A Japanese-American NSA Agent
She's a fun person to be around during down time, so log as you know her. Unfortunately, due to her line of work, most people she knows are mere acquaintances. She tends to be on the perkier side, anyways, though anyone who spends a lot of time around her will notice that she doesn't instigate conversations or activities unless she has been ordered to, wants something from you, or really likes you. The latter is a very rare occurrence. She tends to keep her cool most of the time; she vents her anger constructively- through training or the sending of computer viruses. She also writes songs, though she'll ever let anyone but her mother know.
She follows the typical spy policy of always carrying a weapon- if she doesn't have a handgun on her person, then there's probably a knife of some sort hidden on her.
Nana Hatoshi's true name is Kayame Streetman, or 'Yamatan'. Her mother and father met through the Intersect program; Her mother, Kiaru Hatoshi, was an NSA computer programmer who helped to build the original Intersect and her father, James Streetman, was a CIA agent who help compile the information to be put into the Intersect. Kayame never knew this, of course. She thought her father was a Home Security Salesman and that her mother was a run-of-the-mill computer programmer. However, Kayame's mother was shocked to find that Mr. Streetman was the source of an information leak. He'd been providing Fulcrum with pieces of the Intersect Information Compilation for over six months. How she found out: her 20-year-old daughter got suspicious of her father when she came home one night around midnight to see him leaving. She observed him for awhile and saw a pattern in this, and soon followed him to be sure he wasn't cheating on her mother. Mrs.Streetman reported him to her superiors.
When all was said and done, the NSA gave Kayame the security clearance to be told about the Intersect Project, her mother and father's roles in it, and what her father had just done. The two were moved away to New York where Kayame underwent her training to become an official NSA agent; scouted not just for her lineage, but for her skills with a computer and espionage. During this move, the two took up new identities for safety- James had never been apprehended and Fulcrum was definitely a rouge element. Even after a young man in the Burbank area became the Intersect and Fulcrum became more active, James's name never came up. Needless to say it was a relief when the two heard that the Burbank Intersect Initiative had taken down Fulcrum.
Since then, a New York Intersect Initiative was set up. Since her joining a few years ago, 'Nana Hatoshi' has become known for her skills on the field, but moreso for her skills with computers. She was hired for her split skill to become a handler. It was proven in Burbank that someone of more scientific knowledge was needed to work one on one with the Intersect agent. Nana fit the bill. She would remain at the base most of the time, but would also accompany the Intersect on missions as surveillance or a 'scout' of sorts. Her most important job, though: Maintaining the new Intersect's Governor.
