Rixator Falmona's Story

Mitei noticed the dark sand coming onto the airship and was particularly confused (she wasn't paying attention to Rixator), for one, why is there sand coming onto the ship. And second, how the hell is it defying gravity, she then realized during the fight with the griffin that Gen had sent to attack her, Rixator controlled sand, Dark Sand at this point she knew, Rixator had found the reporter, she bowed, "Excuse me for a minute" she said as she walked off and as soon as she was out of sight of the others, was running, she followed the sand going to Rixator. Soon, she found him and the reporter, "Hey!" she yelled as her hand started to show a heavy static charge of what she is seeing, "What the hell do you think you are doing?!" she yelled as she proceeded forward with caution. Meanwhile Reiko nodded to the Goddess, "that does seem faster since we have two people whom sense the gods and goddesses." she said as she thought about it, "But just Mitei and I aren't enough, we'll need another to assist us since our physical abilities are few and far between." she looked back ti see if Mitei is around, yet, she isn't, she was confused by this, what threat did Mitei sense that Reiko can't?

Myria smiled at the group. She bowed and spoke assertively "I thank you." She turned to her pilot but suddenly realized that she hasn't asked for permission yet. She turned back to the group " mind if we dock? You're ship is large enough to hold my two carriers and battleship, as for living space the carriers have rooms for my soldiers but do you mind If the battleship crew living on ship? The air gets crummy and there isn't much to do without exhaustin fuel." She smiled while waiting for a reply.

"uh? I... umm..." Bella was getting disoriented. She was not good in making decisions which made her turned to Gabe

Gabe smiled at Bella and placed a hand on her back "I'll handle this, princess" He said to her before turning to Myria.

"I think that shouldn't be a problem. We have lots of available free space in the airship because currently, there are only six of us here living" He paused for a second to catch his breath and continued "but talking about fuel, we need to depart to Great Tree City, Clearwood's metropolis, to recharge our airship's energy stone. We have been hovering here for more than a day now. We shall be depart as soon as your airships are docked"

Reiko and Hikari was still having a discussion about separating them from the group for their own search. Hikari looked around at the people on the airship to see whether there were some volunteers but was shocked to see dark sands squeezing a horned girl. The reporter screamed in pain, her bones breaking. Everyone could hear the scream and suddenly, she exploded to thin air, leaving only her clothing. Rixator was nearby and Mitei was moving closer to him, muttering somethings.

Bella moved backwards in fear while watching Rixator's dark sands. She almost fell before Gabe caught her from the back. "I've got you, princess"

It angered Hikari speechless to see an attempt of murder happening where she was. In a blink of an eye, Hikari created a prison of light pillars around Rixator which radiated binding energy which would stop him from moving or doing anything other than speak.

"give me a reason not to end you, right now..." Hikari said, clenching her teeth as she walks towards Rixator with her fist gripped tight

Undine looked away and payed no attention. She knew how killing an innocents would anger Hikari.

Concealed as a soldier of Lightwake, the real Aya was a little frightened. She did not thought that a person in the princess's group would attempt to end someone's life just for trying to get the current news for the world"

Rixator looked to Hikari, tinges of sickly crimson in his eyes. The once vibrant glow of experience and charisma had been dulled to something akin to insanity and madness. Something had a hold on Rixator, but he never knew it. "I've got plenty of reasons, oh Goddess of Light...But, ponder me this Hikari..." The mercernary tilted his head as best as he could, the dark sand swirling around the prison; the sands seemed like they were trying to desperately reach their master, but the sheer light energy repelled them.

"Do you fear it? Dark energy? The power that acts as the polar point to your light energy? A balance must be kept between light and dark..." The Afukiran cackled a bit, a slight distortion in his voice now. "A balance that can be easily tipped in the eyes of a god or goddess, if, say...A certain clan learned to harness the dark energy natural to their homeland...If such a powerful group were to arise that could throw off the balance, well, they very well would have to be eliminated, wouldn't they?"

