Darren sat at the piano in the parlor still sad about his death even though it was so long ago. He thought of Angelique, his personal angel. He took the box off the top of the chest and opened it revealing a shiny ring. It was well preserved considering he had died with the thing but he didn't care to him it would always be priceless.

He looked down and sighed putting it back as he locked the box and put it back away hidden. He went to the piano and started to play Home and sung along as he played knowing the lyrics by heart. He memorized these for Angelique when he was still alive when he went to Europe for a few weeks. He played this to her when he got back showing his love for her.

He shouted "Let me go home." instead of the soft voice that was meant to be sung. He was mad at someone but wasn't sure. Maybe it was Mei for her always thought his death had to do with her, or maybe it was God for taking his life away from him before he could even get a chance to live.

He stopped and cried his wails making some objects swirl around and the candles he was burning to go out. He made this apparent and it would be obvious to anyone ghost or not to know of him as long as they were in the house. He didn't mean to do this it's just what came out.

Mei giggled silently, the sound echoing in the empty hall that was filled with shattered glass from the picture frames along the walls. Most had be broken from either Darren or her singing, but other then that about ten years time had done its work. She turned around behind her and nodded satisfied with the footprints left behind on the carpet. Of course Mei was the only one with the ability to solidify herself to do this kind of fun. With her usual morning routine done, Mei dashed along the corridor at a speed the blasted the weeks dust off most of the furniture, a habit she did ever week. She knew guests may arrive or maybe a few humans as entertainment for most of them.

A broken glass case in a room was her next stop. Two items lay preserved in there. A necklace with a red gem that sparkled dimly and keys to a car. Both remenants of Mei's sixteenth birthday. "Worthless items really..." She mumbled and walked out the room, continuing her "dusting".

Darren's wails broke the eerie silence and Mei paused. "Time for the usual pep talk I suppose." With that she walked slowly to the parlor, her footsteps echoing in the house. Alll ghosts must have a time to wake up and either she or Darren seemed to be Andrew's alarm clock. "Why couldn't there be a ghost butler?" She said contemptiously as she rounded the corner and down some steps. It was dark, but the slivers of sunlight provided the lighting. She saw the teapots and cups she had left over the years had begun to spin around on the dozen or so tables she had moved into the parlor quite a few years back. One set spn off th edge of the table and fell to the cracked tile floor with an almighty crash. Mei shook her head gently and walked up to the tortured ghost. "Darren...." She pressed a high C note on the old piano to get his attention. "Is there something wrong?"

Andrew woke up at the sound of Darren’s wail; it was something he had accustomed himself to over the years. Mei would probably be trying to comfort him this very moment. He stood up, as much as one can when they don’t have legs, and started to hover around the room. “It’s so bright outside” he mumbled and yawned before letting his body seep through the old wooden planks.

The feeling of passing through objects was definitely strange. As if something was touching your whole body.
At the beginning he couldn’t really get used to it, but now it was as natural as flying.

He ended up downstairs in the living-room, just outside of the parlor.
“What happened? And good morning by the way” he said and smiled while looking at the two ghosts.
He looked around the room and saw the shattered porcelain. “Wow, you didn’t fight did you?”
Andrew gently hovered over to the piano.
Losing a loved one was never easy, even when you have already died.

"Droyt Manor..." Angelique murmered as she read a paper with information for some clients. A pothole in the road caused her to fly off the seat of the taxi a little. The papers scattered on the floor and Angel bent over to pick them up. "Droyt Manor, one of the largest mansions in all of Maine. Its been around for quite awhile and part of it has been burned down. Those who venture near it have many supernatural experiences...wails, sobs, footprints, objects flying, spectres, and so on." She read on after picking up the papers and handing them to her "partner". She had shared the cab with the person only because both of them were going to Droyt manor for the same reason she hoped. But then again it wouldn't be for the same reason and she had to be wary.

"Oh and Miss. This may be none of my buisness, but another famous phenomenon at that mansion is that many people see a pale girl with long black hair greet them or see her skippping throught the halls. They talk to her and even say you can touch her. Though that girl always disappears and many say she's cold as ice. Literally. Also piano and violin can also be heard throught the day from the mansion. Well good day!" Angelique nodded her thanks and she let the door of the taxi slam shut. Heartache and sadness tugged at her mind. Piano had been Darren's talent and he had died recently. Painful memories rushed back to the girl as she walked through the town, which was the only place the taxi driver would stop. The town was only a thirty-minute walk from the mansion after all.

"Darren....Is there something wrong?" Darren looked up to see Mei the hostess. She was somewhat kind to him and he mainly guessed that because he kept them awake and he would break things. "N No, I'm just a little emotional..." he said trying to calm himself as he stood up and noticed that Andrew was over the piano. “What happened? And good morning by the way. Wow, you didn't fight did you?” Darren rolled his eyes. "No, I don't fight" he said his voice almost stern in his voice.

