As the sun began to rise, Lizarbell abruptly sat up. She had taken the night to think about leaving, and now her decision was final. Instead of a nightmare this time, she had had a wonderful dream about an amazing adventure that persuaded her to go from this place. Agreeably, she would miss her friend Shikina dearly, along with her friendly goat Thit and generally waking up every morning to the scent of fresh fruit, surrounded by warmth. On the other hand, the adventure would bring lots of new friends and most importantly, the answers to all of Lizarbells' questions. Speedily, she got dressed, packed some fresh fruit and juice into her backpack and kissed Thit goodbye. Already tears were welling in her eyes, so she ran out of the barn. Hopefully she wouldn't come across Shikina along the way, as she would surely stop Lizarbell from going. After all, Shikina was very reluctant in the idea of Lizarbell going, and carefully persuaded her to think about it in the morning. Well, that's what she had done so it was time for the adventure to begin!!
wandering through the woods, avi was bored as hell and needed something to do. as he got to the end of the woods he saw a barn with someone walking away from it "why dont i follow her and see what she is doin" he though to him self so he leapt on to a tree branch and followed her via the trees.
Looking upwards, Lizarbell thought she saw and heard something moving in the trees. Then again, it could've just been her imagination. Gently she pushed open the rusty old gate, and began to walk up the lane. At this point tears were welling in her eyes at the thought of leaving all her friends. She wiped them with her hand and continued walking onwards. Since she had no idea where she was going, she just followed her instinct and continued on the dusty path leading over the horizon.

Shikina woke early she hadn't gotten much sleep, then she remembered Lizarbell and how she wanted to leave. She had said she would think about it then decide in the morning. As much as Shikina hoped she would stay knowing Lizarbell she would go. Deciding she just couldn't let Lizarbell go on her own like that she pulled on her dress and boots, grabbed her satchel (which she had prepared last night in worry that this would happen) and dashed out her door closing it quietly. She made her way to the barn only to find Lizarbell gone, just as she had expected. This was it she thought she was going after Liz and she couldn't change her mind now. She just hoped it was the right decision. Quickly leaving the barn Shikina searched around to see which way Liz might have gone.
avi stopped at the end of the trees near lizarbell crap i cant follow her... might as well head back then. he thought. he dashed through the trees to see another girl near the gate i bet shes looking for her friend... the one i was following. he jumped down from the tree next to the gate " 'ello mate, you lookin for your friend? if you are she went down tis road not to long ago. " he said politely, having the girl look at him before disappearing into the trees.
Meanwhile Lizarbell was walking further along the path, whilst singing a little song to herself. She gazed around her at the many beautiful butterflies, frolicking rabbits and the other wonderful wildlife that surrounded her. Soon the lane ended at a vast field, and in the distance Liz could see a dark green forest. Hopefully she could find shelter in there and more food and drink that she might need along the way. Plus it would make a good stop point where she could have her lunch.

