Rain S. Daniels

"Give me time, it will be done."

0 · 1,020 views · located in New York City

a character in “Guiding Heroes”, as played by TaniaSoulEater

Description

Rain Skyler Daniels

Star

Image

Age: 19

Role: Girl 3

Power: Power of Healing - Rain can heal minor ailments with the touch of her hands. Healing uses up her energy; the amount energy used depends on the severity of the wound. She can heal sicknesses and injuries, but not major ailments, such as cancer. She also cannot reverse age or death.

Image

Description: Rain has long brown hair that hangs straight down her back. She has large amber brown eyes that sparkle with emotion. When she's excited, her eyes sparkle so much that they give the impression of almost wanting to crack, rather like glass or crystal. Despite the picture, Rain usually has a gentle smile on her face.

Personality: Rain is quiet and reserved, and wants only to live a peaceful life, and security. She feels a strong internal sense of duty, which gives her a serious air and the motivation to follow through on tasks given. Organized and methodical in her approach, she can generally succeed at any task she undertakes.

Rain is loyal, faithful, and dependable. She places high priority on honesty and integrity, refusing to lie most of the time. Despite the fact that she takes things seriously, she does have a sense of humour and can be a lot of fun when she's not on duty. She believes in laws and traditions, and expects the same from others. She's not comfortable with breaking the rules, however she will do so if she sees a good reason for doing so. Even so, she is good at lying.

Rain is very dependable on following through with things that she has promised. As a result, she has a problem with saying "no", even when she's given more work than is reasonable. Still, she will try her best to do it, no matter the amount. She is naive, and easily taken advantage of. She is practical, and will always take the easier and shorter solution to complete a task.

However, being a perfectionist, she does not pick up on others' feelings and emotions easily. She does not express herself easily either, and has a slight problem with showing emotion. She may not be very strong physically, but she is strong mentally, and believes in her friends.

History: Rain had a normal enough childhood, like most other little children. She spent a lot of time idolising her older brother, whom she loved very much. She would follow him around all the time, helping him and playing with him. However, he mixed with the wrong people and fell into bad hands. Rain was devastated, but she could do nothing about it, not having much experience with dealing with people, other than her brother.

Soon, her brother was in too deep. However Rain tried, she could not pull him back from the people who had stolen him. Rain knew that her brother was doing this for her, but she was still very upset. She cried herself to sleep many nights, worried to death about him. Finally, at the end of her tether, she left him.

When she was 16, she met the Alphas. She has worked with them for 3 years, even up until today.

Skills: Rain is a good strategist, often coming up with plans that help the Alphas.

Weaknesses: Rain used to faint at the sight of blood. Now, she doesn't do so, although she still does get a little queasy when it comes to blood, so she may not always be at her best when healing.

When healing, it drains her energy, sometimes to the point of fainting from exhaustion.

Fears: Rain fears letting down her friends. She is afraid that everything they have worked for together will come crashing down because of her, and tries her best to prevent that.

Other: Rain owns a grey kitten which she named Mist. She loves the kitten very much, and cares for it deeply.
Rain got her super hero name not only from her power, but also from her personality. A star is a guiding light, something that gives hope in the darkest of times. Just like her healing, which brings relief from pain, her personality offers a channel for others to share their feelings, to open up their heart to someone trustworthy.
There is something ironic about Rain's name. Somehow, it ties in with the simile 'as right as rain'. But she's never drawn attention to it.

Theme Song: A Thousand Years - Christina Perri

He saw Rain as she came down the stairs and smiled to himself, he was happy were things were now, real happy. He got up and came behind her, putting his hands on her hips and turning her to face him and picking her up in his hands. He smiled as he looked up at her, "So, my new woman, how about we go shopping, I need to get some presents and there isn't anything more I would love to do than have a day with you." He said as he brought her down enough to where he could give her a kiss. "Can you go tell the people to get us a town car ready, I gotta ask Jasper something." He said as he let her down and with a smile turned to head into the kitchen. "Hey Jas, I'm going to run out with Rain, I have to pick up some things. Tell momma I said hi and I'll visit after christmas, also please get some coffee for me." He said with his head poked into the doorway. "Also, take Arthur and Lauri with you, it'd be nice if you could make some friends ya know." He said teasing her. "Bye Jas, love ya." He said before heading outside and jumping into the town car with Rain in it. "Ready?" He said with a smile as he told the driver to head off.

