Image

Hyaku Shiki, EUG prototype, is a personalized high-performance attack mobile suit, piloted by Zane. Its armaments are as follows;

Image
60mm Vulcan Gun
A pair of 60mm Vulcan Guns mounted on the sides of the Hyaku Shiki's head. It can ward off advancing fast-moving targets with a high-rate of fire.

Image

AE/ZIM.C-BAZ-531 Clay Bazooka
The Hyaku Shiki can carry a clip-fed clay bazooka manufactured by Anaheim Electronics.

Image

Beam Saber
The Hyaku-Shiki had 2 beam sabers stored on the recharge rack of the rear-waist armor. Each saber is power rated at 0.4MW.

Image

BR-M-87 Beam Rifle
The Hyaku Shiki carries a unique beam rifle derived from Rick-Dias' beam pistol, with a power rating of 2.8 MW and powered by rechargeable energy cap.

Image

Mega Bazooka Launcher
An optional destructive armament that can only be operated by Hyaku Shiki, it can be powered by its support mobile suit, MSA-005 Methuss.

Image

Anti-beam Coating
The first Mobile Suit to ever use an anti-beam coating (ABC). The technology coats multiple layers of high specific heat capacity material on top of the armor that evaporates in high temperature. It provides a type of sacrificial protection against any type of beam weapon. However, due to its nature of ablating when defending against great heat, ABC can only tolerate a few hits to the same spot.

Fighting Style (applies to military personnel):

Zane’s fighting style is very charismatic like his personality. He is swift and hits hard. He’s mech is very all around and well balanced. Due to his well-prepared armaments, Zane is capable of up close quarters and long range battle. He is resistant to beam sword attacks to a certain degree so getting up close and personal is less of a risk for Zane and he likes it that way. Zane is very tactical, as an admiral should be. He doesn’t like to gamble with losing odds and will order his men to stand down and retreat rather than to risk their lives senselessly.

Image

Zane is an excellent swordsman and can best most anyone in a duel. He’s quite strong and trained in multiple martial arts forms. He is a notable marksman as well. Zane likes to use his brains so that he can maximize the effectiveness of his brawn.

Image

Strengths:
Fast, resistant to beams to an extent, lots of strong firepower, close quarters combat savvy

Weaknesses:
Cannot handle multiple hits to the same spot due to lighter armoring, must be careful when engaging in close quarters combat

Personality:
Zane is very charismatic and suave. He likes to play things cool. He is often seen smirking and making light of a situation. However he is very well informed and unlike appearances suggests, nothing is truly a laughing matter with him. He most always has a plan of action formulated even if he has not announced it yet. Zane likes to allow others to think for themselves rather than dictating every move to them. He’s the type of leader that steps in only when absolutely necessary.

Image

Zane knows that he’s attractive and uses it to his advantage. He likes to flirt however only with men, as he is attracted to men. He sometimes uses this to his advantage as well by making male opponents nervous and flustered. Zane is wise and has a good heart despite his vanity. He will honor his word always.

History:

Image

Zane Preston grew up to a wealthy family of politicians in Metargo. He was groomed to enter politics yet he wasn’t interested in sitting behind some desk or standing at dinner parties while deciding the fates of others. He was more interested in protecting others and making a difference in the world with his own might. Zane knew that his stuffy family would simply allow him to quite the political career path so he had to force their hand. At a international conference Zane stood at the podium in front of everyone and asked the secretary of state to approach the podium. Zane grabbed him and passionately kissed him in front of the entire conference room. Everyone was appalled and he was asked to step down from his office.

Image

Zane, now successfully freed from his career in politics, enlisted in the armed forces. Of course his scandal followed him but his skill and strength overcame any obstacle that the scandal could have brought on. He rose up the ranks quickly and in only a few years’ time. Zane saved the life of his commanding officer and soon afterward the commander retired. Zane was soon appointed Admiral of the 96th fleet. Zane had attended the annual Metargo Military festival as a special honored guest where he met the headline performer, popular idol Azaka Oikawa. After a short while the two were dating and have since become a couple. Zane’s relationship is publically known yet girls sill faint over him and Azaka nonetheless. Zane has a rather guarded take on the invasion of Benjlakki nation.

Azaka Oikawa and Zane Preston

As the two sat at the restaurant located in the Titan Ship, they conversed in a slightly flirty manner. They were enjoying spending time together without talks of war. Azaka always gained attention wherever he went, due to his celebrity status. People stared and tried not to get caught taking photographs of the two. Out of nowhere appeared a few of the Metargo operators who stood gossipy and starry eyed at Zane and Azaka. “It’s the Zanaka couple!!!” The three girls shouted as they ran over.

Before the group could reach the couple, Zane smirked at Azaka, “Well there goes our peaceful moment. Thanks superstar Azaka.” Zane said sarcastically.

“Oh hush. You’re just as popular with giggling girls and boys as I am. They probably want your autograph just as badly as they’d want mine.” Azaka said after rolling his eyes.

The three young ladies had reached the couple and began to talk a mile a minute. “Hi there Adimral Zane! OOPs! I meant Admiral Preston!! Oh…I’m such a ditz!! Sorry…” One of the girls said apologetically.

“It’s alright, you can call me Zane. But just this once okay. I wouldn’t want everyone around base forgetting that I’m their superior officer.” Zane replied with a flirty wink. Azaka simply snickered to himself. He knew Zane couldn’t help himself but to flirt with anyone.

The girls grew even more excited by Zane’s reply. The other people in the restaurant were becoming annoyed. “And Azaka your songs were awesome!! As usual! We almost forgot to work when Operation Azaka started! I felt like I was at your Banana Moon of Love holoconcert all over again!!” The Green haired squealed.

“BUT of Course we did our JOBS!! Right Popako??!!!” The red headed girl said forcefully as she hit the Green Haired girl in the arm for almost getting them in trouble.

Azaka smiled nervously. “Thanks a million girls. I’m glad you enjoyed the Sonic Cannon concert but It’s really supposed to Distract the enemy units not our own operators and pilots…” Azaka replied as he rubbed the back of his neck shyly.

Zane stared at Azaka rather plainly, “Perhaps we should discontinue Operation Azaka, seeing as that it could very well be more of a hindrance than a help.” Zane said joking in a serious tone. Azaka knew Zane very well and could tell when Zane was trying to get under someone’s skin.

“That’s not funny Zane…” Azaka said as he turned as way in a huff. Clearly he was upset.

“Lighten up songbird… I was only kidding with you.” Zane said in a smooth yet sincere tone.

The girls looked on and their faces blushed excitedly. “OOOHHH…. GIRLS I THINKE WE’RE WITNESSING A ZANAKA LOVE QUARRELL!! AHHH…” They bounced around. “You two make the cutest couple ya know!”

Both Zane and Azaka looked at them surprised. “Um, we do?” they both said innocently.

“Of course!! I’ve even seen guys that are jealous.” The green haired girl said.

“C-can we have your autographs? Pretty please Admiral Preston, Mr. Oikawa?” The more quiet blue haired girl asked shyly.

“Sure, what’re your names?” Azaka replied with a soft smile. He took the photo’s they had and signed them as they told the couple their names.

“I’m Popako.” The green haired girl spoke.

“I’m Matsuko.” The red haired girl said in a charged manner.

“And I’m Aiko. Thanks so much for your time. Sorry to have disturbed you two.” The polite blue haired girl said as she blushed.

