Tinkerton Puck

"Anything I can do to help."

0 · 799 views · located in The Interactive Dream Dimension

a character in “Lucid Dreamers: Revolution”, as played by RacoonMoon()

Description

Character Sheet:
Name: Tinkerbolt Puck
Age: 15
Role: the messenger
Appearance: Measuring at 5 inches and 7lbs, Tinkerton is all skin and bones. He has two sets of wings that poke through his brown aviators jacket,
one feathered pair to focus on flapping and a thinner pair to steer. His top wing is dressed in transparent feathers while his bottom set is equally transparent. He has spiky white hair often pushed down by a flying helmet with goggles (all made from natural materials). He was born naturally pale which earned him the nickname ghost.

Weapons: weapons aren't made small enough for practical fairy usage so he doesn't carry anything big. The weapons he does have are homemade from sharpened sticks or small rocks. His best weapon is a sharpened birch wood dagger that hurts like a bee sting.
He keeps a large arsenal of magic about him, most of which pertaining to illusion making.

Skills, Abilities, and Hobbies: Being a fairy Tink has the ability to fly which is pretty essential in being a messenger.
When flying though his magical energy is greatly decreased because his flight is powered from the same source. The electric blue aura he produces when flying is residue of the spent magical energy. There is litlle magical energy trapped inside his small body so the only form of magic he knows cost very little energy at all. Tink is skilled in crafting illusions of all shapes and sizes if he studies the subject enough. These illusions are increasingly realistic depending on how much energy he puts into them. The fatal flaw of his every illusion is that as soon as someone touches them they disappear. He is an expert in weather interpretation, as well as navigation to help make him a great navigator.
Tink doesn't have many hobbies to himself but he usually likes to participate in what he sees others doing. Though he comes off nosy and possibly pestersome he always does so with good intentions. During free time when no one needs help he finally retires to his own devices. He has challenged himself with making a pedal powered zeppelin though it still measures only about half the size of a large adult sleeping bag.

Personality: Tink is a people pleaser. It means everything to him to be in someone's favor and he never likes to have enemies. He understands that some people have to be enemies, Getsus for example, but he doesn't leave someone an enemy if he can help it. Next he takes his role as messenger very seriously. He is very responsible and will do everything possible to complete a task once he gives his word that he'll do it. His desire to stay on people's good side results in him being very gullible at the best of times.
History: When Getsus initially started to take over the IDD the fairies had no intention of joining. After all they that Getsus had no way of hurting them. The fairies were nomadic and whatever home they did have were far too remote or well hidden for Getsus to get to. And their ability to fly was far better than Getsus' Zeppelins. Most fairies already took great joy out of chaos so they actually enjoyed seeing the other races being destroyed.

Then came Leon Puck; the first fairy in their history to have even a scrap of morals. Leon couldn't stand to stand by as someone else caused chaos so he made his goal to stop getsus. At least from causing disorder, that was a fairy job. By being the only one with a problem he had a hard time finding people to join his cause. He was ridiculed for his morals until he came up with the idea to give them a demonstration of what it would be like if the destruction befell them. He moved on to one of their biggest cities and used his magic it make it look as if getus's forces were ransacking the city. The forces were all illusions but that did not stop the feeling being expressed through the entire species. He was banished for his actions but his thought's were unchanged. He decided that if he couldn't stop Getsus's chaos, he would just have to join him and make it worthy of a fairy. Leon led him to every fairy city, camp, and route until there was nothing left of the fairy civilization.

The fairies moved on to be little more than vermin in Getsus' paradise and struggled to survive. About fours years into the sentence they learned that Leon had a son; our Tinkerton Puck. No fairy had forgotten Leon's actions so they figured that it would a like-father-like-son scenario and were determined to stop it. They put magical barriers over the majority of Tink's magic so that he barely had enough to fly. Next they thought that Leon must have kept many of his most sinister emotions hidden so they in turn altered his glow (which was peculiar since they had long since lost their own) to express his every emotion. Lastly they had a mentor watching him constantly to at least try and keep him on track.

The mentor did his job and Tink grew up with morals stronger than his father but in a positive direction this time. He was kind, thoughtful, and intelligent but still he didn't seem to be accepted by the other fairies. he was judged sternly and punished far more severely than the other fairy children. He had to pester his mentor a lot before he finally admitted that they didn't want him to be like his father. That started the only time he had purposely done anything bad with the fairies. When he was meant to be sleeping he would practice illusions. He saw that if he was to denounce his father he would have to purify the art his father disgraced. Then he would sneak off and practice flying for increasing distances and heights. It was during one of these expeditions that he ran into a freedom fighter messenger who was carrying back an important message about Getsus' movements. The messenger was killed by his pursuers but not before he passed the message on to a shaken Tink. Tink was deciding what he should do with the message when he was met by his mentor and the rest of the fairy population. They of course jumped to the worst of conclusions and figured he had been working for Getsus and killed the messenger himself. Tink was sentenced to death by wing amputation; a slow, agonizing and greatly humiliating death. When the execution came, Tink went into a frenzy and created every fairy predator in a state of rage. Hawks, Pixies by the dozen, elementals (to name a few) succeeded in scaring everything senseless and helped Tink escape. Before leaving the fairies forever he vowed to every single one of them that he would be nothing like his father, that he would save them from their life as vermin, that he would re-glorify the art of illusions.

Tink continue to deliver the departed messenger's message to the freedom fighters along with many more.

So begins...

Destin took the Axe Reality's hand and shook it.

"It's nice to meet you...?"

"Destin Reeve, Thoughtformer and Warrior of a Thousand Swords. " He introduced himself, not to Axe, but to Tink, although he stared at the Axe Reality. He then blinked when he felt someone dabbing his nose with a handkerchief. It was Cassidy.

"Destin be more careful..I don't want you dying again because you over exerted yourself and your power." She told him with a sigh. She looked down after it was done "What am I going to do with you?" She asked in a somewhat playful serious tone.

"I guess I haven't fully recovered if I overexert myself by thoughforming." he muttered.

"Love him forever?" he heard the Sage say. Hearing that, Destin grasped his pocket, remembering something. He ignored the two as they proceeded to fight one another.

"I'm Tinkerton if case you didn't hear." Destin nodded to show he heard the boy. "What you did to my illusion was pretty cool......Do you think you could teach me to do that?"

Destin looked at Tink without blinking, "I would if I could...But I'm afraid not everyone can do it. Before I was the Chosen of Water...I was a Thought-former, and I think I was the only Thought-former alive. I could bring objects I think about to life. It's the Tulpa-effect. That's why I can make illusions a reality, create objects out of thin air...at least, I used to be able to do so without trouble."

