Utopia... at any cost.
Dr. Xavier René's style of assisting people has always been looked down on because of his complete utilitarianism. He has no problem killing one man if it will help two. While Xavier is polite, he demands the utmost respect for himself, because it is rare that he sees anyone as an equal.
Dr. Xavier René is only equipped with the single tool that he managed to sneak out of his lab prior to his arrest and a small assistant robot he made while in the gang's captivity. The tool is a small multi-purpose tool called ABP. It has a screwdriver, a welding gun, a hammer, a wrench, and many other useful tools. The small robot that he created from scrap gunmetal now serves as an assistant, helping him create devices in addition to being his lookout.
Dr. Xavier René was a successful humanitarian scientist with a very special power. Similarly to other engineers, he spent his youth building and experimenting with devices. However, what he saw in them was deeper than most could. He could see the life within the machines and toys that he used in his every day life. He used his special powers to vault himself through high school and college, becoming an engineer. Xavier worked with many other people on his various projects, although he never truly saw them as equal to him. He knew he had a deeper connection to what he and others made. Xavier wanted to give to humanity, so he could see a fantastic world. He began to work on devices that would make warfare less based around humans and more unmanned vehicles. However, because of his connection to the machine's souls, he regretted his decision, and turned his projects to helping the people of the planet through the conflict, instead of assisting it. His final project was a way to end world hunger – at the cost of the slavery for others. After much debate, his peers claimed it was too inhumane, and that his plan should be canceled. Xavier saw how much suffering there was in the world, and decided that the good of the many was much more important than the good of the few. Stealing funds from his fellow colleagues, he began to start his project, however he was arrested before he managed to launch it. At the trial, he took the plea to relinquish his standing in the scientific community, all funding, and everything he had, in exchange for not going to jail for life. Embarrassed and shunned by his once colleagues, he set his eyes on revenge. For a man with no money or resources, this would be difficult. He saw opportunity in the conflict in New Cosmopolitan City, and traveled there immediately. As he arrived, he was greeted by a gang group who took him hostage. Xavier convinced them that he could design them new weapons as long as they got him the supplies and kept him safe. It worked for a while, until a rival gang raided his lab and killed his captors. The new gang decided it wasn’t in their best interest to help him, and planned on selling him as a hostage to other gangs or militaries. Xavier did not want to see this happen, and so took action against his captors. After eliminating the gang, he began to turn their hideout into his own laboratory. Now, he hopes to take over New Cosmopolitan City and turn it into the utopia he desires.