They had gone to a few places, Ron buying a I-pod for Arthur to help block out the world for in places like cars. A special made pair of gloves for Jasper, a cloth that wouldn't stop her electric current but still warm her hands, and a card he wrote. He had the driver buy a very old and nice bottle of scotch for Lauri, and he already had his gift for Rain. He also gave a list to the driver of things to buy and get to the home before christmas. He walked with Rain down to this small cafe and bought them both some lunch as they sat on the patio. He looked over at Rain, staring a little. "I honestly can't tell you how great today was, you made it pretty nice too." He said as he took a sip of his soda.

"I knew it! You were hiding some from me! Gimme, gimme, gimme!!"

Jasper laughed and scooted the mug just out of Ron's reach. "There's never enough of mom's blend to share. Ever. You'll just have to go buy some yourself." She kept working at the dough and allowed herself a smile as Ron messaged her shoulders, easily working out a knot. "You know where the cafe is, why don't you take Rain there when you two go shopping today?" She suggested, picking up the dough and dropping it into the jellyroll pan before spreading it out to fit the pan. She stopped as soon as she felt Ron's hands leave her back. The atmosphere seemed to turn thick and awkward in a matter of seconds.

He coughed, a tell tale sign to Jasper that something was wrong. She kept her back to him, her hands hovering over the dough as she awaited Ron's explanation of his sudden change of mood. None came.

"Uhmmm.....so you haven't been to momma's in a while right? You should go visit her, get some more blend while your there."

She sighed, but didn't push for answers. Jasper swept a strand of hair out of her face, leaving a smudge of flour on her forehead, and picked up the pan to bake the cake part of the roll. She stuck it into the oven and wiped her hands on her apron. "I'm planning to run over on Christmas." She responded, leaning against the counter and crossing her arms, "I might have Arthur come with me. I sick of her picking fights anymore, it's a lot easier to face her with someone to butter her up first."

She watched as Rain came down and frowned as Ron went over to her quickly, as if she didn't matter anymore. "Well bye, you two." She muttered as they left, then went to working on the filling for the roll. Maybe she would just invite Arthur and Laurie instead.

Rain S. Daniels

Rain couldn't have spent a better day. She had secretly made a list of the presents she wanted to give everyone. It was only a matter of finding the proper ones. Of course, she didn't let Ron see the list or what she'd bought. She wanted every present she gave to be a surprise.

For Derek, she bought a few boxes of Christmas cookies, knowing he would enjoy that. For Arthur, she'd asked an assistant at the music store to help her compile a CD of soothing classical music, knowing that it would help soothe his frequent headaches. Jasper had a similar gift, an MP3 with a playlist Rain had compiled with Jasper's favourite songs. She didn't know anything about liquor, but with a little help from the shop assistant, she'd selected a bottle of whiskey for Lauri.

Ron's present was the hardest to get by far. It hadn't been easy shaking Ron off, but she'd finally escaped his watchful eyes. While he was in the toilet, she'd quickly purchased a watch and managed to slip it into her bag before he returned. Rain tried to be discreet about it, not wanting to show Ron his present before it was time to open it. Luckily, she'd already gotten everything wrapped, including the watch, so Ron hadn't a chance of seeing the presents in her bag.

Later, at lunch, Rain sat at the patio of the quaint cafe they'd gone to, staring blissfully at the scene of others bustling around shopping. She caught Ron staring at her and felt her cheeks and the area above her ears heat up. "I honestly can't tell you how great today was, you made it pretty nice too," he commented. Rain nodded. "Yeah. Thanks for a nice afternoon. And lunch." She smiled.