After Zane signed the photos he replied, “It was our pleasure to spend these moments with you lovely ladies. Be sure to catch Azaka’s mini performance tonight at 7:00. You know to boost troop morale. He says he’s planned a lament for Captain Ire as well.”

“Yes please come.” Azaka added.

“OF COURSE WE’LL BE THERE!!” The three girls said in unison. Shortly afterwards the three girls scurried off.

Zane took another sip of wine and said casually, “If only more people learned to appreciate and get excited about the little things. They wouldn’t feel the need to subjugate other countries when there is plenty at their own fingertips.”

“The little but precious things, like love.” Azaka added. The two leaned in closely for a kiss however right before they could the blue haired operator returned.

“Umm… excuse me Admiral sir. I’m so sorry to have interrupted you two again. But I forgot to give you a message. The new tactician has ordered a meeting with the lion team to discuss today’s battle. Well then, I shall be going now sir.” With that the young lady tipped away.

“Well I guess love will have to wait no, won’t it. I guess I gotta go songbird.” Zane said as he stood from his seat. “Check please.” He called to the waiter.

“I may not be a soldier or a member of the Lion Team but I want to sit in on the meeting. I am a consultant to the military and I participated in the battles as the operator of the Sonic Cannon. Strategy is as important for me as it is for you all. Please Zane, let me come.” Azaka said as he stood to his feet as well.

“Alright Songbird, no need to present a court case to me. I’m always on your side. However I’m not so sure what the other guys will say. Their pride has already taken a beating today so they’re quite a touchy lot. Come on let’s go.” Zane replied with a reassuring smile.

As the meeting started and Aaron gave his remarks some of the Lion Team members momentarily shot glances at Azaka for being present in the meeting though he was not a member of the Lion Team nor the military. However he was a big participant in the recent battles thus it was grounds for him to sit in on them, though the pride of the soldiers ran thick and Azaka was sometimes unwelcomed by the prideful soldiers.

Zane stepped forward, “I take full responsibility for what happened today. I also take responsibility for Captain Irie’s death. That is on my head and the blood is on my hands. I was too comfortable in thinking that I could be more hands off in this battle. In my experience even a lackluster soldier can shine brightly under the proper guidance and leadership. I failed to step up to the plate and for that I am terribly sorry. I promise you all that THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.” Zane said in a serious tone.

Azaka grabbed Zane’s hand, “Zane you can’t take such blame upon yourself. It’s not fair.” Azaka said withconcern.

“Azaka, the day I start blaming my soldiers for my mistakes is the day I should quit lest I never look myself in the eyes again.” Zane replied in a deathly serious tone. He was bitterly upset by today’s events.

Viki Lunaria Metargo

Zechariah's eyes widened in shock. "Princess?" Taking off his pilot's helmet to reveal his dirty blonde hair and tanned faced with blue eyes, he turned his attention to Viki, "Y-your the Princess of Metargo?"

“Why yes I am. I guess I didn’t mention my last name. Oh right! Sir Hansel always tells me in case I teleport away in a situation like this that I should refrain from telling my last name. That way people who don’t recognize me will not hold me for ransom or something.” Viki replied in a chipper tone. She found his fussiness to be quite amusing.

Viki wasn’t too thrilled when Zechariah said he’d be taking her to his base. She was technically a prisoner to the enemy. However she wasn’t very worried. Viki knew that as soon as she ate enough food and gained enough strength, she could simply teleport home with ease. There was very little anyone could do to contain her. She quite surprise however to find that everyone was treating very nicely.

An android walked forth before others and stood in front of the princess, she stood tall at 6'2 foot, having to look down on the princess. ''Your vitals are nominal. Welcome to the Seraphim.'' She looked to Zecharich for a moment with a glare before looking back to the princess. ''Stay away from Zechariah. He is showing signs of wishing to mate with you.'' She next put her hand out. ''Greetings, I am Viola Jenova. I am the first bio mechanical android of Bennjakk. I specialize in computer interfaces, hacking, locating and hand to hand combat.'' She then actually smiled with warmth that didn't belong to a mere machine. ''But that is only the basics. I do not wish to bore you.''

Viki shook the android’s hand with a warm smile. “Why hello there! It’s a pleasure to meet such an interesting android.” Viki then glanced back at Zechariah. “He wants to mate with me??? Oh dear I’m not ready for such activities… We’ve only just met after all and I am not a woman of those morals.” Viki said as she placed her hand over her heart.

Zechariah heard Viola make that assumption about wanting to 'mate' with Viki and he shouted to Viola, "Idiot! I'm not interested in sex! Don't go making such assumptions without getting to know me, first! On top of that, she's got to be stressed out, as it is, without fretting over something like that!"

Benjamin joined in with, "That's right! My brother never was the kind of guy that was lustful! What kind of scanner are you using, anyway!?"

Viki said quietly, “Oh well that’s good to know. For a second there I almost thought I teleported into the craft of a predator… Glad to know you’re a good boy.” Viki said with an innocent smile.

Another young man entered the room and did a lot of glaring at Viki. He calmed Vika down. Before leaving he turned to the princess and smile. It was an evil smile a predator gives to their prey before hunting them down. "Princess. I advise you go home. I don't know how long I can control myself. Since your family was good to us as children, I'll let it slide this time, but don't forget. Even if these people here treat you nicely, or even like a livable prisoner, as long as your near me your life is in danger. You are Metargo after all." He started to walk away and then stopped, chuckling to himself. "Oh and Zechariah. You might want to watch your hormones. Hahahaa." Giving his tease, he walked away from the seen, putting his hands in his pockets.

Viki followed him out with her eyes. She stood pondering on his words. “Golly is he dark or what. However he does have a point there. I should be getting home. Sir Hansel must be really worried. I’d hate to cause trouble for everyone.”

Zechariah continued to glare. "I swear, if Axl makes one move against Viki, I will personally shoot him to ashes!"

Ben whispered to Viki with, "This is the first time I've seen Zechariah express any form of malice. He must really be ticked by what Axl said to you."

Viki looked puzzled, “Oh? Mr. Zechariah is so concerned about me? I barely met him. Wow he’s a sweet heart! Is he this caring about all girls?” Viki replied innocently. “Oh also I am still REALLY hungry… I’ve had an extremely long day. I had to address the Kingdom today… you don’t know how hard that is. Then I rescued a stranded medical shuttle and a very pretty noble woman named Amelia. She was very sweet. Then I got abducted… wow today was quite eventful indeed!” Viki gave an astonished smile.

Barnett Belvedere

Barnett was shocked that Cain was the sender of the flowers. She couldn’t help but smile very brightly. Cain’s shyness only made him further attractive to her. She had never seen him act in such a way. She wanted to tell him that it was alright but she couldn’t stop giggling to speak. She was most relieved that her mystery man was one that she very much liked.

Soon afterward the young woman awoke and she explained who she was. She was simply a teenager really. A girl that was a mystery to herself in a dangerous situation. Barnett began to feel sorry for the Benjlakki girl. “Poor dear. I hope they don’t treat her ruff. I don’t even care that she’s an enemy. I just want her to get home safe and sound.” She said softly.

Minmei Midori

Minmei listened to Kyle’s story. She realized that he was very different from some of the other soldiers she met. He had been through a lot in his life. He had to leave to attend the Lion Team conference. Minmei replied to Kyle, “I see you’ve gotta go. I’m not a member of the Lion Team so I guess I’m sparred the lashing you guys are probably gonna get. But I’m sure my superior will fuss at us operators as well. Good luck.” she took another sip from her Cosmo as Kyle left.

