The plague beast rests within the depths of the den after such a long walk. Feeling well-rested, it stands up and starts its evolution, the fur on his neck is modified into quills, and the muscle surrounding it twist and form knots to fire-off these quills when needed.
His claws grow longer, as well as his fingers, developing a fifth, shorter finger, an opposable thumb, on his sets of arms.
His scales become bigger and thicker, forming dense plating on his body. The tail develops more muscle, and becomes as thick as his arms, now being able to swing it freely instead of needing momentum.

The plague beast calls forth its subordinates with a deafening roar that can be heard troughout the plains and into the mountains. Soon after, the vermin gather around the den, awaiting orders.

The plague beast comes forth, his fangs like kitchen-knives, his horns thicker and durable, its plated skin shining an earth-brown color with red accents, the muscular tail swinging its blade, ready to chop if needed, and the body, far stronger than anything seen, the muscular arms seem capable of ripping trough stone with the mighty claws, wich have been modified to be made of bone, its strength rivaling that of the perfectly smooth and shining rocks that were seen on the mountain.

The apex predator however, was far from perfection, it called forth the vermin, and voraciously ate hundreds of them. As he ate, troughout his back grew spikes that would shred the flesh of any if he fell on them. His body became muscular, his legs thicker, his chest more prominent, his arms grew even larger, as well as increasing the size and sharpness of his rending talons. His eyes perfected the vision he had, now able to hunt trough the night and even close-in his view on specific targets. His vision was perfect. His body, however, was not. The plague beast yearned perfection, it felt sick, knowing the things he lacked and couldn't achieve.

The beast saw the vermin, and decided to give them a second gift: Will-fully mutations.
The beast spat out the biological matter from his mouth and to each of his children, each one of them mutated to better suit their motives, those that were able to fly grew larger, gaining a greater wing-span and razor-sharp talons. The rodents were able to change their tails into a stinger, to pierce trough the thick hide of other foes, as well as being able to change it into a small mace to crack their bones.

These were no longer vermin, as they devoured the weakest and grew in size, the birds were the size of a harpy-eagle. While the rodents ressemble more a tibetan-mastiff with a vaguely rat-like head and a long tail.

The plague beast ordered his off-spring to reproduce, his kingdom lacked servants. And so, his children did as ordered, the beasts retreated to the forest and started mating. The sound of the beasts howling was found to be particularly distasteful to the plague beast, but he had to bear it for his own sake.

He retreated back into his den, the ravine closed behind him any possible entrance. When he reached the center of it, a vine dug deep within the earth in search for water. Upon finding an underground lake, it proceeded to siphon water from it and onto the surface and in a leaf modified to be thicker and solid, meant to hold liquids. The plague beast created his personal fountain of water. Delighted with its work, it created a seat of smooth and soft vines near the fountain to rest, and opened a shaft to the heavens to let light seep onto his new throne and himself.

The plague beast sat upon its throne, bathing in the sun. Resting...

The plague beast rose from his slumber. As he sat on its throne, gazing at the sky, something came upon him. Fear.
The plague beast knew that his existence wouldn't be eternal. That all diseases, eventually, heal and fade away. The beast felt fear, for not knowing its future, as such, it started to device a way to ensure its plague would live on.

The beast needed a child. With the resources within it, it created an egg. The egg was housed within himself and was protected by dense plates of bone. However, the egg was unable to keep the child within as it required nutrients, As such, the beast once more called upon its servants, as loyal as always, these came in a hurry. Knowing the desires of their master, they willfully sacrificed for the new heir and were devoured by the beast.

Each piece of flesh consumed fed the egg within it. With its massive maw, it easily ate trough hundreds of the vermin, until the egg bloated its stomach. Feeling ready, the bones in the ribcage of the beast cracked and loosed, its jaw unhinged and bifurcated as the egg tore trough the beast and into its palms. The beast fell on the ground, writhing in pain, the egg still on its arms. The broken bones heal soon after, his jaw reforms and he helps himself stand up with his free arms.

As he stood up, the plague beast proudly raises the egg above his head, prideful. The egg is covered in dense plates of bones for protection, has a green/brown color with a cammouflage style, and it's roughly the size of a basket-ball. He prepares to attempt to speak for the first time, his forked tongue licking his snout anxiously, the beast longed for this.

"Maah... Mah... My... Chaeeh... Child... MY! CHILD!" roars the beast in a deep, guttural voice, followed by the mighty roars of the vermin.
"MY CHILD!" roars once again "MY PLAGUE CHILD! MY HEIR!" screams the beast excitedly, followed by a blood-curling roar that is heard troughout the plains.
"My ssservantsss... Today, iss a great day, i've become a father. Mosst importantly, you have gained a prince for the kingdom. The plagued kingdom. Your. Kingdom." The plague beast grabbed the egg with its upper arms as it walked around the entrance to its den.

