"Of course, of course," Lucas replied. "At least now, if anyone does open the Chamber, we'll have a chance after all."

Alex hangs up. A few seconds later, Lucas gets a text on his personal phone - an image of the pistol Judah gave to Lucas yesterday, with the words "You know what to do" written under it. The number is unknown, but it doesn't take much imagination to figure out who sent it...

Lucas peeked at his phone in a way nobody else would notice. "...!" He quickly shut his phone and pocketed it. He's really serious about this...
Camilia seemed quick to notice Lucas's alarmed expression...
"In any case, I had better return to patrols," Parasoul told Lucas. "Good luck."
"Hu...? O-Oh! Yeah, of course," Lucas replied as Parasoul left.

Meanwhile, on a nearby roof, the same assailant that attacked Zenmei and Red was waiting.
"Yes, they've located all the shards," he said on the comm.
Camilia seemed quick to notice Lucas's alarmed expression...
"In any case, I had better return to patrols," Parasoul told Lucas. "Good luck."
"Hu...? O-Oh! Yeah, of course," Lucas replied as Parasoul left.

Meanwhile, on a nearby roof, the same assailant that attacked Zenmei and Red was waiting.
"Yes, they've located all the shards," he said on the comm.
A few hours later, Alex, Terrus, Duma, Andy, Kaia, and Ripsaw arrive in Sanctuary, heading for Lucas' Templar base. When they arrive, Alex knocks on the door.
"Knock knock!" said Alex. "Special delivery!"

Lucas opened the base door, noticing Alex. "A-Ah! Hi, Alex."
"All's well on the southern front?" Andy asked, supporting Kaia up with an arm around his shoulder. "Hi, dragons~"
"Uh...hi to you, too," Damian replied, waving back lightly.
"So, uh...come on in. Never know who's listening..." Lucas said, inviting the others into the base room.

Andy and Kaia also enter. With them all in the base, the mystery soldier takes this chance to infiltrate. Activating an optic camouflage, he becomes completely invisible as he leaps across onto the top of the base...

"Y...Yeah, it...it will, won't it," Lucas replied. He's still not willing to pull a gun on Alex.
Kaia sets the shard she received from Daniel onto the table with the other shards. "So...I guess we just have to anticipate if anyone else is trying to breach the barrier?"

"Lately, there was a report of the fugitive Zeta confronting Yokai prince Kokonotsu, only leaving after stealing force from his strongest Ice chakra."

"Yes, and even more recently, he's brought Princess Twilight Sparkle under his thrall," Damian added. "I don't want to think of this as coincidence, but..."

"Hm, but he can't reach the latter two without getting rid of the acid and electric barriers first..." Kaia noted.

"Hey wait," Lucas said, viewing the satellite's view of the Templar base area. "When did we get enveloped in a radar-jamming radius?"
"(?) That doesn't - (!) Wait a s - !" Before Camilia could continue, several tranq-shots flew out from an unknown source, striking Camilia, Kaia, Duma, and Alex in their skins (likely in the necks). "!!!" Succumbed to the sedative, Camilia and Kaia fell to the ground unconscious.