Aaron smirked in Jin's direction with, "I accept." After that, he lined up with the other Lions.

Kyle was not one of the Lion Team pilots that joined in on the antics of the others, but he listened carefully at what was said between Aaron and Jin. He would have said something, were it not for the admiral stating he would take full responsibility. Hearing that just made him feel worse. Finally, now that he had the opportunity, Kyle stepped up with an explanation.

"If I may, Tactical Commander, I believe there is a reason for how the Royal Navy is, as of right now: Our previous war was with the Mysticarans, whom did not have mechs. Instead, they manned Golems, the magical variant of a Mech in that riders of them are inside and use their knowledge of spells to have them fight in a similar manner to Mechs, yet not exactly the same. Most veterans in the Royal Navy and Royal Army never fought an opposing Mech, before, at least outside of training. The last war we had where mech-to-mech combat was seen was up against the Caninisian Empire for control over the Fortyyrk Archipelago, which is now divided between us and the Mysticaran Federation as of the Second Metargo-Mysticaran War. The War with Caninisia was when Saul first became King, and back then, our country was still struggling with the concept of mech unit warfare. Even now, the concept is something the Metargo Kingdom has yet to grasp completely due to relative inexperience fighting mech to mech. On top of that, the Mysticarans did not even use modern weapons against us, preferring swords, spears, archery, and other such weapons to go with their deadly spellcasting. With all this in mind, I can see why we would all be rusty and disorganized. Because the Benjlakki invented mechs, to begin with, they would most likely know more about them than we do. The point is, mech unit warfare is a relatively new concept which has yet to fully develop."

---

Adira already made it to Metargo territory and flew low in the mountains so not to be detected. She was determined to get her sister back no matter what. Now that she got to just beyond the outskirts of the fort she knew the 96th Royal would be by night, she hid her Eagle (in fighter jet mode) among the trees and got to working on infiltrating the port so she could get inside the Titan without a needless fight. All she had to do, now that she was in disguise, was wait. By the 96th Royal Fleet got to the territorial waters of Metargo, meaning the wait would not be that long.

Jin watched as Admiral Zane stepped forward he knew his voice and immediately went to his credentials, “I take full responsibility for what happened today. I also take responsibility for Captain Irie’s death..." Jin looked around as some of the soldiers showed signs of relief "...I promise you all that THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.” The admiral concluded in a serious tone. "With respect Admiral the lost we all experienced today is for all of us to share, along with captain Ire's death its not right for you to bare all of it solely."

"If I may, Tactical Commander..." began a young man with Silvery gray hair. Jin looked in his folder to match the man's face with a name and found the credentials for Kyle Scripio. He scanned over his information as Kyle continued to talk. Only hearing excuses he did his best to internalize what Kyle had to say. "...I can see why we would all be rusty and disorganized. Because the Benjlakki invented mechs, to begin with, they would most likely know more about them than we do. The point is, mech unit warfare is a relatively new concept which has yet to fully develop." Jin paused, removing his hands from under his nose before retorting "The fact that the Benjlakki invented the original mechs should have nothing to do with our sloppy and disorganized combat. Many of the mechs you all pilot are Metargo tech! Now if they had shown superior fighting skill today I would have nothing to say but no that does not appear to be the case. It was the lack of respect for our opponent and disorganized fighting that lead to today's defeat, But I do find a valid point in your explanation, We don't have mech on mech combat experience so with admirals permission, mandatory 7 am training mission will begin starting tomorrow. Don't worry you will all be using dummy rounds and stun swords so no real damage should occur, but I do hope this elements any other excuses you may come up with before our next sortie."

After a brief silence another member began to speak, this time a woman who seemed to be in her mid twenties. At the end of her speech she had began another chant. "Struf ul Gluj! Struf ul Gluj!" She roared, as a her grin slowly turning into a smile. Similar to Aaron, he admired her spirit but now was not the time in his eyes. Enough! Jin once again raised his voice to silence the chanting "We have neither shown strength nor earned Glory" he said as he broke down the chant into its two words. He looked at the woman who had just spoken and searched the file to find her credentials Specialist, May Fermana 24 years of age, he continued to read more about her before he looked up again and caught sight of her piercing blue eyes. She was a lovely sight and though he regretted it he had to treat her just as he treated every soldier in this room, cold and heartlessly...

"Specialist May Fermana is it?" he asked rhetorically "Thank you for another pep talk and all but what was your contribution on the field of battle earlier..." He paused and extended his hand to the projection of the battle which was still paused on the moment of captain Ire's death. after waiting to receiving a counter argument he continued in his normal calm voice "If you could please refrain from disturbing with further outburst we can bring this meeting to a close sooner." Jin knew he was being harsh and it was hard for him to do so, which is why he kept his head and eyes tilted downward.

"The last two soldiers I have yet to hear from are..." he began looking through the folders of soldiers pulling out two sheets "Lawrence Howe, and Cain Numi, would you care to share your thoughts while we are all gathered , if not I ask that you purge them so we can conclude this meeting."

#, as written by Damioa
Cains face dampened down as he heard even more of his comrades had died. He started to think that maybe he could've saved them, but took back those thoughts immediately. If he was one place, then he wouldn't be another and that only meant that someone else whom he saved today would have died in anothers stead. As both of them were called to debrief, Cain became lost in his thoughts until he saw someone he hadn't seen in a while. A man known as Jin-giro, a junior command tactician. Though Cain didn't know much about the man, he still felt that he was more worthy of his time than allot of people. His eyes had experience of pain in it. At first he felt he was just like him, but after "finding" files on his background he realized that even though they were alike in hardships, they weren't both forged the same way. Still, the man did earn Cains respect, mostly because he seems to be able to put his past behind him and live a normal live. This wasn't going to change his usual approach on meetings though. He decided to sit in the back close to enough people but far away from the majority, listening to only some of the words the two men were saying while also thinking of ways to better pilot the Near Shadow. Cain had a history of doing this. He usually put himself in situations that he wouldn't usually find himself in, and try to think of ways to get himself out of it. He stopped for a moment looking at Jin. He seemed really angry about the events that went on. Who could blame him though. People died. Still, Cain didn't think it was very helpful to disregard Aarons speech fully. Mostly because the first key to winning is teamwork and morale like speeches raises teamwork.

Cain listened as everyone else gave their side of the mission and waited for his turn to come. Of course he wasn't going to volunteer so he was instead called on. He didn't know what to say on his own thoughts so he scratched the back of his head trying to come up with something. "Well, I honestly don't have nothing to report on my end as far as thoughts on the battle. My main goal was to protect the Titan, which i did, sacrificing the life of my own unit to do it. Luckily I was recovered. I feel that the retreat doesn't mean loss or victory for anyone. After all, we're still in a war right. You can win and lose as many battles, but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is first, how many people were lost in those battles, and second, who won the actual war. Allot of people seem to be in raised spirits because of today's events, but not me." Cains eyes were hollowed out and cold as he lost himself in his words. "No. I will learn from today and walk into the next battle with the same calm I'm displaying right now. For I believe if I let my emotions get to me, then I'm just drawing myself closer to death." Snapping out of it and looking to his right and left, he saw some of the soldiers staring at him. "That's just me however. I can't speak for anyone else." He said trying to save himself from peoples stares.
................................................................................................................................................