"Today, iss not only a great day for me. But for you asss well. I'll give you a gift. The gift of sspeech, and intelligence." The plague beast had a vine appear from the ground besides him. This vine brought with it water, however, the water was... "touched" by the plague beast. As such, it held within it the Sauropsida Plague.
"Pleasse, drink thiss water, it containss my blessing. Drink, and your eyess will open." The plague beast retired once-more into its den, leaving the vermin to drink the tainted water.
Soon after, screams of the vermin praising the beast as a god are heard.
The plague beast couldn't help but smile...

As it reached its throne, a vine sprouted from the earth. It took the egg from the plague beast, covered the egg in its vines and bark, and retired to the underground where it came from. The earth covered the hole, and a small flower with bright-violet petals sprouted in its place.

As things changed, the ice golems were improved to survive in temperate conditions, and more research was poured into the powers of Ice possessed by the empire. As had the centaurs appeared, so did wings appear upon some of the children. And what suprised almost all Flees was the one of these new borns was both a winged and centauric Flee, it also bore weapons upon its arms, and could fly and run equally fast, which is to say, faster then most centaur and flying Flees. The need for the improvement of science in their empire became swiftly apparent, so the budding could slow, and the Flees could do things both new, and old things easier than before, their age of advancement and technology had begun! This was the second time the mighty god had fallen out of his watching chair in disbelief, but this time his crystal ball of view went flying, he saw it, panicked, and was able to catch his mystic viewing device, place it back, and sit back down to watch the Flees advance more, the Sauropsida Plague had a mighty opponent now.

Strag decided he would grow bigger and stronger and maybe even have more Strag.
So he kept surviving. He wondered if there was something else out there that also wanted to become stronger. He gained intelligence, and thought backwards. He was given long term memory. He remembered the beast and thought it did not look nice.
He thought back on how it acted. It was harmful. It was scary. Strag needed to be bigger in case he met it. Then Strag would also be harmful.

After thinking about the mighty Predator that controlled the plague, it gained a goal, and intellect. It slowly grew, and gained control of growing and commanding plant-life, that wasn't plague ridden, I mean. It took a moment, and tried its hardest to develop children for it to increase its kin's population. Cthule gazed at his work, and smiled. Maybe the Strag would surprise him as the Flee had done twice before, and so he gazed, giggling like a school girl in anticipation.

The creatures remain calm as they study the flying objects, they're bipedal, parts of their surface gleams with slime, while others are covered in rocks, they travel in droves and seem to use a cilindrical device on their arms.

The vermin remain calm, acting like mind-less beasts as they observe the strange creatures...

As they pass by, the vermin on the earth communicate with those on the air "Speak to him" whispered the beast on the land.
The single flying vermin that was called mutates into a more slender form, it gains multiple wings and its shape is more aerodynamic. This mutation took less than ten seconds, and as soon as it finished, the vermin set off at the speed of sound towards the den of the plague beast. Entering trough the chimney and into the throne room, the vermin gives orders for it to close, and safely lands near the plague beast, woking it from its slumber.

"What iss the matter?" said the plague beast, without even bothering to open his eyes.
"Lord, we have seen strange flying creatures, they seem to be made of white rocks and slime, here, look." The vermin passed its king a small green orb.
"White rocks... like the ice on the mountainss. You ssay that thesse creaturess made of block of ices and mucus are capable of flight? I'll have to see this for myself." The plague beast eats the small orb, as it fuses with his being in his mouth, the images of the creatures pass trough his mind.

"Bipedal, they're covered in what seems to be an alloy. They have an arm specialized for firing small objects trough long distances. And they move in squads. They're scouting for resources... from their behaviour, and by how they looked at the lakes nearby dumbfounded, they're looking for water. Hmm... They're armed, and surely, there are many more.
Call the rest of the vermin, have them all gather in my den, DO NOT raise any suspicions." the plague beast opened the chimney again, for the vermin to fly out and gather the rest.

"Surely, they expect dumb creatures, we'll give them just that."

(I just noticed that everyone pictures the plains as if a literal plague razed it. It looks exactly like it was before the plague arrived.
It looks normal, fine, nothing out of place, animals still run about. The plague doesn't kills, it doesn't even wipes the memory of the beings unless needed.)

The plague beast graces the grass below him with his hands. He spreads the plague trough the earth now, and it rapidly spreads trough the entire land. However, the grass itself looks perfectly normal...
"Be my skin."

The plague beast inmediately feels the strange beings that the flying vermin told him about. "They're still here..."
A small marnen beast comes from a hole in the ground and climbs onto the same tree the flying beings and the small green creature are.

"King... Okay. See you."
The Strags climb down and go back to their "nest" of bushes.
They decide to make a wall hidden in the bushes by scratching of bark and they found better bushes and planted them and place them and made them taller so they had a 12 foot high camouflaged bush house with walls and a leaf roof. It was a big house but not so big with all the Strag inside. Strag had grown so they took up more room. they decided they would go outside every day and soak sunlight and water and eat berries and then come in at night to plan things and sleep.
The Strag liked the new house and hope the Flee things would come back.

The Flee flew off back towards the Northlands with the information ready to be shared with the King. A colonisation will be authorised with the warning of another sentient life and some 'dangerous' being who hasn't been located.
It won't be long until the Empire shall finally spread south.