"Tinkerton...do you have a piece of string? I'd like to use it to make a necklace." he asked, reaching into his pocket and pulling out the first item he thoughtformed into being after 50 years...Cassidy's Tear in crystal form. No one knew he had done this, and he didn't want anyone knowing.

"Tinkerton...do you have a piece of string? I'd like to use it to make a necklace." Destin asked. Tink cocked his head at the odd request and wondered what had inspired him to make a necklace. It most certainly wasn't the fight in front of him. Staking a glance at the fight he noticed Cassidy and realization hit him. Connor had mentioned a romance between them and despite Cassidy's reaction, Tink suspected there was truth to it.

"Be right back." Tink said before shooting off to his tent. As he rummaged through various chests, Tink thought about Destin had said about his trick. He hadn't understood some things like thoughtform or Tulpa-effect but he got the gist that Tink wouldn't be able to learn it. Tink had felt only a moment's disappointment about that but he still felt the same reason for asking. Even if it wasn't an illusion anymore, Tink still had his vow that he wouldn't use illusions to deceive anymore. Illusions were his trademark though. He had no idea how he would protect himself without them. Tink looked up and his features became determined. That just means I'll have to try even harder to become skilled at something else he thought with a slight smile.

But first things first. he thought finally locating a long enough string. He slung it over his shoulder and between his wings and flew back out to where Destin waited. "Here." he said as he handed the string to Destin. The battle had broken up since he got back and he saw Connor tending a bleeding nose. He fluttered over to see if he could help before stopping and wondering where Cassidy was. He should check both of their injuries and help whoever was hurt worst first. "Where's Cassidy?" He thought aloud before looking around for her.
He looked up in the tree she was in earlier but when that failed he checked the new structure. He landed at the entrance and shivered. Even if it was raised out of the ground he hated going underground. "Hello?" he called tentatively inside and heard Cassidy's voice in response. Tink breathed a breath of relief at finding her but noticed something wrong about her voice. It wasn't addressing him in particular and was instead caked in anger and fear. He ignored his dislike of the underground and charged into the cavern. With all her screaming it wasn't hard to find her and Tink had to stop himself from freezing at the sight of the nightmare. With his natural glow fighting any nightmare off his own, he knelt by Cassidy and desperately attempted to bring her back to reality.

Cassidy was still being chocked by the Destin illusion she was clawing at his hands using her fire to try and get him off her. In truth it was the nightmare choking her. The fire and her claws did not even phase him for each time she did this he just fed on her fear and healed instantly. She was crying and whimpering. She saw a twinge of light suddenly and it seemed to flicker quickly and she managed to speak to Tink. "You should calm your emotions hon." She told him hoarsely. It was then that it occurred to her that, that was Tink and if Tink existed this nightmare wasn't real. The nightmare seeing she was now waking up from the illusion squeezed her neck tighter. She glared up at him seeing through the illusion and her eyes glowed bright orange again. They glowed brighter and brighter as she activated her Eagle eyes seeing the nightmare and not Destin she grabbed his arms with her hands and fire erupted from her hands and then from there her whole body erupted to be on fire. She curled her lip in a snarl as the fire traveled from her body to the nightmares. The nightmare screamed in agony and then burst into ash her neck now released from his grasp. She fell to her knees the flames dying out and leaving her human body intact as it did. Her nose bled even more now and She gasped for air the sound she made as she did this was painful for one to hear and for her to make. She looked up at Tink her body now leaning against the wall again as she sat up. She lifted her head backwards her neck already bruising from where the nightmare gripped it she smiled at him. "Thanks...for...saving my...life......Tink." She told him in between painful gasps her nose was still bleeding and the red blood oozed from her nose now down to her neck before she fell over on her side unconscious exhausted from her excessive power use, she had begun to sleep, it was obvious she would be fine however. She was just tired.

Lust Asami Curtis

Lust had heard the girls cries and had come down to investigate. She had seen the whole thing her eyes wide as the girl fell unconscious she ran over to her examining her for any serious injuries or illnesses. She looked over the bruising on her neck and then at her ribcage and everything else. She looked her over examining her for what seemed like hours though it was only minutes. She then would sigh in relief finally after doing so. "Tink I need to use your tent." She told him and without permission She put the girls arm around her neck and hoisted her up to her feet. Cassidy was unresponsive but she managed to somewhat drag her over to the fairies tent seeing as it was the closest one to the fortress she didn't truly think Tink would mind and she would take full responsibility if he did. She used her powers to stretch to a bed at her tent and drag it behind her as she did this. She layed Cassidy on the small cot and began mixing potions to help the young lass. She put a cool compress on the girls neck to help the bruising and inflammation.

Cassidy Pyro SaintClaire

Cassidy stayed asleep as this went on murmuring Destins name as well as a few others choice words at the nightmare and other enemies in her slumber.

[[yep no more dramaticness after this...>.> it is kinda annoying now XD sorry guys ]]

"You should calm your emotions hon." Cassidy told him hoarsely. The comment slightly confused Tink but he kept jostling her as best he could. If anything she should calm her emotions but he would hardly tell her that. Besides if she noticed him it just meant she was breaking from the illusion. He looked up at her face now as he kept shaking a smile growing as her eyes brightened. He kept staring at her flaming eyes until he felt her skin heating up beneath his hands. He looked down and saw the that her entire was catching fire. His eyes widened and he backtracked into the air quick enough to not get burned. Still he was shaking his hands to relieve any of the heat that had gotten to him.

Snarling and being fully engulfed in flames she was almost scary to watch like this. If he wasn't so transfixed by the flames he would have shielded his eyes. When she was done and the nightmare was no more than ashes did he look away. In the entire war he hadn't been this close to a death and still he had no desire to. He was still a pacifist after all.
"Thanks...for...saving my...life......Tink." He looked down at her and returned her smile.
"Anytime." he responded though the extent of her injuries were now becoming apparent to him. He knew she was tough enough to overcome them but they still worried him. He was thankful when Lust came in and made sure she knew it also. She may have been ignoring him but yet again it was the thought that counts.

"Tink I need to use your tent." She told him acknowledging him for the first time since entering.
"No problem." Tink said though she was already on her way there when he said. It was a fine assumption as he would hardly ever said no to the needy. He followed them out of the fortress but instead of going to his tent went to where Axe stood. The reality was just standing where he left him staring as if the fight was still going on. Time to do some leader stuff I guess.

