personality Renee is a dreamer, possibly the result of reading so much fantasy and an adventurer, always the first to propose a trip or to take a jog through the forest trails near her house. While she is a very compassionate person, always willing to help others before helping herself (after being an orphan for more than half of her life, Renee has learned to be thankful of those who helped her and believes that everyone deserves to be helped), she can is also very stubborn, meaning that it is very unlikely to change her mind once it is made. And one thing she will never stop believing is that everyone is inherently good even though a lot of people have shown her otherwise. Renee is very outspoken about her beliefs and this can get her into trouble at times, but she doesn't care. She has learned not to let anyone shut her up and will do anything to be heard. Finally, Renee is rather secretive. She has still to tell her adopted family a lot of what she has lived through.
background Of course, Renee doesn't remember anything about her life before being banished. She was an orphan in France until she was ten (she thinks she's been an orphan her whole life due being brainwashed and forgetting all memories from her old life, but she has been on Earth since six), switching between homes, always dreaming of finding a place where she could truly and fully belong. Throughout these inconstant and difficult years of her life, Renee spent her days in the comfort of the only two stable things in her life: her ever-present rose pendant and the escape books provided her with. Life wasn't always easy for her and she had a few encounters with mean-spirited or indifferent foster care parents, although most did care for her to some extent. Renee was finally adopted by two American parents and was given the life she had always dreamed of. Beyond the luxury, Renee was in the hands of two loving parents that gave her the resources needed in order to enter school and, with the help of her thirst for knowledge, become the best student in her grade. Renee spends a large chunk of her time volunteering for the homeless, working in the public library, or writing. She never stopped reading books but now, they are not an escape from her life, but a place she could visit to dream.