"Of course." He said with his dumb smile still on his face. He dug through his pocket and pulled out his phone as he checked the time, it was getting a little late. If they wanted to do anything else they should probably leave right then. Ron called for the check as he pulled out some money and put it in the booklet. As he looked around he noticed a toy shop next door, in the window was the same bear that Scott had got for Caroline. Ron stood up and gentle took Rain by the hand, "Come on, I got someone I want you to meet." He said as he grabbed some of her bags and pulled her along to the cab as they drove off.

20 minutes later, they arived at some building, it looked like a daycare. Ron smiled and got out, keeping the door open for Rain to get out. "We'll be right back." He told the cabie as they walked inside. In the doors there were little kids running around everywhere, playing and laughing, it actually seemed a rather happy place. Ron walked up to the counter and the woman smiled. "Hello sir! Little Caroline has been so excited, she can't wait to get out of here to go to her new house. She was rather sad after you explained how Scott had passed but thankfully that child doesn't have a big attention span, she just sits in that corner with that bear." "Thank you." Ron said with a slight nod as he walked with Rain to the little girl as she looked up and smiled when seeing Ron. "Ron!" She said as she got up and hugged him. He smiled and got down on a knee so he could hug her back, very lightly. "Hi sweetie, are you doing alright today?" She let go and picked up her bear. "I'm sad, but you told me I have to be strong for Daddy, so I haven't cried that much." Ron gave a worried smile. "That's right sweetie, you're doing great. Hey are you excited about christmas?" Her attitude switched, that ADD kicking in fast. "Uh-huh, Ms. Suzy told me that I'll have a new home by christmas!" "Yup, and I've made sure Santa will get all your presents to your new home. I spoke to him just for you." The little girl got big eyed and smiled as she held the bear close. "I want you to meet someone, this is Rain, Rain this is Caroline, she was the girl from yesterday..." After they talked for a little and Caroline showed Ron 4 dozen things, they finally left. As they got back in the cab and were driving off he wrapped his arm around Rain's back and kissed her on the cheek. "I hoped you like her, she's a sweet little thing. She's taking her dad's death rather well to..." He looked Rain in the eye as they drove on. "Rain...I adopted her, Caroline's my daughter now.."

Rain S. Daniels

Rain allowed herself to be pulled along by Ron, outside and into a cab. "Come on, I got someone I want you to meet." Rain wondered who it might be, but kept quiet. She would see in time.

Some time later, they pulled up outside a pristine white building. Rain thought it looked rather boring from the outside, but on the inside it felt warm and welcoming. Rain could hear the sounds of kids' laughter resonating throughout the place. She smiled. It reminded her of the times when she and Jason were younger. They would play all day, Rain tagging along behind Jason like a shadow.

Rain followed Ron to a corner where a little girl sat hugging a bear. Ron greeted her cheerfully and knelt down to hug her. Rain smiled again, loving how Ron was so careful with the child. After a few sad sentences were exchanged, the girl perked up at Ron's mention of Christmas. Rain couldn't hear all of their conversation, but apparently the girl was excited to have a home, which she would have by Christmas.

"I want you to meet someone, this is Rain. Rain, this is Caroline, she was the girl from yesterday..." "Oh!" Rain spoke involuntarily as she was introduced to the little girl who had suffered the loss caused by Ron's strength. Rain beamed at Caroline, waving and trying to look friendly. After being dragged around some more by Caroline, they finally left. By then, Rain was exhausted, trailing after a kid all day was definitely more exhausting than it sounded, especially when she had to keep bending down to the little girl's eye level.

Later, back inside the cab, Rain tried to stretch out the kinks in her muscles caused from crouching down for too long. Ron seemed nervous, though. Rain turned to him. "Ron, is there something you want to tell me?" The answer was unexpected. "Rain... I adopted her, Caroline's my daughter now..." Rain smiled. "That's great! So the home she was talking about was with us? She's so adorable, I'd love to look after her. She's got a lot of energy, I imagine taking care of her will be rather interesting."

As they headed home, Rain chattered away about Caroline. She genuinely loved the little girl, and was looking forward to giving her a proper home with the Alphas.