Destin took the string from Tink and looped it into the hole of the crystal teardrop before tying it around his neck. It was starting to rain, he looked up at the sky just in time to catch a droplet of water with his fingers. The water droplet seemed to bounce between his fingers instead of just breaking and washing away. Destin was getting to know his capabilities. His manipulation was easy, it was no different than thoughtforming. But manipulating alot of them was a different story, as Destin tried to lift about a bottle's worth of water only for it to slowly splash back down. Destin made himself impervious to rain and walked towards the tent where Lust had brought Cassidy to.

"...How is she? Can I see her?" he asked, looking at Cassidy, then looking at Lust.

"Uh..." he was stuck for a while, he didn't know the lady's name.

Tinkerton started by sending Axe to various parts of the camp to supposedly supervise how things were going, starting with the kitchen. He sent Axe in a few moments ahead of himself because he knew it would seem weird if they came in together. He heard the room silence as Axe walked in and Tink tightened his fist. Was he making a wrong decision coming here? Were they silent because they were still surprised to see Axe or just seeing him here? Did Axe not usually come here? were the questions he asked himself. He left them unanswered and started Axe with a conversation with the head cook. He asked only questions that he thought Axe would ask. How was dinner coming along, were the resources flowing steady from inside the city and other questions like that. He didn't know how Axe usually reacted during these things so he just guessed that Axe would at least appear interested.
He was in the middle of making Axe respond to something about needing more spices, when he was interrupted by a voice from behind.

"Hey, Tink." Tink jumped up from where he sat before turning to look at the voices owner. It was Dodge Hanson, one of people who brought fresh supplies and also one of Tink's best friends. He was dressed in a hunting outfit and carrying fresh meat in both hands. He had a bow and empty quiver at his back.
"Oh, Dodge you scared me."
"That's no surprise."
"So do you think you could get on that."
What he thought before he realised he was still picking up on Axe's conversation.
"I'll keep it in mind." Axe said
"So hear any good gossip lately." Dodge asked.
"Thank you Axe." the chef said
"Well there's the news that Axe-" Tink stopped himself to make Axe respond. "-has come back."
This is confusing Tink thought. It seemed that the chef was done talking so Tink made Axe turned to leave only for him to be confronted by someone else. Tink groaned audibly and Dodge seemed to notice.
"Something wrong, Tink?" asked Dodge
"Is it true that you were captured by Getsus?" asked the nymph confronting Axe.
"Of course not. I feel great." Tink lied and his glow became black because of it.
"That story was exaggerated." said Axe
"Tink, you suck at lying." said Dodge
"Oh...Could you tell it for me." said the nymph.
"I have a lot of things on my mind right now." Tink and Axe said together.
Confusing and complicated Tink thought I need to get out of this.
Carefully so he didn't hurt him Axe pushed the nymph beside him. Then Axe walked confidently out of the tent and upon seeing him said hello to Dodge.
As Dodge turned around to return the greeting Tink flew off to Axe's tent. The reality arrived shortly after and sat down at a table with unfinished battle plans on it. He set the Axe mindlessly looking them over as he collapsed on the first chair he found. This is going to be difficult.

Kya

"Almost there....." Kya felt like she couldn't feel her ankles anymore, but she kept on going. The wooden wall was just up ahead. With one last stride, she blew a gust of wind as hard as she could, that she flew over the wall. She felt as though she was getting used to her wind powers now, and she was capable of producing stronger blasts of air. As soon as her feet touched the ground of the camp, she made as much attention as she possibly could.

"I NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION!!!" she yelled, hoping the lady from before would hear her. Not waiting for an answer, she looked inside the tents. Luckily, Lust was in the first tent she searched.

"Miss, i'm sorry to bother you, but we have an emergency!" Kya helped Ancel on to one of the unoccupied beds in the tent. Quickly glancing behind her, Kya could see Cassidy on another one of the beds. Something wasn't right here.

"He's hurt," Kya said, frantically ripping the yellow ribbon from off of his chest. The blatant red stains were quite petrifying. "He got attacked in the woods by someone, or something....I got there to find someone tending to his wounds, but the help wasn't enough....he's losing blood fast...please, won't you help him? Unfortunately i can't stay here, i have to tell the others something important..." Before exiting the tent, Kya placed Ancel's photograph right by the edge of the bed. She looked back at him one last time, and quickly made her way to the center of the camp.

"FREEDOM FIGHTERS! PLEASE HEED MY WORDS! I SPEAK OF EVENTS THAT HAVE HAPPENED AND THAT MAY AID TO YOUR PURSUING IN THE EVIL MAN WHO HAS CONQUERED THIS WORLD!!!"
Some of the creatures actually stopped and stared. It felt weird drawing so much attention to herself, but Kya knew it was necessary just in case the soldiers or the strange thing that attacked Ancel decided to raid the village.
"Just a while ago, i met a man in the woods and decided to travel with him. We talked, and when we parted our seperate ways, i heard a gunshot from behind me. I investigated, and found a whole troop of the enemy's soldiers. They have strategically set up a blockade that has seperated this part of the woods from the other. They hide on the side of the woods and in the middle of the wall, like it is a fort." Kya could see some faces turn white. Other faces looked bewildered, and others determined. She kept her voice firm as she continued to speak. "And unfortunately, they have discovered the technology to make this blockade invisible, that way, victims aren't aware of their prescence. I don't know how many people they've slaughtered, but no matter how many they've affected, the situation is critical. I know this sounds ludicrous, but i swear, i've seen it with my own eyes, and if you believe me, i can prove it. Believe it or not, there are also strange attackers lurking in the woods. They have already pursued my friend. I think that these soldiers in the woods must be hiding something, because if they don't get their prey, these strange attackers do. Furthermore, although i am not the leader here, i think that this blockade is crucial if we want to continue further into the dimension. I wish to speak to someone in charge about this."
Kya stood tall and strong on the ground, glancing around waiting for someone to speak.

The girl from before had spoke, but no one was speaking. Ruya finally spoke up, as loud as she could.

