The Kind and Creative Vicar race.
Vicar are very kind hearted people who care for their loved ones. Vicar are very friendly and never really hold grudges as long as their loved ones were involved. Vicars joke alot and are very sarcastic, and sometimes goofy. Vicars like making up stories and sharing them with their friends.
Vicars wear a cape over one arm with the symbol of their house. They also wear leather that varies between brown, black, and grey. The Vicar tend to wear one color or two at a time. Maybe wearing only grey, with a little brown mixed in. They enjoy vest and gloves as well. All Vicars from time to time wear masks they made themselves. The masks do relate to their religion.
The Vicar weapons are normally old relics from 1000 years ago. The Vicars could forge weapons with their powers but for the last 1000 years had to settle with using their ancestors weapons. The Vicar’s main weapons are Short swords with shields. They also carry various throwing knives on them and are very accurate with the knives. The Vicar weapons have mythical creators depicted on them. Swords handles made to look like snakes or animal legs with different hooves or claws at the end. Their Shields Look like distorted faces, and are also shinny enough to cast a reflection like in a mirror.
The Vicar were the first ally, and longest enemy to the Auroc. The Aurocs forced the Vicar to be a part of their damned army. The Vicar were freed by the Lexophiles and have fought the Aurocs ever since.
Old magic: Vicars have among them what is known as a Somn, or Dream conjurer. Somn comes from the word Somnambulate which means ‘sleep walker.’ The Vicar was given this name because they can conjure things from their imagination, and control what happens in their dreams. A dead Somn can reappear in the dream world to be almost as real as they were in life. Those who were very close to the Somn are the only ones who can see them in their dreams. The Somn’s power comes from their imagination. It is easy for a Somn to create visual or sound illusions with their power, but if the can concentrate hard enough they are able to conjurer what they imagine into reality. In order to do this, normally the Somn must study whatever they wish to conjurer in their dreams. Somn’s are dream walkers.
Since the Vicars have lost their powers, Dreams no longer feel the same. Many Vicars don’t dream, and those who do can’t remember what they dreamt when they wake. Vicars still write stories, and love making art but most Vicars feel as if something is missing. The Vicar people do wonder what life would be like with the magic they hear about in the tales of old. Some Vicars don’t believe in old magic. The people as a whole though do what their king tells them while also trusting the other 9 races to keep up the treaty. So no one is worried about unlocking the gates in the Vicar land.
