He opened his eyes, shifting them down his body immediately immediately. He was right - he lay on a beach, though it was filled with rocks instead of sand, along a stretching stream, his feet at it's edge. Past it was a tree-line of dark blues and greens illuminated only by starlight. Gilligan frowned as thoughts returned, memories, questions. He rested his head back into the stones and stared up at the sky - illuminated by thousands of stars, like an endless net over the sphere of a world he now lay. And he remembered the fires and the turbulence and the warning lights flash. This was not earth, Gilligan realized with tear-filled eyes.