"...The strange attackers from the shadows are approaching us." She said, finally. Some of the people around her turned. "...Because I have lead them here," She continued, ignoring the looks she was getting. "...Unfortunately I am unable to fight them off on my own. I sought the Freedom Fighters, which apparently you are, but without leadership..." She paused. "...I might've lead those creatures here." Ruya said, gripping her bow. "...But I have a plan to defeat them. To do that... I need the help of everyone here. They'll surround us. They'll try to make us give into fear." She paused, her ears drooping. She realized how exhausted she was from just listening and running for the entire day. She'd barely taken any shots... And so can I really say I can defeat them...? She wondered. Yes... I can. "Those creatures, they retreat when they're wounded. They gather allies and wait in the shadows for people to separate. They are so quiet I can't hear them... so quick I can barely out run them. But if we had some skilled melee fighters backed up by ranged fighters..." She frowned slightly. "Two small groups who attack the shadows that we lure into our presence..." She looked around. "It's possible not only to kill them... but perhaps to capture them. Back in Ghestus' Paradise, I've only heard of these things. I hear they have an allergy to the rays of the sun. It may be possible to kill them with something sun-kissed...? We should experiment." Ruya paused, looking up at the girl. "...The fort that you saw in the forest must come second to securing the base, shouldn't it? Especially if we risk being attacked every time we leave... Unless..." Ruya crossed her arms, thoughtful. "...You are insinuating that the two are the same enemy-- that the men in fort are sided with our shadowy attackers...?"

Dodge Hanson
Dodge shrugged. " No reason really. I suppose that I have to come back every now and then, if only to remind myself I'm a freedom fighter. Besides Tink needs to be around someone his own age. Speaking of which." Dodge got up from where he kneeled and prepared to go.

He turned to the door when it abruptly flew open. In came a girl carrying a boy who lay unconscious in her arms.
"Miss, i'm sorry to bother you, but we have an emergency!" she said and without waiting for an answer placed him onto one of the beds. "That's my bed." Dodge said, succumbing to the selfish thought. He was about to ask about it but she beat him to it.

"He's hurt," The girl said, frantically ripping a yellow ribbon from off the boy's chest. Dodge grimaced at the blood that was now revealed. "He got attacked in the woods by someone, or something....I got there to find someone tending to his wounds, but the help wasn't enough....he's losing blood fast...please, won't you help him? Unfortunately I can't stay here, I have to tell the others something important..."

It seemed rather strange that she would drop him here and then rush off. It was obvious from her voice that she cared for him a lot and wouldn't leave unless something was very important. He almost wanted to go and see what it was but thought he would be more useful here. He watched the door for a moment before going to Lust and asking what he could do to help.

Tinkerton Puck
Tink's firework stopped mid-explosion as he heard the yelling from outside. He had found that if he just left the reality with a task it would continue with that while he did other things. He was contenting himself with making these fireworks as he lay on his back. Though Axe was putting on the great semblance of avidly reviewing these plans, Tink had no idea if anything was -or even could be- going on inside his head.

Tink let the firework fade and flew over to the tent entrance to inspect what was going on outside. The reality got up behind him but with a wave of his hand Tink sat him back down. Tink opened his door and almost flew straight into a large mass of fur. Tink back-tracked quickly and looked up at the bear that was now scowling at him. Tink apologized and with a grunt the bear turned back to the person speaking. Tink flew up until he could hover above their heads and listen to the speakers.

"-to make this blockade invisible, that way, victims aren't aware of their prescence.

Axe is in charge..... but if i'm controlling Axe....I guess that puts.... oh dear I'm in charge!? Tink had to stop himself from falling straight down and slowly glided back inside his tent. Once there his nerves burst and he fluttered frantically around the tent. "I'm in charge. I'm in charge. I'm in charge. I'm in charge."He repeated though he couldn't force himself to believe it. In retrospect he should have thought that impersonating the leader meant he would have have decisions but the idea was no less scary. He was a follower not a leader. And at that he knew nothing about making military decisions; he was a pacifist! Tink stopped his fluttering and landed on the table with his head in his hands. Oh dear he muttered again before looking up at the reality. It was every bit as inspiring as the real thing. I may not be a leader, but they expect him to be. "Oh I envy Dodge's acting right about now." he whimpered before collecting himself. The reality as if sensing Tink's decision finally got up from his spot and prepared to leave.

Axe burst through the tent flap and after counting to five followed. Ruya had started speaking now about how they should combat some kind of creature. Tink didn't yet feel that he could add anything to the dialogue so Tink had him stay back with his arms crossed. Tink flew up and settled on the top of Axe's tent, far enough not to be seen but close enough to hear most of what was being said.

Kya

Kya nodded as the woman appeared again, explaining that dark creatures of shadow were about to surround the campsite. Kya bit her lip in anguish. With two of the strongest, Ancel and Cassidy down, this would be challenging. Kya herself didn't know whether or not she was up to it. She had spent most of the day running. She didn't know if she could push herself any harder.

As Ruya finished speaking, she took note of the last thing she said, "...You are insinuating that the two are the same enemy-- that the men in fort are sided with our shadowy attackers...?" Kya scratched the back of her head in thought. There could have been a possibility that the shadow creatures and the men had no affiliation.
".... I may be crazy, but perhaps the men at the fort strategically placed the wall in a place with attackers, that way nobody would bother to wonder into the woods in the first place. Would that make sense?" More thoughts poured out of Kya's head as she spoke, "I mean if they followed Ancel, who's a human, and then followed you, maybe they aren't on any side. If what you said is correct, that if we can capture these things, maybe we won't even have to fight as much as we think we need to. Maybe we can kill two birds in one stone..."

She looked at the Ancel illusion next to her. She didn't know who he was, but she spoke to him anyway.
"We would need something bright, and then we would need something to trap them with...I would say Cassidy, but she's knocked out..."

Lust Asami Curtis

Lust lifted the bandages for a instant then covered them again. The scent of blood was heavy on the air. She looked at the lass who was now awake her face pale as she looked at the young male who wounded.

Cassidy Pyro SaintClaire

Cassidy had awoken with a start at the scent of blood. She had jumped up from her cot and it was then that she saw Ancel. Her face drained of it's color as she slowly stood up and walked to his side she took lust's hand and lifted them for a moment to see the wounds and the damage they inflicted and then recoiled and flinched away at the sight of them. The female then would put her hands back over the wound. Cassidy's anguish turned to rage and her eyes glowed orange to reflect this. She took Ancel's hand and rested her forehead on on them. "I'll find who did this to you. I will find them Ancel...this I promise...And I'll see you when I get back." She said making him know she knew he would survive this ordeal and with that she removed a necklace from her neck. The necklace was silver chain with 2 dragons circling a green stone. It was cool to the touch but when around certain people it would warm up a bit and glow different colors, engraved on one side of the stone was 7 letters which spelled out one word 'Courage' and on the other side 4 letters were engraved that spelled out 'Hope', and then on another side. The dragons were crafted from cold, with ruby red eyes and they held great detail in there design, there mouths were closed and at the top of the crystal the dragons necks were resting on each others shoulders like a hug. She put the necklace around his neck and with that she turned and walked away. She saw Kya and then she saw another being who looked like a bunny...no that's not it. A kangaroo? Yeah that's the animal with Tink, and beside him--- She shook her head telling herself they had a good reason for this horrible display. "Whatever your planning I want in." She said clearing not in the mood. Her eyes continued to glow and swirl about in a mix of anger and pain. "Where is Destin?" She asks them.