Axl stopped midway as he thought about Vika's sparring offer. "Nah. I'm already in top form. Sparring is for training, but the only thing I use these hands for is for hurting people. That and cooking. I love me some food. I'm sorry, but seeing as you're a female, I'm not going to spar against you. If I hurt you, I'll probably feel bad about it..... Probably." He said, trying to hide his worry. He turned his head to face her, his face was much more relaxed than his usual frown. "Listen. You don't need a mind wipe or any of that stuff. You're a living being and it's normal for us to get caught up in our emotions. Okay, how about this? I'll spar you, but only if you want to relieve stress. After all, humans get stressed out." He said, patting her on top of her head. Once he realized what he was doing he took his hand away and put them back in his pockets, again walking back to the room. For just a second their, it almost felt like he was talking to Cain again when they were kids. Even though the former was like he was, the latter had personality issues. Cain couldn't handle emotions at all, feeling as if they were in the way of him being perfect. Axl on the other hand, was striven by anger. It was an emotion that changed his life and is still changing it today.

"Oh an one more thing. I don't want to here you call anyone your owner ever again. Understood?"
................................................................................................................................................

Setting the glass of water on the counter, Scoar listened as the girl talked and explained her situation. He didn't know very well, but he was sure that whatever her and her sisters connection was, was also viable to their health. "Don't worry. As Metargo, we still have to perform test, but I'll return you to your sister somehow. Though I don't really know how, seeing as my powers of magic are no where close to my moms or sisters. Still, you'll be okay." He said in Benjlakk. Then switching to Metargo he said, "Don't worry Barnett. We wont hurt her. We aren't tyrants." He joked with a smile on his face. He leaned over to the girl, staring her in the face and placed his hand on her head. "Hmm." He hummed as he decided that he had a good idea. It wasn't until his lips were pressed against the girls forehead that he thought maybe it wasn't a good idea. "Sorry, but my mom used to kiss me on the forehead whenever I was feeling ill. Anyway, just drink some water. I'm sure you'll be fine."

Now that the Shapiro twins were away from Metargo territory, Adira changed course for the islands nearest the Gatwashiim Peninsula. Chemda noticed that change of course on the digital map and asked, "Um... Adira? Why are we not headed for the Seraphim?"

"There is something I need to show you."

They landed next to an abandoned buildings, the surrounding area showing signs of combat, yet nothing from the current war. There were vines, moss, and all sorts of other things from nature covering the weapons and mech parts. The craters had been filled with water from rain over the years, resulting in ponds filled with sediments. The building itself was largely intact.

The twins entered the building to notice from familiar things about it. Files scattered about, laboratory materials on the shelves of rooms, even the screens on the walls. Their memories were returning, however slowly. Adira already knew, but Chemda only now realized this was the laboratory they came out of with their parents when merely little girls.

Once they made it to the safe, Adira began using her handprints and eyes for the scanning to unlock it. As she did so, she explained. "Chemda, this safe contains information on the project we were a part of, the reason for our heavily advanced capabilities. From what I could gather, we were genetically modified so to defeat a group of other genetically enhanced people from Metargo. Our encounter with that one opponent before you were captured confirms this. What I am wondering is, who first sponsored and came up with this 'Project Ghost' that we were to face off against when we were old enough, and why was such a thing happening, to begin with? Both the Benjlakki and Metargo governments deemed it illegal to experiment on humans. I was not about to let you be used as a guinea pig on the off chance someone on board that ship had plans for that. Once we obtain the documents, we are destroying this facility so the enemy does not get its hands on the scientific gear inside the building."

Chemda tilted her head. "How will we do that?"

"There is an armory nearby. We will use the explosives inside to blow the facility up. what is left will be destroyed by your Eagle, which I connected to via my customized comm device so to set it to autopilot to make it here."
The safe finally opened, allowing Adira to grab the files in there. "The reason the safe was untouched is because the systems rigged it so any forced opening would result in an explosion. We will need these papers so to conduct our own investigation into this 'Project Ghost'. We can trust neither the Benjlakki Armed Forces, nor the Metargo Royal Military." Now that the files were obtained, Adira motioned for Chemda to come. Okay! Let's go!"

The twins sprinted towards the armory, where Adira used the card key she swiped from the desk of her and her sister's father, whom was drunk at the time, the day the twins were drafted. Once in the armory, both Adira and Chemda searched it for explosives and set them wherever the biggest bang could occur in the facility. Adira was the one who set the timer on each, activating them at each location. The Shapiro twins barely had enough time to get out of there and away from the blast radius before the entire facility went up in flames and ashes.

Just then, Chemda spotted something weird: one of Adira's pockets had something in there. Nothing was there, before, so it struck her as odd. "Adira, what's in your right pocket?"

"What do you mean? Nothing should be in there."
After reaching in it, she pulled out the locating watch Jin had placed in the pocket without her notice. "Damn! We've been tracked! She threw it in the air and sliced it to bits with her swords out of frustration. "Get in your Eagle, now!"

Chemda did as she was told and enter the cockpit of the Eagle that had just landed. Both twins, in he cockpits of their eagles, launched into the air and switched their mechs to humanoid mode, Adira's holding twin blades while Chemda's was equipped with two beam rifles, one in each hand. Chemda got behind Adira and both waited in the air for their attackers to arrive.

Adira contacted her sister via radio with, "Chemda, I'll draw the enemy away from you so you can pick them off from a distance."

"Right!"

Lady Amelia Cross

Amelia was relieved that the surgery went well. She tried her best and she could honestly say she did a good job. She thanked every helping hand that assisted in the operation. The cybernetics unit was excellent on the Titan. They helped to make things go much smoother. Amelia though back to the intruder and realized that the danger was not only on the battlefield but even on the base of operations. War could happen anywhere and effect anyone. She herself needed to be careful wherever she went. As the young men awoke she sighed in relief. Earlier, the other nurses told her to go rest after performing the surgery but Amelia refused to leave the medical Bay until she knew that the young men had awaken from slumber and were alright.

Amelia watched as Kyle reacted with hostility to the nuclear power chip. She could tell there was more to Kyle’s anger with the chip than meets the eye. While Bibi got the nuclear power chip installed without Kyle resisting, Aaron looked up at Amelia and said, "Kyle lost his family to a meltdown, milady. The explosion killed his parents instantly, while his younger sister, Erika, received a terminal illness from the whole ordeal. He could not pay for her treatment in time. I was there to see Kyle and her at a medical room. Even though she smiled in her last moments and told him not to cry, it did not take long after her death for him to burst into tears. Kyle literally sobbed over his sister's corpse for an hour nonstop. Since then, his life pretty much went downhill as he turned to life in the streets. He did not have much left. The main reason he is in the military is because of an incident where he fought a group of thugs and literally tried to kill them with his pocket knife. He and the others were arrested, but when it was realized Kyle went berserk back there to save a high school girl from being raped, he was offered a chance at amnesty in return for service in the Royal Navy. He agreed, and here now he is, a member of Lion Team, the most prestigious mech squadron our country has to offer."

Amelia listened intently as Aaron spoke of Kyle’s past. She was moved to hear of his dedication to his family and their memory. She was reminded of her brother’s dedication to protecting her and the family. Amelia replied, “He’s come through so much. I’m proud to have helped him overcome another obstacle. In my time working with the military, I’ve come to realize the type of heart required to be a soldier, especially one of such fine a caliber as the Lion Team soldiers. Seeing that Mr. Scipio has braved such despair and loss, I’m sure he shall overcome this as well and be a pillar of strength for others.”