Mitei stepped up the static from her hand increasing, Mitei was growing more angered, "Harnessing dark energy has it's vices as well" she said stepping towards Rixator closer, "Take it from someone whom was basically forced to harness it, it slowly corrupts your mind, and soon you'll attempt to kill every living thing." Mitei knew this, she wasn't ready to let another fall to the darkness, "Remember at Amara, we lost an ally because of that" she said as Reiko started to approach Mitei to attempt to stop her, "And lets not forget the Griffin, you let the dark consume you, and all you do..." Mitei paused out of grief, "is destroy..." Mitei looked down and to the side, "I know we need to balance the Light and the Dark, but what are you to do with the destruction..." she questioned under her breath, the static receded for a little until the snapping of bones repeating through her head flared her up again, "So if you want to kill an innocent person. Then expect me to retaliate for them!" she yelled as her Judgement Bolt had finished an overload charge. She prepared for an attack.

Hikari was about to respond to Rixator when Mitei cut her off, surprising almost everyone.

"Calm yourself, Mitei..." Undine said as she placed a hand on the young woman's shoulder, trying to calm her down. The smile on her face has faded.

Hikari was for a moment, silent. She glanced at Mitei before she walked closer to Rixator and spoke "what Mitei said is true, the dark powers may corrupt any creatures and turn them insane... but only if the energy seeps into the body" She paused for another moment and continued "I do not think that it is a crime to manipulate the element of shadow or darkness". Her soft eyes turned to a glare as she continued with an angry tone "but I do care if any creature with an intelligent mind uses any element to take a life as he or she wishes without a trial"

Hikari walked to the left behind cloths on the ground and picked it up.

"It's fortunate that the person that you crushed with your sands is a clone" She said as she threw the cloths at Rixator through the prison of light. "If it were a real person, I would have struck you where you stand" She paused and continued "as for the powerful group you mentioned was trying to throw of balance. If you didn't notice, my young Afukiraian, there are currently plenty of those in all of Daughtris. I do not wish to exterminate them. I only wish to stop them and only turn to taking their lives when forced to"

Hikari turned around and faced everyone that was currently on the airship.

"This is why we shall need everyone's help! This is why we shall need to find Shiva, Ifrit, Sylph, Ramuh, Titan and Kuro to aid us to maintain peace in Daughtris!" She said in a loud voice to everyone.

"Heheh...Heheheheh...Hahahahah!!' Rixator laughed, giving a twisted grin to the goddess. "Enough beating around the bush, let me blunt with you." He cackled and grinned, the words in his head near all he can hear in his mind. "A certain clan by the name of Falmona was wiped out years ago...They harnessed dark energy and became one with it through their homeland of Senka...They were powerful and proud, standing for good...But something got to them...Some sort of spirit of evil had spread throughout the clan and they soon became tainted. They had struck down many innocent factions before locking themselves away, but, alas, some catastrophic event occured that left their cities in near completely intact ruins, but there were no signs of life..."

Rixator paused to catch his breath. "Wiped out entirely after being forsaken by the god of sand that so diligently watched over them...I know of only one power that could wipe an entire group of people of the face of the world..." The mercernary looked Hikari right in the eyes. "The power of a god...Or, a goddess...I've done my research and I dived into the mystery further than anyone else would...I went off of history books, witness accounts, legend...But, when I went there myself, the energies of not one...But two gods...Still held a residual effect...I already know the God of Sand played a small role...But, the evidence of a certain energy and the fact of all the information I had gathered all pointed to one culprit...One being...And that being..." Rixtor narrowed his eyes, frowning as he furrowed his brow.

"...Is you, Hikari."

A switch was flicked inside of Gabe by Mitei's comment.

"Wow with the way you are behaving now. I think you are too" Gabe responded to Mitei, ignoring Reiko's request.

"Gabe no~!" Bella grabbed Gabe's arm, trying to stop him from lashing out

Meanwhile, Hikari's eyes widened at what Rixator said. Even Undine turned her head towards Hikari in shock. Slowly, the goddess of Light raised one of her hand up and whipped it down to the ground. A white flash of light shined from it, destroying all the darkness in Rixator's sand, stopping it from moving around. It irritates Hikari a lot.

"I don't know whether you are telling the truth or not but if your words are true, it certainly needs investigating. I have not seen Titan in a long time nor have I placed a foot in the place you mentioned" Hikari explained. She paused for a while to think and spoke once more "Perhaps when we find Titan, light will shine on the matter..."