The girl in yellow had brought up something intriguing. "...That is a curious thought." Ruya agreed. "...To mask themselves, they hide in a place filled with attackers. Attackers they know to be devastating." She tapped her chin. "...It's a double edged sword." She said, shaking her head. "...And I can see why they might do that. Those soldiers can be replenished often. There are very many off them...in Paradise."

...the technology for an invisible wall exists as well... as long as you're in Paradise. Ruya reminded herself. Which means this is an effort to extinguish the Freedom Fighters for sure. I don't know much about life out here, but at the very least my knowledge of inside should be of some help. Still... the invisible wall isn't used often enough that I know a way around it.

The girl in yellow was speaking again. "If what you said is correct, that if we can capture these things, maybe we won't even have to fight as much as we think we need to. Maybe we can kill two birds in one stone..." She looked at the man from before-- Ruya blinked in surprise.

"...He's better already...?" She muttered to herself. That is impossible. The man was bleeding out. That-- no. It must be a hallucination... or an illusion... I'm just tired. The girl was saying something that Ruya completely missed because she was busy being shocked. Ruya decided it was best to plow on as though she weren't hallucinating. She'd deal with the fact that she was apparently in the presence of an apparition.

"...Capturing them is a faint possibility at best." Ruya explained. "...But as long as the possibility exists, we ought to try. The issue here is the weakness..." She tipped her head. "...Sun-kissed things, things that have been blessed with fire, that might kill them. Capture, though..." Ruya frowned, her mind jumping to the task of creating a plan. She had a theory... Considering the way they'd attacked, those dark creatures most likely circled their victims. If there was one person who could evade the creatures enough... perhaps a ring of fire could "capture" the creatures. But it doesn't have to be fire. Ruya thought. Creatures of the night only fear light. So what we need is for someone to build the means to create light and position people in the woods with mirrors. With two of these means of creating light and about four mirrors... we could make a light perimeter that the creatures can't pass. And with that... we have captured one. That is, if these things are weak to light, I cannot be sure of this without a test. And if I do this, surely people will perish when I am wrong...

Suddenly her mind paused on how the girl had spoke of the dark creatures. Strange attackers...? "Considering that you speak as though they hadn't existed before... do you think their appearance is not... random? Perhaps... perhaps they appeared because of the current weather?" She motioned to the overcast sky. "...Do you think, perhaps, that the rainy overcast weather might have been cause for their appearance...?" That was bad. If that was the case, capturing them was of no consequence. Would the creature die in the sunlight? Would it resurrect when the weather was bad again? If these things can't be captured in a cage, then we'll have many, many enemies. They say the enemy of my enemy is my friend, but this is the first time I've ever been the person at the other end of that saying.

Before Ruya could get a response from the girl in yellow, a woman left a nearby tent and marched over to the group. "Whatever you're planning, I want in. Where is Destin?"

Ruya recalled her as the woman from before, the one who had come and gone in minutes, and frowned. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread, right? She thought. The woman was clearly in pain... angry, upset. There was no way they could use her right now. Ruya had learned that people who were ruled by their emotions were weak... she'd learned that the hard way. However, though Ruya had no patience for weakness, her mind reminded her of the current situation. They'd just gotten an injured man back... and now a woman was angry? So then it was possible that the woman was upset of the man before. Ruya felt her ears droop. Were they more than friends? No wonder the woman was upset. Perhaps it isn't weakness that pervades her, but sorrow? Ruya thought. But that emotional attachment is going to make her hard to control. The pieces in this game must operate as I'm thinking or I doubt we'll be able to capture these creatures. She observed the woman again, frowning. I understand she is strong willed... but that could be our downfall right now. I need someone who will listen to orders. In this state of mind, she is bound to stray. Then, Ruya caught herself. ...I am not the leader. I have no right assuming that this woman cannot help... She shook her head. "...Who is the leader?" She asked, finally. "...I need to talk to the Leader of the Freedom Fighters."

(OOC: I don't know where the Ancel illusion was created. Was it supposed to be Axe? I referred to the illusion as Ancel anyway, but... I'm not sure if that's right. I'll edit it after if I'm wrong.)

//Yea i have no idea either >< im just kinda going with it .-.

Cassidy Pyro SaintClaire

Cassidy took no heed of the kangaroo's words "Okay, Listen toots, Just because I'm angry doesn't mean I'm not capable of handling my self against opponents. And the way I see it you have only two options here: One, You let me go with you and do what my purpose on this land is. Or two: I go anyways and do what my purpose on this land is. So either way your stuck with me. Get used to it." She told her. It was true she was mad but her logic was flawed. Before every battle Cassidy had some reason to be pissed or hurt about. War is always a emotional time. Hell, She worked better under pressure. She was always calm under fire. It was just her way of doing things. Not to mention there was this little thing called: Self Control and if you had that you were good. She would have smacked the rabbit were it not a waste of time. She saw her actions and words as the greatest form of disrespect there was available. Assumption based attitudes were always a good way to piss her off. "You don't know me toots so don't assume you could even begin to understand me. I've fought in wars your grandpape fought in. I've watched good men die on a battle more times then I could count. Ive watched as armies trembled and fall to there knees at the very sight of me. I've watched good men be tortured and then burned alivejust because they knew me. And Ive seen armies crumble and die by my armies hands. I've watched as men died and armies fell. And-- " She turned away her eyes stopped glowing " Ive watched the man I love, explode into pieces before my very eyes." This was the first time she admitted her feelings for Destin to be love. She would pause a few moments then shake her head and look back at the girl "Pain and anger are nothing compared to that. Anger and pain are nothing compared to whats to come if we do not get this ordeal over and done with. Ive watched this world, watched it grow, watched it die. I think I know how to fight and how to calm down and put aside my emotions before a battle. But thanks for the thought." She said now calming down. No hint of anger or rage could be seen any longer obviously proving her point. "Now again, where is Destin and what is the plan?" She asked them, her tone back to normal.