Amelia stood to her feet and addressed both young men. “I’m most glad that the worst of it is over. I’m Lady Amelia Cross, I will be on call as your head physician until your full recovery. Admiral Zane came to check in on you both while you were sleeping. He said the Lion Team eagerly awaits its valuable pilots so he wishes you a speedy recovery. I was the head doctor for your operations.” Amelia then addressed Kyle, “Mr. Scipio I would like to ask if you would please forgive me regarding the use of the nuclear power chip. Miss Bibi and I were unable to find another power source on such short notice. I was unaware of your past with Nuclear energy. I’ll make it my priority to acquire an alternate energy source for your new hand. However, if I may give my opinion, perhaps you can look upon this as one time nuclear energy saved someone. I don’t mean to pry, if I’ve misspoken I once again apologize.” She said and then bowed politely. “I must be going now. Please send for me if you are in any discomfort and I will personally see to you. Rehabilitation will begin tomorrow afternoon at noon. So until then, rest well.” Amelia left shortly afterwards.

Viki Lunaria Metargo

Viki noted Zechariah’s gloominess when discussing matters of politics. She couldn’t blame him, it was a tough subject to have bright conversation about. She never lost her sunny disposition and finished up her udon soup. “You mentioned that you like music. Do you like the Metargo singer Azaka Oikawa? He’s my favorite!! He’s so dreamy and passionate about music. His songs sing to the heart you know.” Viki mentioned in an effort to talk about something brighter. Yet politics invaded the conversation again.

“However, he has been asked to help the Metargo Military… I’ve seen the footage from Operation Azaka on the news. It was like watching a holographic concert in the sky. I know the news footage only shows the public the winning portions of the battle as not lower morale. From my perspective Operation Azaka looks thrilling and cool. However, I suppose it’s quite terrifying for the enemy army. I hear it jams communication frequencies and the Sonic Cannon can deliver lots of heavy beam fire. I would think that you probably aren’t a fan of his anymore if you were before… I hear a lot of Benjlakki fans of his are hurt by his involvement in the war. I feel somewhat sorry for him. He’s doing this because he wants to protect what’s dear to him, that’s Admiral Zane. He doesn’t truly want to wage war. I admire such heart. A man fighting for the one he loves despite not supporting the war in his heart of hearts … how admirable. I suppose everyone has someone or something to fight for. I hope you don’t mind me asking but, who are you fighting for?” Viki asked as her eyes locked onto Zechariah’s.

Viki Lunaria Metargo

Viki listened to Zechariah as he responded. "I honestly don't know, since I was drafted and not given a choice. Although, I guess I am just hoping this war will end, and I am riding it out. As for Azaka, that explains the Sonic Cannon I saw in the battle I fought, though I have no thoughts on Azaka himself since I know little about him. The previous Sergeant of my squadron died to a stray blast before that was activated. During that same battle, Aaron Lextu and I fought, the Seraphim confronted that Metargo Capital Ship, the enemy amphibious assault was repelled, and the Shapiro twins went missing on us, which was why Benjamin and I went in search of them." He next whispered, "You know the rest of the story."

“I see.” Viki responded taking a brief pause. “I wonder what my life would have been like had I decided to get more involved with the military like my mother, father, and brother are. I dod’t even know how to operate a battle mech myself.” Viki paused yet again to think on that statement. “Well, actually I’ll rephrase that. I don’t know how to operate a battle mech without the use of magic.” She then explained casually. Since she can communicate to theheart of machines it was possible to make the machine operate without having to input any physical commands. Thus the machine was operating itself not Viki. Viki continued, “You must be very brave to face such a thing as a draft without much complaint.”

At that moment a blue haired young woman approached Viki and Zechariah. She seemed to know Zechariah. "Ah it's nice to see a familiar face... I feel like I've been gone for years... Though it seems much shorter... I think." Oriana checked the length of her blue hair. Slowly Oriana brought down her hand metal hand. I've actually been looking for someone familiar to me... As you may have guessed I've only just... Awoken." Oriana eyed her own arm. "No one at the hospital answered me on what happened what I've missed... Too many injured which only confirmed my fears... So I need to know. What's happened and more so what can I do if anything at this point?" Oriana was all business. Until she noticed the young lady Zech was with. "Please tell me I did not interrupt a date? I'm sorry if I have I can just go and..." Oriana went to face palm only to literally slap herself in the face with the robot hand. Standing there with a slowly reddening face.

Viki was quite intrigued by the young woman with the robotic arm. She wondered what she meant when she said that she had just awoken, as it did not seem as if she were refereeing to a normal slumber but from a coma or cryogenic sleep. When the young lady asked if she was interrupting a date Viki giggled. “Oh no you’re quite alright. I’m Viki Matsunaga. I’m a Metargo exchange student. Zechariah was spending the day with me before I am sent home. Since the war is about us, all exchange students must return to their home nation for their safety. Zech was just showing me around to some places I haven’t had the chance to visit yet before I make my return trip.” Viki used her alias once again when introducing herself. She felt somewhat like a secret agent, which she found amusing. “What’s you’re name miss?” Viki asked the young lady.

Lady Amelia Cross

Bibi walked alongside Amelia with her hands behind her neck while stating, "This is the first time I've seen Kyle behave that way outside of combat. He's typically a mischievous guy. Who'd have thought he had such a past, let alone that Aaron Lextu, of all people, knew the whole time?" Bibi next turned her eyes, though not her face, towards Amelia.

“You don’t say? I suppose the aftermath of such an event might lead one to act a tad erratically.” Amelia responded as she pondered Kyle’s disposition for herself.

"So, you're Amelia Cross, huh? My dad did mention you and your brother. I mean, sheesh! How does everyone that is of the nobility know each other, anyway? How is it that we all keep in touch with one another so much? It's just... weird..." Bibi said.

Amelia chuckled a bit. “You know I used to ask my brother the same question. He used to respond, ‘The farmer has his plow, the blacksmith his hammer and flame, but a noble has his duty to the pursuit of knowledge however useful or useless it is.’ I laughed until I turned pink every time he’d say that.” Amelia replied with a jovial smile. She missed her brother so very much. “I think you and I have quite a bit in common. It seems you don’t care for the stuffy expectations of the nobles as well.” Amelia continued as they walked down the hallway.

Percival Cross, Sir Eric Hansel

Sir Hansel had received Viki’s message stating that she was alright and able to return home whenever she wanted via teleportation. Therefore a rescue was no longer needed. He was relieved. However there was still yet another fire to put out. The nobles and parliament would surely be looking for the princess to see to maters that needed the approval from the Royal family. “Hopefully Lady Cross contacted Sir Percival as she promised.” Hansel said to himself as he piloted his shuttle back toward Metargo. Moments later he received a video call from Percival himself. Hansel answered the call and the video chat began.

“Greeting Sir Hansel. I do believe this is a rare occasion to chat with you.” Percival greeted Hansel. The two had only met once at an event they both attended. Hansel was often seen but it was rare that Percival was able to speak with the esteemed Royal Knight.

“Indeed Minister Cross. It is a pleasure. I assume that Lady Amelia has informed you of my plight?” Hansel replied in a chipper tone.