"Hikari" Undine called, catching Hikari's attention. "It seems that this Afukiraian is different since the last time I saw him" Undine explained as she walks beside Hikari. "does he always acts like this?" She asked, hoping for someone to answer

Gabe turned his attention away from Mitei and towards Undine. "No goddess..." Gabe answered "I don't know him well but he seemed like a well enough person in the two days we were together. I've never heard him laughed like that"

Undine took a closer look at Rixator "his eyes was emerald right? Why is it currently crimson?" Undine muttered out a question. "I'm sorry but I must try and cleanse you" Undine said to Rixator before waving her left hand. A large mass of clear water appeared hovering on top of the Afukiraian before it fell through the prison of light, which would splash onto Rixator, cleansing him with Undine's cleansing water.

Rixator turned at the bickering between Gabe and Mitei, speaking out. "Listen up, and listen well kiddos. Mitei knows what she's talking about. Like me, this woman's seen the real world. People die everyday. People kill everyday. The peace you know in the walls of Avory is not out here. Get used to it kid, cause things are gonna be like this!!" At this point, it didn't seem like it was Rixator at all. Something else, something more powerful was at play. However, when Undine mentioned cleansing, the possessed Rixator snapped his attention to the water goddess. Before any protest could be made, the waters fell. Steam rose as his body felt like it was on fire, screams of pain tearing from his throat. Raw, dark energy drifted up with the dust and steam, but something was coming loose from the shadows Rixator held from the prison of light. Eventually, the shock and pain left Rixator unconscious for a brief moment, but anyone watching would see what transpired.

Eventually, a large hunk of shadow broke itself away from Rixator, quickly slithering away and off the ship. It could easily hide while it recovered; a goddess's cleansing ability was greatly powerful. Once the waters finished, Rixator muttered something about being soaked, lifting his head. The emerald of his eyes were restored, along with that charismatic shimmer. The mercernary seem confused, as if coming out of a trance. "Eh...? Wha-....What happened...?"

Myria looked at the group in awe, the entire time she hasn't said a word. She simply nodded to the the approval of her staying aboard the ship and signaled her man to board. Everyone seemed to be bickering, she looked at Rixator, at least that's the name she got from the conversation, he seemed to be maddened. Aside from being completely amazed at the disorder aboard this ship she was speechless. These people boarded the ship for one reason, to restore balance to Daughtris, they were doing anything but that. Rixator seemed to be putting down the goddeses, Mitei was arguing with Gabe, it was a complete mess. The ordeal was finished with Undine cleansing Rixator from whatever evil has befallen him. "Eh...? Wha-....What happened...?" Rixator asked, he seemed to be confused as if the last 10 minutes faded from his brain. Myria looks at her sword and then lifter her head with a jolt. She formed a slight grin on her face and clapped mockingly. "I mean no disrespect but there is no order on this ship, I haven't been aboard for very long but you guys look like your'e falling apart."

“You won’t get away that easily” Hikari muttered and quickly raised her left hand straight up. A blinding flash of light shined before six spirits of Valkyries appeared and chased after the fleeing shadow.

Gabe covered his eyes with his hand while his body was covering Bella from the flash of light. He was getting a headache from all the things that had happened. What Myria said was true and Gabe knew it. The people on the airship had little respect for the goddesses or even him and Bella. Almost no one in the airship would follow orders. There were only six of them on the airship including him and the princess but the others would rather do things their own way. He wondered why Mitei would agree to help if she wouldn’t listen to reason and orders. Problems keep rising. First it was the dark griffin in Amara, then it was Garen being corrupted, then Ringo having multiple personalities, and now Rixator is revealed to have his own demons. Gabe's patients are near to his limit. A vein beside his forehead throbbed. He shook his head and sighed before ignoring everything in the airship before focusing his attention to Myria.

“I’m sorry Myria” Gabe apologized; his face was looking pale “What you said is true”. Gabe massaged his head with one hand, silent for a second before he continued “when we reach Woodacre, the metropolis of Clearwood, I shall discuss some matters with the goddess and princess. Later, I shall attempt to organize our little group” He took a deep breath and spoke “I see that your men has already settled in, the airships are docked… let the airship move”

Gabe turned to his side and looked at Bella. She looked back with a sad expression on her.

Meanwhile, the prison of light that was holding Rixator was dispelled. Hikari was avoiding eye contact with the Afukiraian for some reason but Undine was smiling warmly at him. “You were taken over by some foreign being” She explained. “I am not sure what it was but I think you will be okay” She said while holding Rixator’s hand.

