Abilities:
Forcefield- A shield used to defend against magical attacks for up to ten minutes of average, depending on the energy put into the shield and the strength of the attacks.
Telekinesis- The ability to move things using only will. Catch is, Azael can't lift things much larger than he is, and the amount of time he can manipulate things varies depending on his efforts and the size of the object.
Empathy- The ability to sense and, in some cases, tweak the emotions of others. If used correctly (or incorrectly, depending on how one looks at it), this can spark conflict of considerable proportions, or other consequences of equal magnitude. If Azael is particularly peeved or bored, he may abuse the power.
Signature Ability:
Shadowmeister- A rather indirect ability, Azael uses his own troubled emotions to possess the shadow of his opponent, turning it into a vicious, tangible fighter that Azael, in actuality, has little control over besides administering to it a target. Other than that, the only thing he can command of the shadow golem is its deconstruction back into his opponent’s shadow. The maximum amount of shadows he can “possess” is four, and afterwords it tends to leave Azael in a weakened state.
Special Class Abilities:
Sorrow’s Curse- A combined Psychic/Black Mage ability. Summoning all of his animosity, frustration, and other ill feelings accumulated throughout his lifetime (which is… a ton), combined with some of his Black Magic, Azael releases a dark shockwave that can easily knock opponents off their feet as well as disorientate them and leave them feeling pretty shitty as far as emotions go.
Full Throttle Ability:
Malignant Reserve- Using a technique similar to Sorrow's Curse, Azael calls on his lifetime of negative emotions and uses them to strengthen his Black Magic. Tapping into that reserve of energy, he encloses his opponents in a dark miasma of psychic ability and Black Magic. Then, he throws them about in random directions using his telekinesis, which at this point is strained to its limit. His enemies flurry about, hitting everything in their path (maybe even each other) until Azael's anger subsides and his strength leaves. Before completely drained, he sends his opponents flying backwards one last time before almost collapsing in the wake of the taxing ability.

Personality: Who are you? Azael doesn’t care. He hates your guts. He wants to stab you in the chest with a sharp object multiple times, mutilate your body, and abandon you in the woods for the beasts to eat your rotting body alive. Azael is a horribly bitter person on the inside, although from the outside it may look like he’s just a recluse. He hates everything. In fact, the only person he had never shown hostile intentions towards was his grandfather. Now that he’s dead, it’s safe to say that Azael hates and always will hate everyone. He may be hard to get talking, but when he does, cover your ears. His tongue is sharp and vile and it seems as though he has little control over what he says. It’s true that he doesn’t. Azael has hardly any control over his anger and it’s easy for him to take things a step or two too far.

Biography: Born in Setsuri, Azael has always been a wandering soul. As such, his parents allowed him to live with his traveling grandfather, a spry old scholar who would also hone Azael's Psychic and Mage skills. From age five, Azael lived, learned, and travelled with his grandfather through all five nations, including Dainel, Azael's personal favorite. Eleven years of his training passed before his grandfather perished in the Land of Iron and Snow, murdered by an unknown assailant while Azael had been elsewhere. Although devastated, Azael made the decision not to return home for reasons unknown. Instead, he's spent the last few months wandering and training alone.
Recently, though, he's come into contact with a very strange girl while wandering around the region of Katavia. Despite his best efforts, she refused to leave him alone. She spoke of finding the Rings, a task he himself had entertained thoughts of. According to her, she required his assistance to complete the quest, for reasons quite unclear. However, despite his extremely antisocial tendencies, he found himself agreeing to help. With the Rings, he can finally achieve his goal...