((OOC: No, it should be an Axe illusion. Tink hasn't even met Ancel to begin thinking of making an illusion of him. I don't know how it changed either. Typo perhaps? The names are similar.))
Dodge Hanson
Dodge nodded and turned around in search of the bag. "Med Kit, Med Kit." He muttered as his eyes scanned the tent. Gotcha he whispered as he spotted and took the kit from beside the unconscious dame. As his fingers wrapped around the strap, he noticed the girl stir slightly. She'll be up soon he thought before hastily bringing the bag to Lust's side. As soon as it was beside her she went to work mending the boys injuries. Dodge watched over her shoulder as she worked diligently worked. While Lust worked on healing this man, Dodge began to wonder what this man had done to get injured so bad. It wasn't like anything he had ever encountered.
"What was that?" Dodge asked after hearing Lust whisper something.

Tinkerton Puck
The illusion stood there mostly apathetic as the rest of them discussed. He turned to someone when they were speaking but other than that he was motionless. Tink shifted uneasily. The real Axe would have said something by now, something to at least shift conversation. He tried to speak out several times but as soon as he made up his mind to speak, someone else would take the chance.
"Now again, where is Destin and what is the plan?" Cassidy said. Tink jumped at the chance to get Axe into the conversation.
"I believe I can help you. Axe, Leader of the freedom fighters." Axe said as he walked to them. Instinctively Axe was about to raise his hand for a handshake but Tink mentally slapped it down. "Axe doesn't do that." he scolded. Tink continued.
"Now if we could just come this way to my tent, we can come up with a plan." Quieter he added. "Away from prying eyes." Personally Tink didn't mistrust any of the freedom fighters but he knew that was probably something that concerned leaders.

Kya

"Now again, where is Destin and what is the plan?" Cassidy said, calming down. From far away, Kya, an accomplished and boastful look on her face, shouted to Cassidy, Ruya, and illusion Axe. "THE PLAN IS THAT WE FIND DESTIN!!! First plan's been TAKEN CARE OF!!"
she said, triumphantly holding up a shiny blue crystal. This was the same crystal that was the key to her chamber.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What Kya was doing during Cassidy's rant to Ruya....

As soon as Cassidy raged her emotions out to the lady, Kya noticed something dark and peculiar near a campsite wall behind them. Black shadowy creatures were forming. Immediately, she knew they were the creatures the kagaroo-lady was talking about. They weren't too far behind; she knew that they were planning a secret attack when everyone was least expecting it. Kya wanted to let Cassidy know, but with all her thoughts pouring out into Ruya's face, she knew it wouldn't be much use getting the hot-headed woman's attention. She had to do this by herself.

Rushing over to the scene with a gust of wind, Kya blew herself to the spot where she could see the shadows. Thinking quickly, she pulled out the matchbox she received in her chamber, and hit one of the matches against the box. The monsters were starting to form from the shadows, and they gathered around her. With a deep breath, she put the lighted match on her mouth, and released it, blowing the fire into the creatures' faces. With her wind powers, blowing on the fire made it fly almost everywhere. (fire eating and breathing were tricks she had learned from the circus) She was sure the monsters had retreated, but in fact, they had quickly gathered allies, as the lady had said. Kya trembled in fear, and fell. She dropped her knapsack, and its contents fell across the ground. The creatures circled around her, and she closed her eyes tightly, knowing the end was nigh. However, for some coincidental and absolutely lucky reason, the dark clouds shifted their places, revealing partial sunset. Once the tiniest bit of sunshine struck the earth, the blue crystal on the ground levitated and glowed with an illuminating light. Instantly, the creatures around her were sucked into the crystal, like it was some high-powered vacuum. Once the darkness was gone, the rock fell back down to the ground, motionless.

Astonished, Kya crawled to the crystal, and curiously picked it up. This was the 'key' that had opened her chamber door. She took a careful look at the inscription, and in realization, her jaw dropped. She picked herself up, and twirled in pure joy, the wind blowing around her. She danced and strutted back to Ruya and Cassidy.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After illusion Axe's talk with the two, Kya strutted between them. "I ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING!!!" she exclaimed in pride. "They're all trapped in this stone. I never realized it, but this whole time, I was carrying a SUNLIGHT STONE!!! The funny thing is, I used to make these! Y'know, fifty years ago when everything wasn't so topsy turvy. It draws its powers from the sunlight! Back in the day, those nightmares were rare-o. I used to catch them with my friends! Kinda like a rat exterminator, only without the poison....Anyway, since the stones draw power from light, they sucked the dark nightmare creatures right up!" She tossed the rock up high and caught it in the palm of her hand. "This one's special because it has an inscription on it. Looky here! It says, 'chosen one of air and flight, may this tool grant you the power of light'! Pretty neat, huh? It's in Nekosian, a language i used to speak! It explains why this opened my chamber door. When i connected it with the other stone, it opened the door and let in the sunlight! I guess the nightmares kinda just repopulated in the wild when you-know-who took over the IDD..."

Kya balanced the stone on top of Ruya's head, her way of saying 'thank-you' to people. "Now that those monsters are taken care of, we can plan other things! I suggest we don't take out those men at the wall until early morning, just seconds before sunrise. That way, the nightmares will be at full power in the dark, and then, when they try to attack us, the sun will pop out, and they'll be trapped. So now that we have time to get ourselves together," Kya pointed sharply at Cassidy, "You go find Destin and rest up, young lady! We're gonna need you in battle, just in case!!" then she pointed to Ruya, "make sure everyone in this camp is ready to fight tonight! Everyone needs to be well rested! Also, i gave you the stone, so you know what to do if the nightmares come back. I doubt they will, but just in case!" then she pointed to illusion Axe with a cheesy smile, "and you! i don't know who you are!! Well, you've been standing here the whole time, so spread the word! THE FREEDOM FIGHTERS SHALL HAVE VICTORY!!!" She then put one elbow on Ruya's shoulder, and the other on Cassidy's. "Hate to tell anyone's job around here, but you two tough girlies better get your heads in the game! I JUST DID SOMETHING RIGHT!!!" she squealed with excitement. "Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go see how my friend is doin! You two can join me if you like!" and with that, she skipped off to Ancel's tent.

Kya

Sunset was starting to turn into night, and the air-chosen one decided to check on her hospitalized friend. Kya took a deep breath, hoping that Ancel wasn't dead, and slowly peeked into the tent. Lust was there, working her medical magic on Ancel's chest. She breathed a sigh of relief. If she was still working on him, he wasn't dead yet. Would he be alright for the battle in the morning? She'd have to wait and see. If not, there would probably be more running in the future.

