Evangeline is tall and lean; she could be called petite if it weren’t for her height. Long, naturally straight locks of gold fall to mid-thigh, hair that Eva only pulls back in the field. Complementing her sharp facial features are dark brown eyes that seem to be stuck in an eternal serious expression. Her skin, marked only by a few training scars, is an average healthy white hue. Eva prefers to wear skin-tight clothing, the blouses of which rarely having sleeves (though she adds sleeves when it’s appropriate). She’s taken to wearing earrings mostly because a special someone preferred it when she did.

Personality

Personality: The past three years have taught Evangeline the value of relationships, and the value of keeping those relationships in balance. Her trust in her teammates has been what kept her from spiraling into negativity over the past few years. She clings tight to her good relationships, and, while remaining aloof, makes her relationships with the recruits more pleasant. Unfortunately, a brief relationship with Wolf has made Eva reluctant to get terribly close to anyone of the male persuasion. She’s not unwilling to mend this, but she believes she does not need the distraction so long as she is a SeeD.

Evangeline is also a woman of responsibility. She takes her responsibilities very seriously, even more now than three years ago. She feels like she failed her team back then, so she doesn’t want to do so now. This can make her seem strict when it comes to the new recruits, but she is just trying to keep her people alive.

Essentially, she’s become a true big sister personality. She is calm and collected, and does her best to protect her own, and she protects them with her life.

Equipment

Evangeline takes pride in her choice of weapon, and sticks to it when she has a choice. However, she does well with any sort of polearm, and has adapted the movements used in polearm combat to a create a form of hand-to-hand combat for defensive purposes.

History

History: Evangeline has lived with her grandparents for most of her life due to the disappearance of her parents. Neither her, nor her grandparents, know what happened to her parents; their whereabouts are unknown. Her grandfather was an instructor at Balamb Garden, thusly young Evangeline spent much of her young life at the Garden. The friends she’d made not only in the student body, but among the Garden staff inspired her to enroll. She passed her SeeD exam with flying colors and became a well-balanced SeeD within the next year. Her life was relatively uneventful.

For the next exam, a select group of young potential SeeDs (Elia Barron, Alex Raines, Zeke Watanabe, Phileo Arentus, and Kryse Salamance) were to be tested in a hostage situation in the Deling Hotel, and Evangeline was selected as the test supervisor. The cadets passed with flying colors. When the group became a full-fledged SeeD team, Evangeline, and another experienced SeeD (Andrew ‘Wolf’ Khevan) were added. As they went on their first real mission in Esthar, Eva’s experience and maturity put her into position of team leader, a position she was not sure she deserved. Her strategy in Esthar fell apart when the viewing platform collapsed with her and Elia on it. Though the team did manage to complete the mission, she felt guilty for the failure of her plan.

The mission at Deling Hotel set off a chain reaction; they’d officially made themselves a thorn in SCORPIA’s side. They were ‘hired’ for a mission at the DSRC that ended in ambush and capture. The team’s imprisonment on the Island Closest to Hell was brief, for Elia managed to break most of the team out, but at the cost of two of their team members. Since then, the living members of the team have been marked as dangerous, and to be killed on sight.

Ever since, Evangeline has tried to stick with what was left the team, though it has dwindled down to her, Elia, and Alex. Not only does she feel protective over her teammates, she feels responsible for looking after the new recruits. Eva serves as a trainer and supervisor to the new recruits when she is not on recon missions with other remnant SeeD operatives.