The marnen beast drops from the tree, and sprints away from the creatures and in direction to the den of the plague beast. When it gains enough distance, it jumps in the air and mutates into a flying creature, its forelimbs are reshapen into wings and its legs are merged with the tail. It mutated into a small, flying snake.

After a minute of travel, it reaches the outside of the den and cries out for the plague beast.
"What news have you brought me now?" said the plague beast as the chimney opens for the vermin.
"Your highness, these creatures... The flee, i believe they're called, and the strag, are joining forces. Oh, pitiful me, the flee are the rock-based, flying beings. And the strag are the plant-based beings." the snake proceeded to repeat the entirety of their talk, word-by-word, to the plague beast.

"I see... they're metal-plated as well." the plague beast looks at its blackened claws "Like this?"
"Y-yes my lord!"
"It is time we organize into the empire we are." the plague beast roars with such a might that it resonates within the castle of marble in the mountains. The vermin knew what this meant, and mutated into fast-moving beasts to reach their king as fast as possible.

The beast exits its den and prepares for a short speech to its masses.
"My comrades, it has come to my attention that there is a menace that seeks to erase us. You might have seen it, they come from the mountains, they're able to fly, and their defenses are mighty. But i wonder if they're like us. We have dominated these plains in a matter of days. We adapted to survive. We adapted to conquer. And we continue to adapt, just as you adapted to reach me in the most efficient way. We must adapt to bring war if they seek it. They have weapons meant to pierce our bodies. We have claws, fangs, talons, and more! to rip and tear their spirits. Their being is clad in steel. We will show them that our very nature is harder than any alloy."

The plague beast turns to see the castle of marble in the mountain.
"Are you an ally, or a threat?"

"Organize yourselves, i want companies specialized in every aspect of war. I want a council. And i want them as soon as possible, each of the companies will choose someone to represent them. I want to know what will you call yourselves, and your brothers.
I am Lord Voth Domosh. The lord of the plague-bitten plains. Our kingdom is called Safras Nith. Our language, Ozkavosh. With this, ends the first grand meeting.
Groth."

Thousands of beings enter the den of Voth Domosh. All of them leaded by a single, stronger, leader.

"I see you have finished the preparations."
"Show me the companies that make the mighty army of Safras Nith.
Sek."

"Ozh Arkosh, Izhai'acha: Nith'gluth. Izhai voth izh nesh. Safras'irush gluth izh." spoke one of the leaders, his back, covered in a carapace that was fed minerals and metals to harden it. Far beyond anything the realm has seen. He had a hole on the carapace meant to fire heavy shells that spread terrible plagues or explosives.

"Ahm'zomfa. Ashm izhai?" spoke the king.

"Ozh Arkosh, Izhai'acha: Safras doz. Izhai voth icha doz." Spoke the second leader, he was more slender, his limbs perfectly suited for burrowing trough the ground at high-speeds. His hide gained a multitude of colors from the minerals it absorbed.

"Ashm."

"Ozh Arkosh, Izhai'acha: Alatho prozh. Izhai prozh izh nesh." Spoke the third leader. His build was far bulkier than even the king. His arms had ultra-dense plates that were wide and curved. The king had a bulwark to protect his servants.

"ASHM! ASHM!"

"Ozh Arkosh, Izhai'acha: Voth'gluth. Izhai voth izh khaz gluth izhai, khaz groth omoz." Spoke the fourth leader. He had muscular arms like the king. And two extra limbs that ended in weapons meant to cause utter destruction. A device meant to spit sharp and dense fragments of bone troughout long-distances and with machine-like precision. And a second device that spread a inflammable mucus.

"Ucha izh wullom?"

"Ozh Arkosh, Izhai'acha: Dok Eyik. Izhai eyik, ses. Ozhu voth lash." Spoke the fifth leader. He had massive wings able to carry its serpentine body trough the skies, and his arms were armed with blades on the forearms along with thick claws. Its tail was long and slender, capable of lashing at others, or strangling them.

"Lash. Thok groth domosh."

The five leaders left, to rejoin their companies and train them in the most efficient way possible.
There were only five other beings left with the king Voth Domosh.
"Izhai, sek."

The five beings come to the king and begin to speak. "Ozh Arkosh. We wish to serve as your council." spoke the five of them in unison.
"We have gained powers from crystals found in the land." The king "jumps" when they say this "And you decided to keep this from your ruler?"
The five creatures shuddered. "O-ozh A-arkosh. We came here to show you the crystals themselves. We would never take anything from our king." One of the creatures gives Voth Domosh a large shard from a crystal. Who thoroughly examines it.
"Ozh eyik... What kind of powers have you gained?"
"We are able to communicate trough our minds. However, we cannot - nor dare to try - to influence our brothers. We believe our king will be able to perfect this ability."

"Hmm... Eyik ashm. Tak izhai nesh."

The five councillors leave to deliver the orders of Voth Domosh.

"Izhai poz gluth nith."