“Reiko, Mitei” Hikari called the twins “shall we continue or discussion?”

Suddenly, the anchor released to the earth below automatically rose in only seconds. The airship then started to move forward towards Woodacre.

Rixator fell onto the floor as the prison of light dissipated, sitting up and looking to Undine as she spoke. What had happened? Hikari seemed bitter toward the Afukiran, but Undine mentioned something that caught Rixator's attention. "You were taken over by some foreign being...I am not sure what it was, but I think you will be okay." The mercernary sat up a bit s he shook his head, nod to disagree, but in realization. "Damnit...I knew I felt something the last time I visited the ruins..."

Rixator turned his gaze to Undine, explaining it to her. "I think I may very well have been possessed by a being that I believe is part of the reason my clan is gone...His name is Mrak, and he can possess a host and spread madenning dark energy like a virus...I imagine you weakened him by cleansing me...At least, I assumed that's why I'm soaking wet..." Rixator slicked back his hair before continuing. "I know that when he latches onto a host, he can manipulate thoughts, actions, even words...And he can take control of a host for a short time...I imagine that is what happened to me..."

The shadow, detecting the following valkyries, hid itself among the darkest corner on the ground near the ship. It planned to hide out the watch, but, even better, would be if one of the valkyries came close enough for it to latch onto and possess it. Having a body to incubate in and regain power with was much easier than seeking a source and waiting by it.

"You are correct! Your ability of assuming things is great!" Undine cheered, putting her palms together, but it didn't last long. Her expression suddenly turned to a frown. "You seem to know a lot about this thing that possessed you" Undine said curious "how were you able to know of this Mrak?" Undine questioned

Four of the spirits of Valkyries were scouting the thoroughly around the outer area of the gigantic airship. Hikari did not saw the shadow descended down to the ground underneath but just to be safe, she sent two of them down to scout. For spirits made out of light, they are able to move fast. Not as fast as the speed of light but fast enough to move around the speeding airship without difficulty.

It would not be an easy job to do for living creatures to scout the outer area of the airship while it is moving, but the spirits of are not living creatures. The Valkyries are just manifested mana in a form of beautiful ancient woman warriors created by the Hikari’s light element. While controlling the Valkyrie spirits, her actions are not effected even slightly, thanks to her thousands years of controlling light element.

When Hikari failed to search for the shadow with the Valkyrie spirit’s eyes, she tried to sense the shadow as it is a creatures of darkness. She can feel the shadow was nearby. It’s only a matter of time until she finds it.

Rixator sighed softly, looking up to the skies. "I learned of the nature and abilities of this being from records left behind in the ruins of my fallen clan...Apparently, it was a dormant evil sealed away in the Senka regions of the desert badlands in Afukira. We believe he's the reason that our...My...Homeland has the dark sands and resonates with natural dark energy. But, I had only a feeling he latched onto me, and I get the idea that he reared back his ugly head and revealed himself...The last visit to the region was about twelve years ago, to pay respects and check out the last of the records." Rixator turned his head to Undine, shifting a bit as he rubbed his wrists, looking to his gauntlets. The circular emblem of his people stood out against the scaled design of it. "I felt of surge of dark energy and afterward, I always heard a small voice in the back of my mind...Urging me to kill and destroy everything around me, but I've always kept it down." The Afukiran slowly stood up, trembling a tad bit as the sands slowly made their way back to him. "I had my suspicions, but I doubted it...Seems I had been wrong to deny the possibility."

The shadow shrunk a bit, slithering and slunking along in the shadows of the area; the way it blended in was like finding a needle in a haystack. The weakened Mrak shifted and hid as a Valkyrie neared. It would possess or absorb it, but it didn't want to take its chances lest they had a connection to their summoner. However, it got a nasty idea as it felt a faint connection to a few beings. Seems a few people were trying to sniff him out via sixth sense. Mrak took advantage of this. Anyone who had dark energy with them would feel it, as well as those who made some sort of detection link; it planned to attack with a reverse sort of tracking. Through the connections and the dark energy that still hung in the air, Mrak lashed out. Through the energy and his own abilities of mental manipulation, he cast out horrible images and memories; bloody war grounds, scenes of massacres, men, women, children, and creatures of all shape, size, and race being struck down in this most horrid and unimaginable ways. Anything making a direct connection, such as a call or a sensory ability, would take the brunt of this, while those who had major contact with dark energy would experience it via the energies in the air.