Shikina looked around, worriedly. Liz had probably gone the way that seemed least known if she was starting an adventure. She walked over the the old gate looking round to find any sort of clue that Liz really had gone this way, lost in thought she was startled when the boy spoke. "Oh, well thank you." She said quickly only to find the boy had allready vanished off into the trees. Glad to have a clue on were Liz was heading she set off quickly down the road hoping to catch up with Lizarbell. As she hurried down the lane she realised that she hadn't really been concentrating on her surroundings. What if I get lost! She thought, Or what if she went off the path and I missed her. She looked up and realised the lane was thinning out and she could see a field in front of her, hoping Liz was there she set off towards the field to find her.
Once she reached the verdant forest, Lizarbell climbed what looked to be a suitable tree and settled down. Since it had begun to get chilly, she put on a thick green cardigan and began to eat some luscious fruit. Listening closer to the nature, Liz thought she heard a trickling stream. So she slung her backpack over a branch and hopped down to the ground, before running towards the sound. Sure enough, there was a lovely clean stream. She bent down and splashed some water onto her face, gasping at the coldness. Then she grabbed some leaves and grass, dipped them in the water then began to rub it over the bare parts of her body in order to wash herself.
"oi' lass i wouldn't be washen your self with those leaves" avi chuckled when he saw lizar washing herself with poison ivy leaves. he jumped down from the tree with a bowl filled with something "its a good thing a have some poison ivy remdy on me." avi handed the bowl to lizarbell "i was followin ya earlier lass, seems a friend of yours is lookin for ya. oh by the way my name is avi ariku" avi said to lizarbell. "i better get on goin' if you need anything just shout im bound to hear ya" and he disappeared into the trees.
Lizarbell gasped when Avi spoke and jumped down. As he said about the leaves, Lizarbell dropped the poison ivy and picked up the bowl filled with a remedy. "Which friend..?" she began to ask, but then the young boy. "By the way, my names Lizarbell!" she shouted as he leapt away through the trees. I bet it's Shikina! Oh well, it's too late to send her back now. she thought to herself, shrugging. Then she applied the remedy to her skin. She wasn't sure if she had to eat it or what, but eventually she decided to rub it where she had used the poison ivy.

Panicking now Shikina ran across the field, she was desparate to find Liz soon, it was getting cold now and she wasn't sure what would happen if it got to evening when it was getting dark. Shikina slowed down now panting she hadn't noticed how far or fast she had been running, her mind had been full of worries and her determanation to find Lizarbell. Stopping for a quick rest and to get her breath back she looked back and realised she'd managed to run across most of the field and now turning back to what lay ahead of her he saw the huge forest ahead of her. I could turn back now, maybe Liz didn't make it this far She debated with herself but she knew if she went back now she would never shake the feeling that her best friend was in there. She took a few steps forward and went into the forest. Stumbling around abit she thought to herself This forest is so big i'll never find her feeling lost, tired and hopeless she cried out in desperation "Liz! Liz, are you here!" no answer She thought then she tried again "Lizarbell!"
Faintly Lizarbell heard someone calling her name, "Liz! Liz, are you here! Lizarbell!" It sounded like Shikina, thought Lizarbell. Sighing, she put the leaves down and trudged through the woods, back to the tree she first settled in. Instantly she leapt up into the branches and took out a bottle of juice and a fresh apple. Then she jumped down, walked over to Shikina from behind and put them into her hands. The thing about Lizarbell was that she loved to play pranks on her friends and surprise them. That was just her way of saying she liked someone!

Shikina jumped startled, "Liz!" She said happily then her voice turned to annoyance "Don't do that to me." she said teasingly. "I seriously thought I would never find you!" Shikina paused for a moment looking around it seemed quite a nice place. " So, are we stpping to rest here?" She asked calmly now "Oh, and before you can say otherwise i'm coming with you" She said smiling.
Lizarbell shrugged and agreed with Shikina, "OK then. I suppose it's too late to turn back now anyway." Then she ran off and climbed up into her tree, assuming Shikina would follow her. Rummaging around in her bag once again, she pulled out one of her spare jackets and handed it down to Shikina, in case she was cold.
Suddenly a wintry gust of wind blew through the trees, making the woods feel spooky and sinister. A chill ran down Liz's spine and she started to shake violently. A moan came from deep into the forest and Lizarbell almost let out a scream. Forgetting Shikina was there, instead she shouted, "AVI!!!" since it was the only thing she could think of.

Shikina folowed her climbing up the tree just a little slower and settling on a slightly lower branch. She could feel the chill and gladly took the jacket Lizarbell offered as well as taking a thinnish worn jumper out of her bag to put on underneath. She froze in terror as the icy wind blew past them. She clasped her hand over her mouth and stayed still as she heard the moan deep in the forest. She didn't bother to ask or even think Who was Avi? it just wasn't the right time and if Lizarbell thought they could help then she was happy with that.