Ron smiled back at Rain as she seemed so excited. "Really? You're ok with this? I thought you would freak out, I mean, I'm really happy that you are ok with this, just caught me off guard." His smile grew even bigger as they got inside the cab and Ron wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her in for a slight kiss. "You don't know how much it means to me that you're ok with this, it really means a lot to me that Caroline will have someone that is happy to see her." He sat up looking around outside being cautious as he usually was. "I don't want to tell the others yet, I don't think they'll have anything bad to say, well Jas. I don't know, I don't think she'll say anything when Caroline's around, it's just a lot is changing fast and I don't want her to feel that I don't care about her anymore." Ron looked down to Rain with a smile. "Don't get me wrong, I like these changes. I just don't want to hurt her, we've been through a lot."

When they finally got back to the house, they grabbed their bags and went inside. "I'm gonna go check on the guys, you're ok with the bags?" He asked as he walked toward the kitchen, the smell off pastries in the air. "Ohhhh! I know that smell! You know you better have made two or else I'm going to eat all yo-Oh, um sorry." Ron said as he walked into the living room to see the two in the awkward hug. "Am I inturupting something?"

Rain smiled into the kiss. "Of course! I'm happy that we can give Caroline a home. She's so sweet, I think it'd really brighten up the place, you know?" she said. She understood his meaning about Jasper. "I know, maybe you should spend more time with her. I hope she doesn't feel left out, perhaps I should just blend into the background until she gets used to it."

Finally, they got home. "I'm gonna go check on the guys, you're okay with the bags?" Ron asked. Rain nodded and took the bags from him. "Yeah, don't worry about me. I'll put your stuff inside your room."

As she headed upstairs, she heard Ron call, [b]"I know that smell! You know, you better have made two or else I'm going to eat all y- " Ron stopped suddenly. "You all right in there?" Rain asked, poking her head in to have a look. The first thing she saw was Ron grinning rather awkwardly. She followed his gaze to see Jasper and Derek hugging each other. To tell the truth, they kind of looked like Rain and Ron that morning.

Dropping the bags outside the kitchen, Rain dashed inside and seized Ron by the elbow. "They're fine, come on!" She dragged him out of the kitchen and marched him upstairs, along with the bags.

Ron was drug along with Rain as she pulled him into her room, he sat down on her bed as he went in. He smiled as he leaned back, his hands holding him up. "So, your room huh?" He said with a cocky smile as he looked over at her. He was joking around, he had been in here a thousand times but this was the first time as a couple. He looked over at her with a small chuckle, his mind going back to Jasper. "You know I should really go check on them." He said as his brotherly instincts kicked in but he wanted to invade on it to. Yes he wanted Jasper to be happy and if she had found someone that could be really good, but he wanted to go down there like a little kid and pull her away saying, "Mine!". He understood how she must've felt this morning, they've just been through so much that it was weird to see each other with other people. He was going to get up but he knew that Rain wouldn't let him leave. He just smiled and watched as she did her things around the room. "Do you know that you are so beautiful?" He said with his smile as he looked at her from the bed.

Rain shoved Ron's shoulder playfully. "Don't get any ideas." "You know I should really go check on them." Ron told her. She pressed her lips together, remembering how it'd felt that morning when Arthur walked in on them. "No, you really shouldn't," she told him wisely.

Getting up, she pulled her sweater off, then draped it over her chair. Then she opened the closet and carefully stacked the wrapped presents inside, hiding them from Ron's view so he wouldn't guess what the packages contained.

"Do you know that you are so beautiful?" Ron's words broke into her thoughts. Rain stopped and turned. "No one's ever told me that," she said softly. "Thank you."

He smiled and got up as he walked behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Well you're going to be hearing it a lot more often." He said looking down on her with his big smile. He let go of her and headed for the door, "Don't worry, I'm going to take a shower." He said as he looked back at her, then walking off into the hall. "A shower that's big enough to fit more than one person!" He yelled back with a chuckle as he went into his room.