Myria looked at the group, journeying with this ship could end up interesting but Myria couldn't get something out of her mind. Kage needed her, shes his best general, she would never forgive herself if he got hurt or even worse killed. She grunted inside. What was he up too, stupid brother but she knew better then to argue with a king, brother or not. Still though Myria gave everyone a warm smile. She listened to Rixators story carefully, she herself was familiar with the dark arts but had no knowledge of how to manipulate it. Myria wasn't very trained in magic, she could manipulate simple Ice and Water. She did hope to learn more though. When Rixator finished she was amazed, an evil and dark energy of that power is completely relentless, with the right skill he could kill almost anyone. Myria's eyes glowed at the slight light radiating from Hikari, she liked it. " Rixator, it might not be my place to say it but it wasn't wise to hide that from the others. I know I am just a new comer but if what you say is true the danger was immense to begin with. " she smiled "I mean no disrespect of-course, Ill help you as I can."

Rixator sat silently as he listened back and forth to the conversation between Mitei and Hikari. Mrak had made an accusation through Rixator at Hikari? "Hm...It's...Argh..." Rixator rubbed his forehead, ignoring the images. Seems he was still getting trace thoughts since there was still a faint connection. The Afukiran hastily stood up, trembling a bit. He faintly leaned against Undine for support before he could get his own balance. "This...I need some time to recover...I think that whole cleansing and the loss of that infernal demon took a toll on me..."

The dark sands swirled faintly at his feet as he staggered a bit, but caught his balance. A sigh escaped his throat before he slowly approached Hikari. "If may...I wish to offer an apology...Whatever was said or done, I do not know...But I ask for forgiveness, for I was not myself..."


Meanwhile...


The shadow shifted and slithered away as fast as possible through the shadows of the trees. It planned to head to Pruwas and take a host to revive himself before returning to true form. As a demon, he might fit in fairly well, but, he'd keep the host for a while; Mrak figured better safe than sorry.

The reporter's helicopter that docked itself on the airship was shooed away before they reached Clearwood's metropolis. It was already noon when the airship reached Woodacre. The houses and business was built high up on the trees. Some inhabitants were riding small hovering boats with sails as transportation. From everywhere in the metropolis, a giant beautiful tree that glow a bright cyan colour can be seen. The metropolis was built around it. The giant tree is ancient and functions as a natural power plant to supply energy to everywhere in the metropolis, cities, and towns nearby.

The region of Clearwood’s relationship with Avory is great. In the past, Avory has given Clearwood assistants an uncountable number of times. When the rulers of Clearwood found out about their arrival at the Woodacre, invitation was hastily sent to them through the holo-communicator. The group had no problem gaining entrance to the metropolis.

After a short while of refilling the power of the energy stones of their airships in the nearest power station, Ringo was casted out by Gabe, kicked out of the group just as they docked their airship in the port or the metropolis. He unwillingly left after a short struggle. Afterwards, Gabe and Bella went to the castle of Clearwood, to discuss about their next plan, followed by Myria, Hikari, and even Rixator after he was sure to have no more foreign creatures in him. Undine and the twins were in downtown area of Woodacre, gathering supplies for their important quest.



“Currently, the location of the gods and goddesses are unknown. We don’t know the location of the rest of the gods and goddess” Gabe explained to everyone “do you have any suggestions, Myria? Rixator? Goddess?”

Rixator, fully garbed by now in his ensemble of light armor and dark rags and cloth, had managed a recovery after the Mrak incident. He was back on track with his part in assisting their quest, and still powerful and charismatic as ever. A long while had gone by, and it seemed Gabe's distrust of Ringo got the better of him, as the fellow got the boot from the group. A risky move, but, Ringo knew little of their future plans.