As Lust rested on the table, Kya entered, and looked down upon the bandaged earth-choosen one. Around his neck was a glowing necklace that spelled out 'hope' and on the other side, 'courage'. With further inspection, Kya realized it was one of Cassidy's necklaces. She must have placed it around his neck before she went off to see her and Ruya. She touched the glowing gemstone and sighed. It was her who should be giving Ancel gifts, not Cassidy. Kya was the one who almost got Ancel murdered in the first place. She was expecting him to be very angry at her.

She turned her head to Lust, a worried look in her eyes. "Is he going to be okay?" she asked. "We're going to travel early in the morning, do you think he will be alright then?"

Titan

A big centaur walked through the camp, his teal stripes shining through the last remaining bits of sunset. He was helping the others light the torches around the campsite, when he saw his friend, Artaxes Cleave, standing there unoccupied. With the torch in his hand, Titan trotted over to his friend. Little did he know that his trusted leader and friend was merely an illusion, and was really being questioned at one of Getsus's prisons. Little did he know that he was the last original member remaining in the camp. The rest had been killed, captured, or lost in action.

"So, i guess that girl's upstaged you, eh Axe?" he said in his booming voice, a playful smirk across his face. "She just kind of told you what to do. I would say that was very rude of her, but her plan was rather smart, so i have to give her SOME credit."
Titan looked upon the torch in his hand. The fire reminded him of the flames he used to craft swords, spears, and axes. He found the fire spiritual. Fire could be used in good, bad, or the inbetween. It was never just one side.
"I might as well cook tonight, Axe, apparently rumor has it that Lust's been working on someone in her tent. Don't think she wants to cook after all she's been through."

"So, the choosen ones are finally here, huh?" he said, crossing his arms. "Finally. I think i actually recognize them all. The two men like somewhat familiar, the warrior woman i think was with me in the army, and i believe the yellow one was a dreamcatcher along with the nekos. Kya.......Anderson? I think that's her name. I don't know if...."
Titan stopped in mid-sentence by the sight of the blue gem Kya had from before lying on the ground, unguarded. He bent over, picked it up, and shook his head to Axe. "Whoever has this should take much better care of it." he said, holding it in his other hand.

Lust Asami Curtis

Lust looked at Kya seeing the pain and grief in her eyes she walked to her. "He will need rest tomorrow is a bit to soon even for my alchemy and potions. But I will do my best to have him in top condition so he can at least travel." She looked at her and sighed. "Do not blame yourself Kya Anderson Of Air. You could not be expected to have known the outcome of this situation. He seems at peace with this situation. In the end he protected a pretty girl from a monster after all." She smiles and puts some of her hair behind her ear in a motherly fashion. "I saw you looking at the dragon necklace. 'Hope and Courage'..seems to have meaning behind it..Would you like me to help you fashion a gift for him too?" She asks her.

Cassidy Pyro SaintClaire

Cassidy smiled leaning her head against his forehead she was content as well.
"Love and Life..." he murmured, "...I'd give my life to save you. I want you to know that." She opened her eyes and smiled it was of corse a more sad smile. Pathetic smile really. "Cliche isn't our style." She half jokes but her voice cracked and she kissed his lips. She looked into his eyes her hand caressing his cheek. "And besides you cant save the girl who saved you." She looked into his eyes for a few more minutes silently before she went on. "When you died on the battle field. I was in ruins. Angered and loosing my mind with grief and rage. I no longer felt I should live on. I killed not only you but our men too. I was to trusting of our recruits and I let my guard down. I fell into there trap led you all to your deaths because I became to weak to decipher my real soldiers from a undercover spy for Getsus army. And I took his word for where the enemy was located. It was my fault and I knew it. So I lived my life in battle. I went to the people who killed you and one by one I took them down. There screams of agony would pierce through the night and there blood would stain my pathway. I lost myself in my need for revenge...and then they found me. Alone so much hatred in my heart and the need for revenge still heavy on my mind. They looked at me and told me I was needed to save this world. I laughed at them. I was still so angry at the world. But they found my journal and they showed me the picture of you and me smiling. It was beautiful and I remembered the reason I joined the army. I remembered why I was alive and why I was here. Because of you. I lived because you shielded me from a bullet but in the process....you Stepped on a landmine and blew yourself up..I remembered how much I loved you. And the anger and need for revenge turned to agonizing pain and guilt. They took me to some place and all I did was cry. I refused to eat, to move. The girl with the 'Will Of Fire' had died with the man she loved on the battlefield. I was dead. They realized I guess that I was of no use to them so they proposed a deal with me. A life for a life." She smiled. It was a real smile. A smile of happiness and love a smile of pride for what she did. "When this battle ends...and Getsus is defeated..the magic that holds my life intact will ripple and then it will break and I will be no more..I should not be here even now..I died on earth many many years ago at the age of 29..I caught a fever a great sickness that took my life...I live to die at the right time...it's the agreement I have with the Sages. And I don't regret the choice I made because....I get to see you again. And you will have a life and happiness. My only regret is..that I wont get to be there to see it. I cannot bear you a child or marry you. But this is enough." She assured him happily.

Connor Pyrogen

Connor Conner walked back into the campsite with a determined expression, his eyes held grief and sadness he had been walking around the whole area and snuck into Getsus city exploring it from the shadows to draw a updated map of the area around the city and the woods. He also was trying to find Piper and Axe so he could save them. He failed in his mission. Feeling ill about the situation. He saw Cassidy and Destin having a very intimate moment and decided to allow her the chance to do this. He explored the campsite where he saw Axe, Tink, and Titan. He sighed knowing that this Axe was nothing but a illusion. It made him feel even worse about the situation. He walked to Tink's tent and saw Ancel in stitches, Lust with blood covering her shirt, Kya with a depressed look and his heart dropped. He ran to them in a panic so upset he couldn't even talk correctly he just screamed out incoherent things that made no sense.

Dodge Hanson
Dodge nodded at her answer but otherwise remained unresponsive. It may have been selfish but he began to think of how this implemented him. This guy barely survived an encounter and he was older than Dodge. Not to mention better armed. Dodge shifted to the side to think until he saw another women come in. It was becoming too crowded in here for his liking. While Lust and the new girl started their conversation, Dodge moved out the tent doors.
Okay now I'll find Tink he thought ready to return to his origional task. He searched and quickly saw Tink lying atop Axe's tent. "Still around Axe I see." he murmered when he followed Tink's gaze to Axe. If it's an illusion that is. He couldn't really confront Tink about the illusion if it wasn't one. The amount of time he spent around Axe recently was peculiar but then again this illusion seemed more substantial than usual. He would stand and watch from here until he was sure.