Once in the shower and under the water, he had to catch his breath. The past two days had been some of the most eventful days in his life. He'd killed a man, him and Rain were together, and now he was going to be a father. Everything was happening so fast, he wiped his face and stared at the wall. "What am I doing?" He thought as he shook it off and started soaping himself up.

After the shower he got dressed in some sweat pants and a black T-shirt as he threw himself onto his bed, looking up at the ceiling. His mind was racing a mile a minute but yet, he was so calm, so very calm. He just laid there, thinking.

Rain smiled, but did not turn. She heard Ron leave her bedroom. "Don't worry, I'm going to take a shower." She nodded, unsure if he could see it. "Okay!" she yelled back. "A shower that's big enough to fit more than one person!" Rain rolled her eyes, although Ron couldn't have known. "Boys," she muttered under her breath.

She ran her hands through her silken hair, smiling at the thought of Ron. How would Jasper react to this? She would have to make it up to her sometime, in some way, so she didn't feel left out. Besides, Jasper and Derek seemed to have something going on... It would be nice if things were like the old days, Rain decided.

Rain got up and wandered around, looking for Jasper. She even peered inside her room, although she wasn't there. Finally, Rain looked into Ron's room - and found Ron and Jasper together, holding hands. It seemed like she'd interrupted something. "Oh, I'm so sorry! Jasper, I'll be outside your room - so sorry!" she apologised again before pulling her head back and shutting the door. She couldn't help the smile that spread across her face, though. Ron and Jasper - they were just so cute when Ron was trying to be nice.

Rain strolled to Jasper's room and sat down on the cold floor, waiting.

Jasper

"Jesus Jas, I'm gonna have to put some damn bells on you." Jasper couldn't help but smile as she stuck another piece of roll into her mouth. Even though he wasn't gone long, she always missed Ron's sense of humor when he was away or in a bad mood. "Well it was nice, we did some shopping and we had lunch..." He trailed off making it more than obvious that he had something other than bells and shopping on his mind. Her smile turned down but she stayed quiet, giving Ron time to sort out his thoughts before he opened his mouth again. She was all too used to these conversations, 'well everything's great, but.... Between Ron and her mom, Jasper was always on the end of the but, the one who didn't know what was going on, ever.

The thought made even the sweet roll turn sour in her mouth and she set down the plate on the bed beside her.

In the silence that ensued, Jasper tried to busy her curious brain by absorbing the smell of Ron's body wash, the feeling of his shoulder pressed against her own, and the even sound of his breathing. Ever since they were little, just knowing that Ron was there next to her made her calm and happy. It was always comforting to know that the strongest man in the world was on your side, not only that but he was your best friend, your brother. She often found herself wishing that she could have something that big to offer to him, but what did she have to offer? She couldn't master her own powers, and even if she could, it wouldn't be as amazing as what he had or what any of the others had. Heck, even a simple electrician could do more than she could with electricity. She was no healer, she wasn't even a great cook, all of her recipes had been passed down from her mother's side, she had none of her own, all she could do was replicate. As she looked down as her useless hands, waiting for Ron, Jasper felt an overwhelming sense of worthlessness. She was just a hot tempered girl who was a slow learner. She was selfish, jealous, self-pitying.There was no part of her that Ron could be proud of. Ron was strong, funny, nice, and accepting; the two were complete opposites.

She glared down at her hands as small sparks danced over them, a product of her emotions. However, rather than getting angry at all of it, she felt more like crying, and the feeling only worsened as Ron's hand went over her own. She squeezed it involuntarily, soaking up all the comfort she could from it. She released it for a second and then squeezed it tighter, hoping for that twitch of a muscle or finger that would show her how strong he was again. He may hate his strength, but Jasper always felt comfort and pride in the bruises from his hugs, he was so much more amazing than she was and she loved him for it. And hated herself.

"I'm going to have a kid.."