"we should head back to where i saw your friend." avi looked over to see shikina sitting next to liz "oi i see you found liz, my name is avi miss, avi ariku." he said looking back in the direction of the noise he heard the same moan louder just a few seconds later "we best get goin misses we will soon have company." he said with a serious face.

Shikina recognised the boy as the one who she spoke briefly with earlier she was glad Liz's yells hadn't accidently attracted the thing that made the moan, the boy spoke snapping her out of her thoughts, he turned and looked at her then spoke again after recognising her then introducing himself. Before Shikina could reply the moan echoed through the woods again. She stood up on the branch and slung her bag over her shoulder she wanted to get away from the noise and Avi's idea sounded like a good one. "Ok, lets go." she paused "I'm Shikina by the way, oh and thanks for earlier" she said quickly.
Quickly Lizarbell grabbed her backpack, slung it over her back and leapt onto the ground. Instinctively, she began to run deeper into the woods since it was the opposite way to which she came in, and she didn't want to go back on herself. All the while her mind buzzed with horrible thoughts of what the noise could be caused by. A savage wolf that could rip the flesh of of your body? A zombie cow with rabies? Or even a soul from the depths of hell come to reek his revenge!?
Whatever it was, it sure wasn't happy. Lizarbell ran as fast as she could over the stream, through icky mud and under the lofty trees. As she did not look behind her, she didn't know whether Avi and Shikina had followed her or not. But right now, she didn't care. Because right now, it was a matter of life and death.

"Liz!" she called out as Lizarbell jumped down and ran off. Shikina wasn't sure which way to go, she jumped down from the tree and sprinted after her she dodged round a tree desperate to not lose Lizarbell again but then she was jerked to a stop when something pulled sharp on her neck, her bag had swung round and got caught on a twisted branch, she quickly unhooked it but the branch was awkwardly twisted with ivy wrapped round it making it difficult to unravel. She had to pull hard and the effort sent her flying back into the deep mud she wasn't even sure which way Liz had gone now she stood up and looked round then another moan was heard not that far off from her she quickly crawled beneath a thick bramble bush, there wasn't time to run further she just hoped Lizarbell and Avi would find somewhere safe.
Eventually Lizarbell stopped and began to climb what seemed to be the tallest tree in the woods. Once she was at the top, it began to sway gently. Although it was very unlikely to break, the tree moving still made Liz feel scared. Suddenly she noticed, now that she had the time to think, that Shikina and Avi weren't there. As she gazed down at the scenery below, she thought she saw something move under a bush. She was about to call for her friends when she stopped, thinking it might attract the strangely moaning creature.
It was exceedingly chilly high up in the treetops, but Lizarbell did not want to let go to rummage in her bag for a blanket in case she fell. But the wind was so harsh and the cold was unbearable, especially since she was at a high altitude.

Shikina stayed under the bush awhile waiting, she could her a rustling nearby. She hoped it was not the thing that made the moan, could it be silently creeping up on her? She stayed still but the position she was at in was uncomfortable, she wanted to crawl out but she was not sure where the moaning thing had gotten to by now so she stayed put cautiosly listening.

"oi lass why you hiding down there...." avi said seeing a figure in the bushes. he was wandering the woods look for the two when he saw the figure in the bush. "jee lass you could of just.... never mind.." avi muttered realizing she couldnt of called his name because of the thing that was wandering around.
"wheres liz?" he asked pulling out a telescope he scanned the trees when he saw liz on the highest tree in the woods. "found her, she's up there" avi said pointing at the highest tree. lets go.

Shikina crawled out and stretched, "oh good, let's go get Liz" she said following Avi to the tree where she could now see the figure that was Lizarbell. Few she thought it must have just been Liz who she had heard nearby and hopefully not the thing. She brushed some of the mud from her dress it would dry later though so it didn't really matter. Liz was quite high up so she prepared herself to climb a bit if they needed to.
