Born to Jesse and Robert Larke on a fine autumn day, Sophia was to be the present the couple always wanted. Unfortunately, everything has a price. When 9 hours passed spent in labour, it had become evident that this wasn't to be a normal birth with minimal complications. In the end, Sophia was born at the price of her mother's own life, her crying screams occurring simultaneously to the woman's last breath.

Raised by an overbearing and protective father, Sophia never questioned her lack of a maternal figure simply because she had never known such. Though, despite his love for his daughter, it wasn't enough to keep Robert Larke from his duties as the local sheriff and from leaving the home at odd hours when called. And thus little Sophia learned to grow up by herself. Having matured faster than other children her age, it became harder for her to make connections to her peers and to find friends. Things only went down hill when the Sinclairs transferred to her school, quickly isolating her even further. Not sure exactly why they, Reign in particular, target her, Sophia became desperate to gain approval of those around her.