Once they were docked, setled, and at the castle, Rixator heard the inevitable question of what to do and where to go next. The Afukirian pulled a map from under his belt, laying it out over the sort of meeting table they were around. "As far as I can tell..." He looked over the map, pointing an armored finger to the Pruwas region as he tapped the map. "Pruwas, Demotia...And possibly Fishan. From what I've learned, these areas are to be considered enemy territory. They're occupied by the Children of Venash, and I don't want to waltz into one of these places looking for a god or goddess and spring a trap. In my opinion and given our current location..." Rixaotr tapped his finger to the castle's location in Clearwood, sliding the tip of the gauntlet's index finger to Lightwake, over the body of water that separates the two regions. "Our best bet would be to head to Lightwake over the Vyrion Sea. We can get into Lightwake with more ease thanks to our ally," Rixator nodded to Myria. "And search for any god or goddess that may be there. If we do find one there, then excellent, if not, then it comes to the next part of my plans..." Rixator slid his finger from Lightwake to Afukira.

"I did manage a tip on the location of a god. Part of lore I already know, but, I've done some looking into actual records from where foreign archeologists found what we may be looking for." He tapped a rather expansive and featureless portion of the Afukira region of the map. "Word has it that somewhere in the Okean Pesak, the Ocean Sands out of my native tongue, there his a buried temple where Titan, god of sand rests. It actually is supposed to be at the center of a circle of shrines for Titan around Afukira. Archeologists managed to get to the temple, but they could never open the door. Plus, everytime it was uncovered, it became hidden the next day." Rixator sat up a bit, tensing a tad. "With permission of the emperor, we can try and find it. Afukirians, no matter who they are, have never set foot near the area of the temple. It's holy ground, not even I have been there. Plus..." Rixator looked up, flashing a hidden smile. "I know Afukira like the back of my hand. My mercernary work has taken me to almost every corner of that region." The dark warrior stood, nodding once. "After we find Titan and parlay with the chance that a god or goddess is in Lightwake, we can go through Fishan, strafe Pruwas to Brunoma, then Demotia...Then, the heart of our foes." Rixator paused once more. "We have Hikari and Undine on our side. From what I've learned from my research and sources, Titan should be in that temple, Ifrit may be in Brunoma, Ramuh in Demotia..." A sigh escaped his throat, folding his arms. "Kuro's a questionable canidate for our cause, and Sylph...Well, no pun intended, but her location is up in the wind. She could be anywhere."

Myria stayed offly quiet for the rest of the flight, she listened to the stories and spoke to some of her crew, she didn't want to interrupt so she made sure everything on her end was good.

They docked in Clearwood, which was almost like home, except for not being hovering in mid air. Lightwake and Clearwood have long history, at times friendly and at others not so much, at this current state in time Kage had made sure that relations between Clearwood and Lightwake remain on best terms. Next came the question of where to go. Rixator explained that the Sand Titan might be found, and they would need to travel to Lightwake, which would ofcourse be easy. Myria waited her turn. " If I may, " she took the map and pointed to it " I am sure you all are aware of the Ruler of Lightwake, well he plans on invading enemy land, specifically either Fishan or Demotia, he leaves Venash for last. " she smiled "Any-who he carries behind him a large fleet, so as far as our search goes, we should wait until the areas are claimed to go venture into them, we don't want to get stuck in a fight." Myria grabbed her hilt "Are we sure there are no Gods or Goddesses accessible in Clearwood?" Myria looked at the giant tree and pointed to it "My best guess would be either under or on the top of the tree, my mind is a bit shaken but i'm sure there is a nature god or goddess roaming the land.

"Invading enemy lands..." Hikari muttered and turned to Myria "I just hope your king knows what he is doing…”

She took quick deep breath and spoke again “Myria may be right. I can’t feel any presence of other gods other than me and Undine in this metropolis but Sylph is one that could perfectly hide her OR HIS” Hikari emphasized the words “aura from us. Sylph can be a man or a woman… His appearance varies every time I see him… ”

After a few second of silent, she continued “While I’m sure Ifrit is deep in Boltcrusher, Brunoma’s metropolis and mines but where he resides is a place to warm for even us other high spirits can enter. Only Shiva’s powers can cools down the place, which is why we need her to enter”

She turned to Rixator “You’re theory on where Titan maybe is solid, Rixator…For now, you, Gabe, and Bella, should search there once everything ready”

Bella and Gabe looked at Rixator then to each other. The princess looked worried while Gabe have been the most relaxed as he ever did since Ringo left. They both exchanged a smile and nodded in agreement.