Silence as she waited for him to correct himself. She knew Ron too much to know when he had his foot in his mouth. She would have smiled if she wasn't in such a bad mood. She listened quietly as Ron told her everything. She wanted to do something but she felt herself going numb from her toes and slowly creeping up. "I.. did this, and I'm not going to make that poor little girl grow up in a home with no one to love her." She stole a glance at her friend and met his eyes for a second before tuning back to their hands. "And...I'd really like it if she could have a aunt to come too." An aunt... She felt so conflicted, she wanted to show her support for her best friend's decision, but her mind was still in so much turmoil and she felt like exploding, but she didn't want to do it in front of him. She didn't want him thinking it was because of his taking in Caroline.

Jasper squeezed his hand a final time and stood up, a humorless chuckle rattling her lungs. "And I thought I'd at least have a boyfriend before I'd be an aunt." She said, a grin resembling a grimace crossing her face. She hoped he wouldn't take it to heart, she was trying to hide her emotions with humor, after all. Jasper turned on her heels and walked out, somewhat robotically, and entered her room, shutting the door and locking it behind her before she realized that she wasn't alone.

Her heart felt like ice and she was more than happy to collapse onto Rain's lap and burst into tears, however childish the action was.

Rain was leaning against the frame of Jasper's bed, her legs crossed under her on the floor, when she heard the door opening. She looked up to find Jasper stalking in. Before Rain could greet her, Jasper locked the door behind her. She turned and her eyes met Rain, before Rain realised that something terribly wrong.

Rain was about to get up, but Jasper collapsed onto her and started bawling her eyes out. Rain's hands hovered over Jasper's head, trying to decide what would be the best way to comfort her. Eventually, she gave up, and just pulled her upright, hugging her tight, stroking her back gently. "It's okay, Jasper," she whispered softly. "Cry it out, that's it." She ignored the fact that her shirt was soaked in Jasper's tears.

She waited until Jasper's sobs became lighter, then, without letting go of Jasper, asked, "Do you want to talk about it?"

Jasper was greatful for Rain's comfort as she cried. She usually didn't like to cry in front of other people, but for some reason, she found herself doing a lot of it lately. As her sobs slowly died out, she settled into a period of sniffles and hiccups. She heard Rain's question, but she hesitated for a while before she finally decided to answer.

Awkwardly sliding off of Rain's lap, Jasper wiped her eyes on her and took a long, shaky breath. "I really wanted Ron to know that I support his decision to take in Caroline, but I sort of just fell apart before I could tell him." she sighed and ran her hand through her hair. "I see you and him together and I get so jealous. You two are so perfect together, you are both strong, kind, and selfless. But me... I'm his opposite, I'm nothing like him and I wish I had something to give him like you do. When I'm with him, I feel so safe and proud of him, but he has nothing to be proud of in me. I can't even control my own powers." Jasper hugged herself, a tear going down her right cheek.

"thank you for listening, Rain." she muttered, embarrassed.

Rain put an arm around Jasper's shoulders. "If you want, I can tell Ron to go easy for a while, until you feel better about it. Look, tell you what, let's go out one of these days, okay? Just the two of us, doing whatever you want. Shopping, maybe a fair, or even the amusement park. Girls' night out. And why wouldn't he be proud of you? You are one of the strongest people I've ever known. Maybe you don't have complete control of your power, but neither do any of us. Why would you want to be perfect - so overrated. You're an amazing person, Jasper."

Her eyes lit up. "How about I gave you your Christmas present early? Would that cheer you up?" Hugging Jasper tightly, Rain whispered, "And you're welcome. You know I'm always here for you."

Jasper sighed, not really believing what Rain was telling her, but she was comforted by her attempt. If Ron was to date anyone, she was glad it was Rain. Suddenly conscious of her wet cheeks, she viciously wiped at them until the coarse fabric of her jacket rubbed them raw and red. "That's two today, Ron's-hic!- gonna pay." She muttered, her threat ruined by her stuffed nose and hiccups. She turned to Rain and shrugged out of her hug, big tough Jasper once more. "Thank you, I'd like that."

"How about I gave you your Christmas present early? Would that cheer you up?" Jasper allowed Rain's warm hug, finding comfort in her kind contact.