He looked at them both and realized that other than them he was alone in the world now. He sighed and grabbed the doorknob and opened it up leading to the basement. "I'll be down here if anyone needs me." he said then sighed shutting the door. He walked through and turned on the small light above then nearly collapsed as he became transparent again. He didn't understand how it worked that they couldn't go through walls but they would go through objects. He guessed it had to do with mass but he didn't care. He sat in the corner and sighed laying on the floor alone trying to calm his thoughts a bit.

Freddie had to get a lift from his father, who dropped him off a few miles away, nagging him about being more independent. Freddie had then caught the bus, oh how much he despised public buses. They always smelt a little strange and he always felt the way in which people watched him with disapproving eyes. In his hand was an object that resembled a large briefcase, only it wasn't for business documents and it was hardly ordinary to see somebody his age with a briefcase for business. His father had even said goodbye in a worried tone, reminding him to call him if there was any trouble. It was as if his father was sure that this was the last time that they'd see each other. If he knows something bad would happen, why would he send me? Freddie thought, pondering as the bus came to a halt to drop off an old couple. Behind him, two teenagers were grinning and making jokes about everyone on the bus. It was like the journey he used to take to school before he asked his dad to drive him in.

The bus dropped him off at the side of the road somewhere, Freddie clutched the case that held all of his equipment. "Dad will be so proud once I come back with the ghosts," he smiled to himself, feeling his excitement get the better of him. Freddie began to walk down the road, dreaming about what would happen when he returned victorious.

Soon enough, Freddie found himself staring blankly at Droyt Manor, amazed by what he was looking at.

Angelique had walked throught the town. The people walked by her without a glance. "I'm just an ordinary looking person after all." She murmered as she walked into the town's library. The place was rather dingy and musty, but it had books upon books as far as the eye could see. She ignored the librarian and headed to the back of the library where the records were stored. Its was best to find info from this town then off the internet after. She pulled out the most recent recorded dated about 25 years ago. "Mei Droyt, the daughter of the family who previously lived there was supposedly killed by a fall off the balcony. The house later caught fire that day burning down a section of the manor and killing ****** Droyt...?" The last part was blacked out and confused Angelique. She sighed and went back to the records. It seemed there were numerous possibilities for ghosts, but the taxi driver's words on a girl being seen lead her to finding a picture of Mei. The photo had been taken of Mei in highschool. The piercing glare and ghostly looks sent a chill down her spine. She shut the computer off and grabbed the records she found, it was all she would need before heading to the mansion.

An expresso and donut later, Angel trudged up the unforgiving slope to the mansion. The path was twisted and curvy, but at the top a rolling grassland of green grash greeted her. The mansion set in the sea of the grasses. She laughed almost at the sight, it was the typical giant, creepy, horror-movie-like mansion. "This job might be a fake..." Approahing the building she noticed another figure. A boy with a briefcase, that was normal. Either way Angel approached him, hoping to find out if he was a ghost or not. "Excuse me..?"

Mei stared as Darren went down to the basement, shrugging. "Andrew you know I don't fight." She puffed her cheeks in a pout and flipped her hair as she turned to leave. She stared at the piano once more before leaving and sighed. "I forget how much I try to avoid anything of my past life." She said to no one in particular and sat down on the seat. Beofore playing she snapped her fingers and another teapot and cups apeared. The aroma of jasmine and roses filled the room and Mei relaxed. "Well if you want to stick around Andrew you may, but I think cheering Darren up is the best thing to do right now." With that she began to play. Her thoughts turning into her calming melody.

A slight disturbance brought the Mei's music to a stop. "Hmm...." She floated over to a window and wiped away the grime. As she stared out onto the grounds she noticed two figures, humans and a bit strange, but she didn't care. "Looks like there is fun for today~" She chuckled and spun around.

Andrew sighted and scratched his neck, looking rather compunctious.
"Andrew you know I don't fight." Mei said before pouting; only adding to the guilt.
“I’m sorry; I was only trying to lighten up the mood a bit. Y’know, trying to be a little sarcastic...total failure. Quite stupid right?”
He tapped his fingers against the smooth surface of the piano, as to Mei’s playing, trying to figure out the best way to apologize to Darren.
He knew he could be such a dunce sometimes; opening his mouth trying to say something funny, before thinking things through.

"Looks like there is fun for today~" When Mei said this, he looked surprised at her. Humans?
It felt like it had been ages since the last brave human dared to visit Droyt Manor.
This was going to be fun.

He flew downstairs, to let Darren know that someone might be coming, but came to a halt at the bottom of the stairs.
Darren was probably still angry at him.
“Darren...I’m really sorry about before. It was a silly attempt at being funny, i didn’t meant to hurt your feelings...I’m sorry”
He sighted and floated over to him.
“Really...I’m sorry”

“Oh and there’s some humans outside, they might come inside” he said trying to cheer Darren up a bit.
“Do you wanna’ come upstairs?” He asked and tried to crack a smile.
