Appearance: Corik can best be described as the type of person who looks like more trouble than he actually is, his face has sharp features that contrast with his the bags under his eyes to give him a look that might be mistake as weariness from missing too many nights of sleep. His face even bears two long scars running from the bottom of his left eye to his shoulder, a scar that many have remarked seem as though it should have taken his eye out with how close it is. It is his eyes though that are the most striking. The idea of a bright eyed youth, shinning shimmering orbs in their skull, is something that would never come to you when staring into his eyes. One man remarked that his eyes were like the abyss themselves. His eyes have a dullness to them as well as a deepness, giving the impression of limitless depth but also of intellect as they never seem to stay still for long. These eyes become all the more striking when first met since more often than not Corik stands a bit taller than most people who meet him, more than a few persons have been unnerved by his eyes staring down at them. All of this though is negated by one thing, his smile. For a rugged and hard looking person his smile is the exact opposite, soft and warm it always seems to be there and unlike some people it never has a feeling of falseness to it.

Clothing: Corik normally wears a long cloak ending at his knees with a hood, this cloak is a light grey with markings and symbols from his homeland. He wears a thin white shirt underneath and plain black pants, everything fit enough that it doesn’t get in the way of his movement. Around his neck hangs a small necklace that he keeps tucked away bearing a lions tooth, he doesn’t show it too most people but the thin gold chain it hangs on can be seen around his neck. Finally he keeps his hands covered with a pair of black gloves that bear small metal studs in each of the knuckles, a metal plate on the back of the hand and small round plates on the tips of the fingers.
Scars/Tattoos/Piercings: He bears two slash marks running from the bottom of his left eye down the side of his face and neck, ending at the tip of his shoulder. His fairy mark is on his right elbow.

Classification: Caster Mage
Magic Type: Air Magic
Magic Details: Coriks’ magic revolves around the manipulation of air, this comes in many forms but the most basic one is that he can cause winds to gather and move towards or away from any particular area. This may seem useless but he can do such things as pull the air around an object so that the object in question moves, it is through this that he can move objects with his magic. His more complex magic techniques though are as followed.
Air blade: one of the first techniques he learned was to gather and focus the air into a cutting instrument, this allows him to create things such as knives or swords which can cut through most objects, these blades can be seen as a sort of shimmer and he can throw them or use them without them dissipating while his focus is on it.
Tornado: Corik can create a swirling torrent of air that sucks in everything around it, this is normally a slow build up but if he uses it for more than a few hours it has been known to be able to rip buildings right from their foundation. His preferred method of using this is to summon it up around him, pulling his opponents into the swirling mess that bring them into range of his other techniques or if needed he can sharpen the wind inside so that the tornado itself will rip apart his enemies.
Aero: the most basic of techniques that allows him to gather and condense the wind around his body, this can be used to do a number of different things. The first is that it can form a sort of armor around him that will stop most physical blows, second it can be focused on propelling his body so that it makes him faster. The last two techniques are the more advanced forms, the first one creates a swirling ball of wind around the caster, this ball stops all incoming attacks and can rip apart many enemies, finally this skills’ most advanced form allow him to shift his body into the very air itself. This allows him a vast increase in mobility and immunity to most attacks. While in this form he can be destroyed by such things as fire though.
Air manipulation: This skill is also usable in a variety of methods. The main principle is the manipulation of the air away from the caster.
Offense: allows the focusing and attacking with air blasts and blades, this can be turned into whirling scythes, spikes or blades of air that can cut through most objects.
Defends: Corik can “harden” or rather focus the air in an area together so densely that it creates a sort of wall, this is used mainly to stop or contain things.
Utility: Corik can manipulate the lesser winds to keep himself nice and comfy with a breeze always swirling around him, it’s his own personal fan! Also he can create a swirling sphere around someone, this makes it so that every motion they make spins the sphere around which can be highly nauseating.
Winds torrent: This technique gathers the air into a swirling gale which can be project our or in an arch, this allows it to slam into and often times through a target. This technique requires room to do effectively. Unlike most spells this one gains strength the farther away the target is but acts on a bell curve with it increasing greatly and then tempering off after too far.
Wind strike: Corik is able to gather the power of air around his fists, this allows him to either strike multiple times in rapid succession or for him to gather it together and strike one powerful blow that is able to break through most walls.

Weaknesses: Corik has two primary problems when fighting, the first is room. Most of his techniques require space in order to be effective, secondly is that his magic has a severe weakness to fire.

Personality: Corik is a paradox of two extremes in personality, on one hand he is a cold and reserved person. He rarely likes to share anything about himself and keeps his cards close to the chest, preferring not to reveal anything if he can help it. Yet he is also one of the warmest and most talkative persons around at times. He is the type of person who you can open up to about anything and he’ll be glad to listen and might even give a few words of good advice. With a light hearted tone and a loving demeanor it isn’t till most people walk away from him that they begin to realize that they spilled their entire life story and sometimes aren’t even sure what his name was.
Corik is a believer in faith, while he doesn’t talk about it often or try and push a god on any one person he believes that each person must or should have faith in order for their life to be complete. A faith in themselves and in the ones around them at the very least. He takes his faith very seriously, it often helps him cope with problems and troubles in his life that would otherwise have swept him aside.
The most startling thing about Corik is his search for redemption; he is constantly seeking to make up for his past actions and as such wishes to help those around him in whatever way that he can. This also means that he refuses to fail though, he can’t bear the thought of letting down those that he cares about since he would see it as a failure by him to turn his life around, turning away from a dark path and towards the light.

History: Across the sea, among one of the many kingdoms lies Coriks’ homeland, a place that was strife with civil war on his birth. Corik was pulled into and became a child solider at the age of 10, when he was found to be able to use magic he was sent off to work for one of the chief mages of his homeland, it was during this service that he came into his abilities. It was also during this time period that lasted about seven years that he committed a number of terrible acts under orders, these acts range from fighting on the battlefield to assaulting castles. One day he was given the task to destroy a village that rebels had been using, or so he was told, when he arrived he carried out his task. He along with a group of other air mages destroyed the village and left no one alive, it was when he went down into it that he realized that he had just killed a village full of women and children. Corik thought it was a mistake, that his leaders couldn’t possible have known, he protested and told people but was quickly ordered to be silent, the first order that he chose to refuse. Corik was almost killed by his very own teacher but managed to flee across the sea to Fiore. Corik joined Fairy Tale in the hopes of finding a home and in hopes of finding a way to use his magic for good, to redeem himself for all the lives that he had taken.