"I don't think that's make me feel much better, I like waiting for Christmas to open them." She shrugged, "it just seems more magical that way." Standing up on wobbly legs, Jasper shot a glance to the bed and suddenly remembered the slice of roll she had cut for the other girl. "I'm going to go...apologize to Ron," she gritted her teeth, apologizing wasn't her favorite thing in the world to do. "There's some of the roll I made on the bed for you, if you don't want it, just wrap it up and stick it in the fridge." And with that, the purple haired girl was out.

Ron definitely wasn't the type of person who was hard to find. He'd either follow you and try to help if you were upset, or he'd stay where he was. Obviously in this case he had stayed put. Jasper looked at his sleeping body and was actually slightly annoyed. How could he just doze off when she was upset? She walked right in and sat on him. "Ron Faulk, the next time you fall asleep when I'm in a bad mood, I swear to god I'll beat you to a bloody pulp." She announced into his ear.

Rain S. Daniels

Rain waited for about ten minutes inside Jasper's room, waiting. When she was sure that Jasper and Ron had made up, she got up and made her way over. She heard laughter float down the hall. It sounded like Ron's, but maybe Jasper's was mixed in as well. Rain smiled, pausing outside the door for a minute.

She opened it, just in time to see Ron and Jasper asleep, Ron draped over the purple-haired girl. Rain paused, unsure of what was happening before her eyes. On one hand, she trusted Jasper and Ron, they were like siblings. And besides, with everything that happened that morning - she trusted him.

On the other hand, they were in a very intimate position. Bodies intertwined... yep, definitely intimate. With a sudden burst of anger that she couldn't explain, Rain turned on her heel and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her. She raced downstairs, and pulling on a coat, went out onto the streets to walk it off.

Ron woke with a start as he heard the door slam. He lifted his head slowly and rubbed his eyes, he looked down to see his legs tangled up with Jasper's and his arm laying across her midriff. He rolled away from her and sat up on the edge of the bed. He looked back over at her with heavy eyes and then the door. Putting his hands on his face as the realization of what just happened hit him. "AhhhhhHHH Rain! Wait!" He stood up and reached to grab his jacket as he turned back to Jasper not sure if she was awake or not.

"I'm sorry Jas, I keep doing this shit to you and her and I mean." He leaned up against the wall and took a minute as he collected his thoughts and calmed himself a little. He looked over at her just silent, he was just so tired. "I'm going to go after her, I'll be back in a little." He said as he exited the room and went quickly down the stairs.

As he left the house he caught of glimpse of her down the sidewalk and ran after her. "Rain, Rain! Will you stop this, let me talk to you." Ron yells as he pushed pass the crowd until he got behind Rain. "Rain stop, please, can't we talk?" He tried to keep his pace behind her. "You know that didn't mean anything, she's like my sister, I know I can't bee doing that but it was just a habit I'm sorry Rain." He kept walking and saw a ally way coming up. He very quickly pulled her to the side until they were out of view and then grabbed her making sure she was secure and then jumping up to the roof above.

Once he was touching the roof he let her go. "There, no where to walk to." He said putting his hands up. "Beat on me, yell at me, I know I was in the wrong and I deserve this but I just want you to understand where I'm coming from." He said as he paused letting her get out whatever she wanted to. "I'm sorry Rain, I've just been so tired and I wasn't thinking. I swear something like that wont happen again. Rain we're just friends, I promise." He walked up to her getting close. "Rain, I want you...and only you. It's always been that way Rain. I'm sorry..."

Rain S. Daniels

Rain heard Ron yelling after her and immediately regretted slamming the bedroom door that hard. Perhaps she should have done it quietly, then she would have more time to herself. As it was, Ron was already coming after her. Scowling under the hood of the jacket she'd pulled over her face, she increased her pace, hoping to escape him.

No such luck. Ron caught up to her, keeping pace with her, though he admittedly kept behind Rain. "Rain, stop, please, can't we talk?" "No, we can't," Rain muttered under her breath, uncharacteristically irritable for someone as sweet and reserved as her.

She overlooked the alley way, which was the cause of her surprise. She let out a yelp as Ron pulled her into it, arching her back instinctively. Ron still didn't let go of her, holding her close and jumping onto the roof, even when Rain kicked her heels back into his shin.

