Skin- He's not quite pale, nor is he quite tan. He's somewhere in the middle and it fluctuates.
General- Charlie is a small guy. He's tall, but it's mostly because he's so skinny. He also has a very distracting birthmark on the left side of his face that is a large brown/purple smudge on half his face. No one would ever describe Charlie as handsome, mostly when they see him people just feel sorry for his unluckiness.
Personality
Charlie is a funny and, often, even charming. He's quick to a joke and always tries to lighten the mood of any situation. However he does have a very large capability for being awkward. Occasionally he'll make a reference that no one will get, or laugh at something that no one else thought was funny, and he doesn't know how to handle these scenarios. He also doesn't know how to handle confrontation. Often when things get too loud or violence is threatened, he'll stand up and just leave the room. If someone pushes him too hard he'll go into his shell, and will start mumbling and not answering any questions with a straightforward answer. Because of this people think he is autistic, but really he just doesn't like being in a situation he isn't in control of, and he isn't normally in control of physical scenarios.
History
Charlie grew up on the rough side of Las Vegas. Having to attend public school, despite his astounding intellect from a small age, he was constantly pick on and harassed. Bigger kids, which were most kids in general, would beat him up, take his toys, often even seriously injure him. So at home he escaped this world in the only way he knew how. Comic books and video games. He never stopped playing with them or reading them. He didn't do his homework at home, he went to school early to do it, he ate with a comic book in his hand, and he even got a job as a video game tester for a minor game production company. That is until he got another mom. When his dad remarried (his mom died of cancer when he was 5) he married a seemingly nice woman. But she wasn't. Whenever they were the only two that were alone, which often was the case because Charlie's dad worked for twelve hours every day, she would belittle him. Say horrible things to him, telling him that he was the reason his mother had died, and that his father despised him. His father never listened to him when he told him, blaming Charlie's very active imagination. This went on until he was 16. Then one day, while she was talking about how his mother was likely a whore and that's why his dad had remarried so soon, he hit her. He slapped her across the face so hard she spun to the wall and hit her head on it. After that she never talked to Charlie again, and Charlie hasn't done a violent thing to a living sole. He hasn't seen his dad since he was 17 and he left for college. It'll likely remain that way.