“Please call me Percival. And Yes, she has. I have already set things in motion. The council believes that the princess is visiting her grandmother. They were getting worried at first as she had missed several appointments, which is unusual for her. However after I gave them the proper excuses and apologies they backed off fairly easily. Just promise me the princess is well and will soon return. I cannot keep this charade up for long.” Percival replied in his casual and cool manner.

“The princess is safe for now. She says that she can return home soon. I just hope that she doesn’t doddle. Please keep this quiet, of course. She is currently with the Benjlakki military at the moment and they have been hospitable to her. It seems they are trying to avoid a serious international incident as well. Viki is going under an alias Viki Matsunaga. She will teleport home soon, or so she says.” Hansel replied.

“I see. I see charisma runs strong in the Lunaria bloodline.” Percival said with a smile.

“And reliability is a strong suit of the Cross family it seems. You and Lady Cross are quite the dream team. You both remind me of the old days. People aren’t quite the same now if you ask me. But listen not to the ramblings of an old gentleman. You have pressing matters to attend to. Thank you for your help, the princess and I really appreciate it.” Sir Hansel replied with a cheerful smile.

“Why thank you Sir Hansel. I agree Amelia is a pillar of strength for many, especially me. I simply try my best. Well I shall be off now. Please keep me informed.” Percival replied.

“Indeed I shall Percival. Thank you once again. I bid you adieu.” Sir Hansel replied and ended the call.

Percival sat in his chambers and pondered the news he had heard earlier regarding the infiltration of the Titan. He wanted to check in on Amelia and also on Minmei. He knew Minmei was working onboard the Titan. This would also be a chance to pay Admiral Zane Preston a visit. He had not had the chance to see his rival and friend in a while. However this would also be a business trip as well. There was a lot to work out since the battle had ended and the military leaders would surely desire to speak to the Prime Minister in person regarding recent matters.

Amelia Cross

As Amelia listened to Bibi’s mention of her husband she began to think of her situation. She was always so busy pursuing her interests, she rarely thought about relationships. ‘Why haven’t I sought love out for myself?’ she thought to herself. She peered down at the floor as she decreased her walking pace. Amelia brushed it off and returned to her usual graceful disposition.
As they were walking, Bibi spotted a member of Lion Team, George, holding his forehead in obvious pain. At least, she thought it was George. "Hey, George! What's up with your head?"

The person thought to be George replied with, "George? I'm not George, I'm Emesto."

Bibi raised an eyebrow. "Why are you wearing his uniform, then? You look just like him. Are you brothers?" She recognized something odd about the man's voice right away: he was speaking with a Benjlakki accent. "And, why are you sounding like a Benjlakki, with that accent you are using?"

Emesto gazed at Bibi with an equally questioning glare as he switched to the Benjlakki language. "I am Lieutenant Emesto Andrew, 92nd Republic Fleet, Blue Angel Team, Benjlakki Mech Ace. I only have a younger sister, named Catrina. Did Metargo ally with Benjlakk so to deal with the mercenary problem, by any chance? Did it escalate that much?"

Bibi gave a stern look. "The Benjlakki Siege on Mercenaries was thirteen years ago."

Emesto's eyes widened in disbelief as he froze where he was. "Thirteen years!? Are you serious!? Catrina would be a young adult, by now!" He then had his hands feel the Metargo uniform he was wearing. "Wait! How am I alive!? I should have died back at the islands near the Gatwashiim Peninsula! What am I doing in Metargo uniform!?"

Bibi brought out an X-ray device she made in case of emergency, though this was beyond her expectations. "I have a hunch, Emesto. Hold still, I need to examine your spine." Upon inspection, she found what she suspected would be there. "Just as I thought, Nanoidrons implanted into your spine. Those mercenaries you speak of must have put them there to make George, if what you say is true. King Saul would want to know about this."

Amelia look upon the situation curiously. ‘Why was this man implanted with Nanoidrons in the spine?’ She thought. “That practice is highly prohibited, not to mention dangerous… Sir Do you remember anything about the people who did this to you? I would much like to see that they are apprehended as soon as possible. Perhaps there are others with a similar situation about the base. We should probably investigate the matter soon.” Amelia added.

Viki Lunaria Metargo

Viki listened to Oriana’s advice. She knew that it wasn’t the wisest idea to say that she was a Metargo Exchange student however, she didn’t want to hide her heritage. She was quite proud of her nation and simply refused to lie about being from Metargo. She wasn’t really worried about the trouble that choice could have caused. She was pretty whimsical about everything, and somehow always managed to managed to escape trouble unscathed.

When Viki was told of Oriana’s position in Benjlakk she stared at her in awe. This information had shed a new light on the young woman. Viki wondered why Zechariah knew such a powerful person personally. Viki soon noticed that her comm disk received a notification. She looked down at it and smiled, it was Zech’s contact information. Viki replied with her own info to Zech’s device.

Standing straight now Oriana went all business the sweetness draining from her until she looked like a woman on a war path her deep blue eyes freezing over like ice. "As mentioned I have been asleep for awhile... After I went to check up on the mechs I think was a few months back we were attacked though my memory is currently missing I seem to also be missing an arm... When I awoke yesterday I was told via communicator by president Anderson to get well take some time to rest... But considering the whispers of a fight... I'm not keen on the idea. So today I checked myself out and here I am." Oriana huffed her eyes looking away calculating each ounce of information. "Hmm... If I can keep communication going now... I think... There has to be a way for something." Nodding to herself decidedly Oriana turned back to the pair physically calming. "Ah sorry, I ought not bring such un-pleasantries here you seemed to be having such a good conversation going... Though I must warn Miss Viki that although Zech seems harmless his good looks are quite notorious on catching girls fancies... Not that he ever notices." Oriana smiled and playfully nudged Zech in the shoulder in a clear brother sister type fashion.

Viki was extremely puzzled by Oriana. She swapped dispositions swiftly. It was almost frightening. When she heard the bit about Zechariah’s attractiveness she began to giggle. She looked him up and down silently and her smile grew somewhat squiggly. “He is adorably handsome… I’m lucky that he’s looking after me.” Viki said with a sweet smile. “So Zechariah, where to next?”, Viki asked him in a chipper manner, she locked arms with him casually.

Percival Cross

Percival had begun preparations to depart for the Titan. He couldn’t stop thinking about the matters involving the princess. He simply hoped that everything would work out smoothly. He wasn’t extremely worried however, Sir Hansel was looking after the princess and he was more than efficient at his job. Percival was also comforted by the knowledge that the princess had an uncanny knack for evading danger by some miraculous means, so he had little doubt that she’d make it home without trouble.

A ring chimed in the air, the telecommnicator displayed the King’s private line. Percival took a second to make a decision. “Perhaps I should refrain from telling the king about Viki for now. He need not worry about this. I’ll make sure she makes it back into Metargo without troubling King Saul.” He said to himself.

Percival answered King Saul’s call, Saul said, "Lord Cross, I am sorry if I interrupted anything, yet I have something urgent to tell you.”

Percival replied with a polite smile, “You’re always most welcome my King. What may I ask is the trouble?”

Saul continued, “After the Battle of Gatwashii, today, we were surprised with the realization of the fact a prisoner that escaped has been genetically altered to make her performance in battle higher than any regular person could hope to achieve in a lifetime, similar to an illegal genetic project that was conducted in our own country, as well. I am sending a copy of all files concerning both Project Ghost and Project Exorcist, as well as relevant articles about a mercenary clan's Benjlakki-repelled attack on islands in an area near Gatwashii suspected of being the location of Project Exorcist, which has apparently ceased. I would like for you to come to the Titan to further discuss this ordeal and a possible investigation on this matter. We are dealing with a massive conspiracy affecting both sides of this war."