Finally, he let go. Rain stood at the edge of the roof, glaring furiously at Ron. Her expression softened when she saw Ron's hands up in a gesture of surrender. "Beat on me, yell at me, I know I was in the wrong and I deserve this but I just want you to understand where I'm coming from. I'm sorry Rain, I've just been so tired and I wasn't thinking. I swear something like that won't happen again. Rain, we're just friends, I promise."

Rain bit her lip, which was beginning to tremble. She tried to hold back the tears that were welling up in her eyes, and sniffed once, unwillingly. She couldn't say anything, because she knew that if she tried, she would start crying. She pulled her hood lower over her face, directing her gaze at her feet.

"I know," she finally managed, in a surprisingly clear voice. "I just - I'm sorry."

Ron smiled at Rain as she tried to hide her face. He walked over to her and put his finger under her chin like before, lifting until their eyes met. He held her close in loving hug, not wanting to go for the kiss in case the little girl still had her anger in her. "There's nothing to be sorry about, it's just... when we get back, sometime before christmas, I'd just like to talk with both of you, get all this out on table, ya know?" He said looking down at her, "Wanna get any punches in before we go back down and someone can call the cops on you?" He said with a chuckle as he turned his back to her. "Hop on." He said as he waited for the soft hands to come around his neck, his hands wrapping around her legs to where he could have a good grip on her. He decided that they should go back to the house, having had plenty of outside today. He hopped across the roof tops with ease, holding on to Rain tightly to hold her in place as they leaped. Once on the roof to the home they could take the roof entrance from there. He set her down and let her take lead as they got back home but held onto her hand. He pulled her back and before she could get a word out he kissed her and held her there for a while. When he broke it he opened his eyes slowly and smiled, "Now remember that next time will you?" He said as he put his arm around her and walked inside together.

Once on the house level he looked down the hall to see his bedroom door open. "Hey I'm going to go talk to Jas, I gotta talk to her about what I did." He turned to Rain and ran his big hands across her curves and hips, just smiling and holding her. Really driving the point in that she was the only one. "I'll be back, see if the others are home, it's been a few hours since they left." As Ron went to his room he peaked in to see that she wasn't there anymore, he hustled down to her room and opened it a crack to see if she was in there. Before going in he caught his breath and opened the door. He sat next to her bed, similar to that morning in the living room. "Ya know, I read somewhere that it takes quite a bit of electricaty to kill a man, and that people can even build up a immunity to it, so that's gotta mean that I'm like 3 times as able to survive. You can give it a go." He said holding his arm out to the bed. "Before you say anything, please let me get this out. Jasper, I love you, I always have, always will. I love Rain to, she means a lot to me. I'm not going to stop doing anything with me and you or me and her. I'm still going to love you, I'm going to bug you to make me breakfast because I'm to lazy, I'm going to carry your ass to the taxi on momma's birthday and make sure your happy as can be. Your going to make sure I'm dressed right and not like a bum so I don't embaress you even though I'm going to try." He said with a little laugh as he looked up to her. "It's just she's going to be there to, helping, and loving, and caring. I know that might not be fair to you after all these years but she means a lot to me and hopefully that's enough for you." Ron poked at Jasper's side softly as he giggled like a little kid. "And back there, sleeping like that, that was fine, that wasn't your fault, not mine, not Rain's. I just need to tell you both that things aren't going to change, life is good and if I want to take a nap with you or Rain I don't need either of you barging in and waking my ass up, I'm tired, let me sleep dammit. Maybe wake me up though if it's your niece under me get that poor girl out of there." He said laughing as he stood up. He leaned down and kissed Jasper on the forehead and then softly took her cheeks in his hands, "I love you Jas, ok? Now I'll leave you alone, and stop moping around! You look ugly when you mop." He said teasing her as he smiled back at her before leaving. As he left he walked downstairs sitting on the couch and turning on the TV. "Hey Arthur!? You back yet!?" He yelled from the couch, after today, some guy time was very, very welcomed.
