the move than sitting still. As a Chasind, she is used to furs and leather, finding little appeal in soft cloth or cold chain mail. When she was younger, something extraordinary occurred. As a hunter and gatherer people, the Chasind often train their boys in hunting and for battle while the girls are introduced to the art of keeping the home, including caring for children, drying leather, and preparing meals. Zephora had never felt drawn to the life of a woman in her tribe and often avoided her new duties by sneaking out into the Wilds to watch as the boys were taught basic survival skills.
One day, a boy found her hiding behind a tree and initiated a fight with her. He informed her that she needed to be reminded of her place as a woman. Zephora responded with raw emotion, shoving the boy before her. He crumpled in pain and Zephora was directed to stay within the confines of her home as the village elder held a meeting with his council.
The boy had been badly wounded, his strength just sapped from his being. She had nearly killed him. Magic was rare in the Chasind tribe, most were men and often became village leaders or healers -- the village elder himself was a magic user. He decided, due to the nature of her natural magic, she should be placed in combat training along side the many boys. She trained with them, but many avoided her or refused to be her sparring partner as her magic was feared. She eventually gained a close friend that stayed by her side. She lost him, however, when the Darkspawn attacked her camp in the Kocari Wilds -- she was driven in the opposite direction of most of her tribe by the relentless creatures. Badly wounded, Zephora traveled a long distance, falling in and out of consciousness. She had unknowingly ingested some of the Darkspawn blood and had gone through The Joining largely on her own. She remembers little of her experience in the Fade.
Mount/Companion: A black stallion, named Dubhradh, that she rides bareback. Her steed is just as temperamental as she is.
Exciting extra information:
Sexuality: Pansexual
Gender: Female
Languages Spoken: Chasind
Personality:
Zephora is unique, in many ways. Her lack of language abilities make it difficult for her to interact with those native to Ferelden; most see her as cold and antisocial. This is not the case, however, as Zephora enjoys making friends. She is used to individuals avoiding her, due to her experiences with her tribe, and is very rarely offended by it. Zephora is exceptionally loyal and cares deeply for those she considers friends or family. She enjoys a good laugh, but her humor can be crude and dark. She also finds interest in lore and would like to hear more stories and share her own, but language barriers tend to inhibit this. She is also relatively feral and will openly challenge nearly anyone; resorting to violence is not a far reach for Zephora. She is also an outdoorsman and finds more comfort in the wild than she does in even the smallest of towns.