Percival’s smile faded quickly, “I see. This is an extremely delicate situation indeed. I was just planning trip to the Titan actually. So I am impressed by your timing my lord. I will indeed conduct a thorough investigation on the matter. I shall be aboard the Titan by tomorrow morning.” The two ended their call shortly afterward. Percival took another moment to forward an authorization of passage for Sir Hansel in to Gatwashii, that way he could retrieve the princess. Percival didn’t want to take any chances.

Azaka Oikawa and Zane Preston

Earlier, after the Lion Team meeting, Azaka and Zane left the conference room and started down the hall. When the Titan was infiltrated and the prisoner of war was once again re abducted, Zane was greeted by a lower ranking officer who delivered the information to him. Azaka listened in and felt somewhat ofan overwhelming despair. After the messenger was dismissed, Azaka stood quietly staring at Zane. Zane’s disposition seemed unwavering, he expected something along the lines of what happened to occur and it did. He noticed Azaka staring and quietly acknowledged him.

“What’s the matter songbird? Shouldn’t you be getting prepared for your concert? It’s almost time you know.” Zane gave a tiny smile.

Azaka looked down at the floor, then replied, “I don’t think that I should. I mean, so much has happened today, so many things went wrong. How could I expect anyone to smile and attend a concert after such a chain of events?”

Zane stepped closer and placed his hands on Azaka’s shoulders. “That’s exactly why you should continue and sing. It’s moments like these that song is most important. It inspires joy when there is sadness, it makes tough work seem a bit easier when you hum your favorite tune, ushers in hope when you feel you have none. You taught me that, you couldn’t have forgotten. They need your song, I need your song. Will you sing for Metargo, for me?” Zane’s voice was calm and caring. He almost sounded like a father figure.

A smile crept across Azaka’s face. “I’d put anything on the line for you. However this song won’t just be for Metargo’s soldiers but those in Benjlakk as well. We’re all fighting for something important to our hearts. We should at least honor that.” Azaka replied.

“Well said Songbird.” Zane replied with a cool yet excited disposition. “I’ll be there front row center.” Zane winked. Azaka hurried off to prepare for the small concert aboard the Titan.

(Current Time)
When it was time he entered the stage and the assembly hall was near capacity. It seemed that the soldiers needed relief through song after all. The band began and Azaka sang a few of his more popular songs, “Banana Moon of Love”, “Clock Strikes”, and “Cosmic Night Flight”. Azaka then spoke to the cheering crowd. “Everyone, I’m so glad to see your smiles tonight. You can’t afford not to smile through the hard times, you know. I have prepared a special songas a lament for the fallen soldiers and a special dedication to Captain Irie. This song is not only for Metargo soldiers, but for those of the enemy that have fallen. I dedicate it to them as well because we are all the same inside, men and women fighting for what we believe in. We owe it to them and ourselves to at least honor that. That being said, here is “Anata wo Kanjiteiru”.

[Click to listen: https://soundcloud.com/jason-andrews-1/ ... eiru-cover ]

As Azaka sang, the room seemed to fill with a soothing energy. The instruments being played almost seemed to glow. It was as if everyone was emanating an energy.

Karen Lunaria Metargo

Moments before the concert’s start Saul sat down beside Karen. "Sorry for the wait, my dear." Sitting next to his Queen and wife, the King sighed. "It is a wonder we do not have grey hairs, by now, with all the stressful moments that keep coming our way."

Karen let out a small sigh of relief. “I’m glad you made it to our date.” She said with a smirk. She was so relieved to have her husband next her with a chance to relax for once. Saul was always extremely busy but the war simply made it worse. Her personal mission was not to let the country run Saul ragged. “You made it just in time darling, Azaka is about to begin his first song in a few moments.”

When the music began Karen immediately recognized what was happening. There was something a kin to magic afoot. Azaka was unaware of it but he was channeling the very power of hope through song. Hearts were being healed and restored so that all that was near could smile, dream, believe, and try once more. Karen leaned over to Saul once more, “Darling, there is something powerful about Azaka’s music, other-worldly so to speak. It took great wisdom to choose him as the Emulator for the sonic cannon.”

Sir Eric Hansel

Sir Hansel had managed to fly into enemy boarders. At the air field he impersonated a passenger from a domestic flight and when he was being checked for his identity, Hansel prepared himself for a fight, he knew that playing the innocent old man act wasn’t getting him past such a security check. Just then his electronic travel documents were received from Percival. He smiled casually and handed the officer his fabricated information obtained from the minister. The officer looked over the information and approved Hansel’s passage.

Hansel proceeded forward and then breathed out a sigh of relief. “Thank you Minister Cross…” he said to himself quietly. He searched around for Viki and after sending her a message, to keep her posted, he received a response from her. He had a general idea of where she was but Viki wasn’t the best at directions nor recalling them.

Barnett Belvedere

Barnett had spent some time resting her eyes and taking it easy as she had busy day ahead of her the next day, not to mention what had happened to her earlier. The soft sound of the sliding door could be heard and Barnett slowly opened her eyes to see Cain enter. She slowly smiled. She was glad to see him.

"Ex-excuse me. I hope you're not sleeping." He said as he walked in.

Barnett sat up and replied in a pleasant tone, “Nope, just resting my eyes. What’s up Cain?”

"Um.... Well due to some circumstances, I was assigned temporary lead to the Lion team and I was told I need to question some people who are tied to the team and...... Well I was thinking that I could ask you questions." He said nervously glancing back to the papers in his hand.

Barnett’s eyes widened excitedly, “Wow congratulations Cain! I’m excited for you! I hope you are not nervous. You shouldn’t be, you’d make a great leader I think.” She replied as she sat up further.

"But you know you don't have to answer me. It's okay, I can just have someone else come in and do it. Oh yeah. For each question I ask about you, you'll get to ask one about me. That sounds fair right?" He said. He lowered his head and shut up. "On second thought." He said with a determined look in his face. "I insist that's what we do." His determined face wasn't that much different from his normal ones, but the eyes that stared at Barnett were the ones of a man on a mission, at least to him they were.

Barnett looked a little puzzled. “You want to ask me questions? Well, sure I guess depending on the questions. Of course I want to know what they are for and who put you up to this. This is a tad unlike you. But I’m curious. So what do you wanna ask?”

Barnett Belvedere

"Yes, you were very helpful. All I need to do now is check all of these things off. I'm not really great with people, so I was wondering if you could come along while I talk to everyone else in the Lion Team. I'm kind of nervous to talk to them alone. It sometimes feels like they don't even have the slightest respect for me. Hehe." Cain gave a forced chuckle. "You don't have to if you don't want to. I understand that you might be tired so you don't really have to come. Unless you want to of course."

When Cain asked Barnett if she could help him out it was music to her ears. She was sick of being stuck in bed. She never liked to remain idle for long. Barnett’s smile brightened further. “I feel like I’ve been proposed to! Yes, yes, I’ll tag along! You don’t know how through I am with laying in that bed!” Barnett knew her response would probably jar Cain a bit but she liked to see him react to her bluntness. Cain’s shyness was very cute to her.

“Just give me a moment to get changed. Thankfully the doctor cleared me for basic activities. I’ll be about ten minutes.” She said and gave a cute wink.

