Introduction
Avernan Regional Hospital: The Avernan Regional Hospital is one of the buildings in the city that have been untouched by bombs or weaponry. It is a place where people are supposed to get better and rehabilitate from the misery of the war. The doctors and nurses are all friendly and normally do their job well. Most patients in the hospital have only suffered from gunshots or shrapnel and are on their way back to a normal life. But then there is the amputee ward where even if the patients recover mentally, they will never be the same physically.
The hospital is made up of three buildings, each three floors high.
Note: It is possible that after a couple days the RP will take place outside of the hospital.
Plays in like a 30s or 40s era.

Re: [OOC] Horrors of War
Random guy: Hey! I know someone who has that! That's not funny!!!
So they go raging at you. No, that would be awful. So, ya, sorry, about, all that your soaking in and thanks for explaining things to me and Noxize.
I hope it gets somewhere, though, the way things are, it sound like a rocky start. Bum Bum Bum....

Re: [OOC] Horrors of War
"Some say that the mechanical limbs have their own soul. Others are just screaming, trying to get them off."
Which could easily be read as 'The patients being crazy..and thinking the limbs are alive.' If it's true that the limbs ARE in fact the cause..you might wanna make it more clear.
I had a few simple questions...no need to get all hostile there.
Re: [OOC] Horrors of War
Scarlet Bullets: This is like the fifth time you complain that an rp of mine isnt realistic. Well duh. It is fiction. It is a mix of dieselpunk, fantasy, horror, thriller and mystery (can add drama if you have THAT type of character). By the way, you dont go back to war. The war came abruptly to an end. It is uncertain though if it is a ceasefire or an actual end to the war. The likeliness that war would come again is somewhere between 20% and 50%.
It is more like if you manage to stay sane with your environment bombarding you with creepy, freakish, horrifying or sometimes gory, grotesque stuff, then you have the choice between eliminating the doctor, nurse, scientists or whatever is responsible for the somehow insane, somewhat supernatural occurrences or killing another antagonist (such as my criminally insane character) or just committing suicide to escape the misery, if there seems like no other way.
And with Fallout, dieselpunk (20s, 30s, 40s, only conventional weaponry, no nuclear capability yet) is like retropunk (Fallout, 50s, nuclear capability) just set a bit earlier. Imagine, it is if WWII had more technological progress (minus nuclear warheads). Some examples for dieselpunk are FMA, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Crimson Skies, Bioshock etc.
You could read up on wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberpunk_ ... Dieselpunk
It depends on the authors perspective. Since my view on the entire world in this rp isnt 100%, it leaves room for roleplayers to add some content. Just I hope this one doesnt die after 60 posts like my other rps. My longest went up to like 600 or 700 posts (but therefore it went for about half a year with four posts a day or so).
Re: [OOC] Horrors of War
Example 1.) I'm gonna join the army and whip them people upside down!
Example 2.) I'm gonna find a new place to live. *Said place gets bombed again* Well shit!
See my point? So, it should not really offend anyone. It's more about the mystery of the war and why the limbs mess with the peoples minds, or worse... So, with that said...
I would like to join! :D
Re: [OOC] Horrors of War
Also...you might wanna do some research on amputees... I have quite a few friends that lost limbs in the war, none of them are crazy. If you try to make it look like people who are disfigured in war are all crazy and stuff..you WILL offend someone.