Tinkerton Puck
Tink was taken back when the girl came and gave everyone orders. Would Axe have just taken orders from a stranger without question? He thought back to how Axe reacted when he brought Axe into the camp. He seemed fine after he learned she was one of the Chosen ones but then again, Cassidy didn't give any orders. Either way Tink had to be grateful that she had spoken up. After getting everyone into his tent he didn't have a plan.
Contrary to his nature he was second-guessing his order. She had told Axe to go and spread the word that they were going to win but perhaps it was too early to predict that. What was planned for tonight would be their first big act of rebellion. Before now it had been raids, sabotage or occasionally a battle but never anything this big. Reasons not to spread the word stacked up in his mind until he eventually decided that he'd ignore the order. The thought sent a shiver down his spine.

"So, i guess that girl's upstaged you, eh Axe?" came a booming voice. Tink turned and was surprised by the centaur. Not so much by the centaur in general, for he had encountered a few in his travels, but this was one he didn't know. Perhaps he doesn't belong here Tink tried but the playful smirk across it's face told a different story. I can't believe theres a entire being at the camp that I haven't helped at all. Calm down, maybe he only comes every now and then like Dodge. Still Tink had met Dodge swiftly after arriving. Also in the playful way that ths centaur said that suggested that he and Axe were close friends. Tink didn't have any idea that Axe friends beside himself. Axe had always seemed very solitary and stoic to him, not the type that made friends eaasily. Just how close were they then? If they were very close then surely he would see through the ruse as soon as Axe opened his mouth. Tink then wouldn't want to be the focus of the centaur's anger as he searched for his friend. But then if the were mere acquaintances the situation was less dire.
"She just kind of told you what to do. I would say that was very rude of her, but her plan was rather smart, so i have to give her SOME credit." the centaur said to fill in the silence. Perhaps he took Axe's silence as hurt pride?

"Yes it was. We're lucky to have such a good strategist with us." Urgh. Why did I say that. Saying "We're lucky to have such a good strategist with us" suggested that there wasn't already a good strategist here. Which in turn undermined Axe's own skills.
Think before you make other's speak, Tink.
"I might as well cook tonight, Axe, apparently rumor has it that Lust's been working on someone in her tent. Don't think she wants to cook after all she's been through."
"Oh really. Who?" Tink had started Axe to help with setting up while he pondered this rumor. They couldn't possibly be talking about Cassidy still, for she had left some time again. But if not Cassidy who else had Lust invited into his tent. It always annoyed him when people exploit his kindness because they knew he would do nothing about. Now was no exception and the annoyance soon faded.
I don't know if...." Axe nodded as he continued with the work. Tink had to say that he was far more productive when he had a human sized body. It was almost enjoyable.
"Whoever has this should take much better care of it." Tink squinted hard to see the small object held in the centaur's hand. That must be the Sunlight stone Kya was talking about. If it really did feed on sunlight, then maybe it could be modified to feed on his own light.
"I remember seeing Kya drop that before she left. I should be able to get it back to her if you hand it to me." Axe said extending his hand to receive it. Tink's own hands clenched the tent in anticipation.

Titan

"I remember seeing Kya drop that before she left. I should be able to get it back to her if you hand it to me."
The illusion Axe extended his arm to receive the stone. Without hesitation, Titan placed the blue gem in his hand. "Alright, Axe. Just be careful with it. It's more important than you think. Oh, and by the way, sorry to cut you off earlier. I think the earth-choosen one is the one hurt. I don't know his name, but i think it's somewhat similar to yours..."

He finished lighting the last of the lanterns in the camp. It was dusk by the time him and illusion Axe finished. He sighed, and started to walk over to a pile of firewood, the torch in his hand still lit.
"Alright, Axe, i'm going to cook now. I'll see you later." As Titan left, he wondered if Axe was deep in thought or perhaps nervous. He could usually tell Axe was deep in thought when he didn't have the same rhythm that he usually had.

For the rest of the night, Titan cooked up his own version of beef stew, a freedom fighter favorite. With him working, the night went by in a flash. As the recruits ate and he managed to have a conversation with each and every one of them. As he talked, something went through his mind. What if tomorrow was the day that he could see the world again? What if the chosen ones could actually do it; save the dimension? Axe hadn't authorized it, but Titan decided to follow the wind choosen one to the wall in the morning. Since centaurs did not sleep, he would help her if she had trouble waking up. In order to use the nightmares against the men, they would have to be at the wall at a specific time. Once dinner was over, Titan cleaned up the camp, and returned to his hut in the middle of the camp.

Kya

"He will need rest tomorrow is a bit to soon even for my alchemy and potions. But I will do my best to have him in top condition so he can at least travel."
Lust's response only lifted half of Kya's heart. It looked as though this journey was about to get much tougher.
"Do not blame yourself Kya Anderson Of Air. You could not be expected to have known the outcome of this situation. He seems at peace with this situation. In the end he protected a pretty girl from a monster after all." Lust said, putting one piece of Kya's hair behind her ear. This comforted her. For a second, she looked up at Lust and smiled, her eyes regaining the same sparkle that they used to have. Could she be right? Was Ancel actually happy? This thought confused her, and she awkwardly stared down at the ground. Even if he was happy, it was still her fault.

"I saw you looking at the dragon necklace. 'Hope and Courage'..seems to have meaning behind it..Would you like me to help you fashion a gift for him too?" Lust asked Kya. She nodded, her smile as wide as the sea, but the sparkle in her eyes fading away. "Alright. Sure! I guess we can do it later when..."
Suddenly, Connor ran into the room, screaming things that made no sense. Confused, she ran up to him and placed her hand on his shoulder, hoping that would calm him down. "Connor, it's alright. Ancel is fine. Everything is fine. Now listen, early in the morning we have a plan to destroy a wall that's blockading the path in the forest. You can come with us if you like."
She turned back around, facing Lust, and waved to her. "Thanks again for taking care of him. I'll see you later."

With her bare feet, she walked through the camp, and with a gust of wind, boosted herself into one of the trees that hovered over the area. Kya knew that it was best to sleep now if she wanted to wake up early by morning. She closed her eyes, attempting to fall asleep. A few minutes later, she opened them. At first, she was confused at why she had done so, but then realized that it was a habit of hers. Back in the day, before the war, once it was night in the IDD, the lucid dreamers would fall asleep, and return to reality, waking up in their beds at home. Now was different. Since the IDD had been practically destroyed, she couldn't return back. A million thoughts went through Kya's head: Getsus, the dead lucid dreamers, the freedom fighters, the wall, Solomon, the sunlight stone, Axe, the choosen-ones, and Ancel. Before she dozed off into a dreamless sleep, she realized that there would be many more thoughts to come.