Just then, an array of grappling wires shot out at the unconscious Alex, snatching his on-hand shards and his Bane sword! Then, a retractable net was shot out to the holding table, swiping the shards on there! They all retracted to the source - the mystery soldier, unmasking his camouflage.
"Thank you for your assistance," he said apathetically.
"(!) Hey!" Damian growled. "Who do you think you are?!" Angered, Damian lunged at the soldier, attempting to strike with his claws. However, he jumped above them and struck down, slapping some kind of chip onto the side of Damian's neck. "(?) What - " Just then, Damian became overcome with a painful surge, crippling his whole body. The soldier merely hopped off.
"(!) Damian!!" Lucas cried out.
"Wha...What is th...?!" Damian struggled to say. "This...This feels...like...!"
"We know your weakness," the soldier said. "I'm prepared to handle any of your ilk, no matter what form they possess."
"Then counter THIS!" Lucas yelled in anger, pulling out the pistol and firing at the soldier. However, the soldier quickly drew out a solid-light blade, rapidly shearing the incoming shots to dust. "(!) Wh...Wha - ?" Before Lucas could react, the soldier zipped in and sliced the gun to pieces.
"You should have used that on the terrorist when you had the chance," the soldier said, hurling Lucas overhead into a wall.
"You better watch it, punk!" Andy said, glaring at the soldier. "What's your deal, sniping us and snatching his blades?!" He tried to stun the soldier with a direct Gaze of Guilt into his eyes...but after a while, it seemed to have no effect. "...Wait, what?"
The soldier responded by kicking the stupefied Andy upside the head, knocking him to the ground. "What we do is none of your concern...at the moment."
"Thank you for your assistance," he said apathetically.
"(!) Hey!" Damian growled. "Who do you think you are?!" Angered, Damian lunged at the soldier, attempting to strike with his claws. "You should have used that on the terrorist when you had the chance," the soldier said, hurling Lucas overhead into a wall.
"You better watch it, punk!" Andy said, glaring at the soldier. "What's your deal, sniping us and snatching his blades?!" He tried to stun the soldier with a direct Gaze of Guilt into his eyes...but after a while, it seemed to have no effect. "...Wait, what?"
The soldier responded by kicking the stupefied Andy upside the head, knocking him to the ground. "What we do is none of your concern...at the moment."
The shots briefly flash red, but thanks to being destroyed, the flashing soon stops. Terrus transforms into a minotaur and charges at the soldier.
The soldier just activates his blade's Photon Shredder mode, turning it into a revving chainsaw. With this, he slices through the incoming saw blades AND minotaur-Terrus's horns with ease. This is quickly followed by a knee-kick into the side of Terrus's head.
Terrus is taken aback and slams into a wall, the momentum he would have used to slam into the soldier being more than adequate to knock himself out.
Following this, the soldier brought out a shuriken of some kind from the pack on his back. He then threw it into Ripsaw's exposed area, the throwing-star sapping his energy.
"We were developing this after the Halvanr incident," the soldier explained.

Ripsaw is struck successfully and falls to the floor, roaring in agony as his energy dissipates, before being forced into sleep mode.
"Be fortunate I'm only here for his talents." With that, the soldier jammed a syringe into Alex's arm, automatically filling with some of his blood. The soldier then swiped the filled syringe.
"You..." Lucas said weakly, trying to stand (to no success). "Who are you with...?"
"...I have no reason to reveal that information to you," the soldier replied.
"You're already...under charges of...of assault upon a base...! Now answer me...!!"
"..." The soldier answered that with a rushing kick to Lucas's abdomen, crippling him in pain. "Our organization surpasses all others in this city. Our reasons need no explanation." With that, the soldier activated his optic camo, vanishing from sight as he fled the base the same way he came in.
"You..." Lucas said weakly, trying to stand (to no success). "Who are you with...?"
"...I have no reason to reveal that information to you," the soldier replied.

Judah and several guards, armed with shotguns, suddenly burst into the Templar base, ready for action... Only to find that whatever caused the trackers on the tranquilizer gun to be destroyed has already vanished.
"Search this place," said Judah. "Whoever did this may still be around here."
The soldiers search the Templar base, but find nothing.
"All clear, sir," said a guard.
"Damn," said Judah. "We're too late."
Judah sighed.
"Still," said Judah. "At least this wasn't a total loss. Men, take the Koopa, the dinosaur, and the minotaur..."
Terrus, finally slipping fully into unconsciousness, reverts to normal.
"... And what used to be the minotaur," said Judah. "Over to Sanctuary Prison. It's high time we enforced the law."
The guards salute, pick up Alex, Duma, and Terrus, and carry them away.
"Search this place," said Judah. "Whoever did this may still be around here."
The soldiers search the Templar base, but find nothing.

Judah sighed.

One of Judah's men reentered, approaching a recovering Andy. "Andrew Canis? Come. We've some questions for you."
"Me? Don't you... (urk!) Don't you have Alex for asking...?" Andy replied as he stood up.
"You were the one that initiated his recent quest, so we need your side of the story as well."
"Well, er... {sigh} Fine, let's get this over with..." With that, Andy followed the guard outside. Even though this guard was clad in a SWAT helmet, Lucas could notice a strange red sheen in his eyes.
Outside, Andy was heard saying "(?) Hey, who's thi - AUGH!!"
"Thank you, officer," a partially-mechanized voice outside said. "I'll take it from here."
"Me? Don't you... (urk!) Don't you have Alex for asking...?" Andy replied as he stood up.
"You were the one that initiated his recent quest, so we need your side of the story as well."