Percival Cross

Percival received Sir Hansel’s update and knew he needed to see to it personally that things went smoothly in the town of Disclesca. In the private shuttle that was enroute to the Titan, Percival asked for the pilot to make a detour. Within a few moments he arrived in Disclesca. Percival gained an audience with the coastline defense captain.

“Good afternoon Captain, I am grateful for your cooperation on this matter.” Percival greeted the captain.

“Good afternoon Prime Minister. I am having my men keep a close watch on the brown wing team’s movements. They won’t fire but the moment the enemy gets too close to Disclesca I will have to take action. Honestly Minister Percival, I do not understand why you trust this enemy unit. It could be an elaborate plot to catch us off guard.” The Defense Captain responded with a concerned look about him.

Percival remained composed. “I assure you Captain that my source is quite reliable. I trust that the leaders of the Brown Wing team will adhere to their word. The may be presently our enemy, but they are honorable. I take full responsibility if I am incorrect.” Percival looked out into horizon and could see some of the fighting taking place. He really wished that the Metargo Military would assist the Brown Wing team.

Percival slipped away and called Zane Preston. “Zane my good buddy. I need a quick favor from you. How fast can you be in Disclesca?”

Zane Preston and Azaka Oikawa

Azaka’s concert had come to a close and Zane sat with him in his room. The two flirted with one another, simply enjoying a moment of time alone with one another. Zane received Percival’s phone call. “I’m on my way. Gosh Percival, it seems I’ll never have fully repaid you for that whole Scandal incident.” Zane said to Percival via the call.

Percival replied, “Of course you won’t be let off the hook so easily Zane. You had all of Metargo thinking I was your lover. Yeah you’ll owe me big for a very long time.” Percival said with a chuckle.

“Once again you’ve well proven your point. I’ll lend the Brown Wing team hand with the Hyaku shiki. Azaka is shooting daggers at me with his eyes so I assume he’s going to follow me whether I lik it or not so count him in as well.” Zane replied. Shortly the two headed for Disclesca.

Brown Wing Team had some difficulties. So far, however, the fighting was kept a significant distance away from the shorelines. He desired to keep it that way. No casualties on Brown Wing Team's side of it occurred, yet, and whether they would remained to be seen.

Once Zechariah blew up the two Blasters' heads, he proceeded to remove the limbs with his blasts, while slashing off the engines with his beam sword. He next contacted his brother. "Ben! Cover me!"

"On it!"
Benjamin shot, slice, and flew his way to Zechariah (in a nonlethal fashion, of course) prior to going back to back with Zechariah. In the positions they were, neither brother could be snuck up on. At least, it was less likely they would be taken by surprise. This relief gave Zechariah enough time to set up the Ion System Prototype previously installed into one of the beam rifles. "There! It's set!"

Benjamin, while shooting at more rogues, posed the query, "What is?"

"Watch!"
Zechariah intercepted an incoming Sabre Bleu below him with the rifle that had the Ion System installed, followed by blasting off the head so the hostile pilot in the mech could not aim anything at anyone. The ion blast, as the system was currently installed, would only temporarily render the opposing mech immobile, thus it was prudent to remove the engines from the Sabre Bleu immediately, ensuring it remained away from the shores of Disclesca."Quick! Get the engines!

Benjamin flew right under the falling Sabre Bleu to slice off the engines with one slash of his beam knife. "He's not going anywhere!" Just then, an enemy signal sounded in Brown Wing Team's mechs, which only meant a Metargo mech unit or other vehicle was on the way. Ben looked at the screens while moving his Eagle's head and noticed a familiar unit. "It's that gold-covered mech! Why now, of all times?"

Zechariah responded to his older brother's reaction via telling him, "Never mind that mech! Worry about these!" As he said that, the sergeant transferred signal data to Zane so he could differentiate between Brown Wings and rogues.

[font=]The garrison Captain became irritated at having to do nothing and had one of his transmission interception teams hack into the communication systems of Brown Wing Team. "Forgive me, Left of the State Minister Cross, but I wish to find out once and for all what this Brown Wing Team is up to. I've got hackers working on retrieving their communications signals."

After a while, one of the hackers gave the thumbs up. To that, the Captain said, "Good, now, we can stop guessing and get to the bottom of all this." He next had an interpreter translate what all was being said, since some of it would be in the Benjlakki language. The Captain turned to Percival with "Sir, since you also know the Benjlakki language, we would like your input, as well."

As the war criminals were fought, something appeared awfully wrong. The rogues' signals were being lost and the cameras showed signs of some of the mechs being trashed to the point of destroyed, meaning the hostile pilots inside were killed. Benjamin was the first to spot this. "Wh-what the hell happened!? Some of the rogues are dead, Zech!"

This agitated Zechariah as he responded with, "What!? I specifically told Brown Wing Team that we were capturing them for a court martial! Who's responsible for this insubordination and outrage, Ben!? What's going on!?"

"I don't know, but I can't seem to find out where Axl is!? Neither the cameras nor radar are picking anything up!"

Zechariah could not believe what he just heard. He was suddenly reminded in his head of what occurred with the Titan. "No trace of him!? That sounds similar to what happened with that Metargo Capital Ship back at the Battle of Gatwashii! It was after that mech which fired the nuclear weapon at us went down!" He reflected on the matter some more. "Now that I think about it, that mech was similar in design to the one Axl pilots. How does that make sense? If that one mech could use stealth technology to camouflage an entire ship, then... wait. That must be it!"

Benjamin became just as irritated as Zechariah. "What is it, little brother!?"

"Axl's using that same technology on his own mech!"
Zechariah was now piecing it all together. "Remember when we could not find him anywhere at the Battle of Gatwashii?"

Benjamin nodded. "That bastard was little to no help until that similar mech on the opposing side was about to fire that nuclear weapon on us!"

Zechariah replied with, "Exactly! Which means, he must have worked with the pilot of it, before! Why would he defect to Benjlakk, though, and hate the nationality he was born with? Something's not right! He even threatened Viki! Well, whatever he's planning, I won't let him! If he's going to endanger that girl's life! She may be Metargo's Princess, but she's not the kind of girl who'd approve of war or anything else volatile! I just know that from the time spent at Gatourshai before we found out about the rogues' plans!" His body began to glow a silvery blue from the cockpit as his rage began to build up. He then stopped fighting the war criminals when able to and finally his Eagle glowed the same silvery blue, followed by this shout of rage: "I won't let him lay a finger on her!"

((Here's some G Gundam music as you imagine Zech's transformation. XD Shinging Finger Theme))

The Eagle was now covered in silvery-blue light as Zechariah used his temporarily-enhanced abilities to swiftly type in adjustments to his mech's computers, allowing him to vaguely see where Axl was. The AI was struggling with the adjustments, but the radar barely picked up Axl's signal, which was coming from near the academy. "There's that bastard!" Knowing where Axl was, and judging correctly it was in front of the mech floating without moving anywhere, the enraged Malachi pulled out his beam saber and activated it. When he did, the blade turned from neon red to a glowing blue and enlarged in length.

Zechariah accelerated his Eagle with his beam sword pointed in the general spot Axl was, hoping to hit the cockpit. He would maneuver to avoid hitting the other mech, if possible. The radios in every channel that could hear Zechariah picked up his roar of intense anger.

All the messages between Zechariah and Benjamin were picked up by the garrison, with Percival there to listen to all of it. The garrison Captain was left dumbfounded as everything in Benjlakki was deciphered. "Gatourshai? That's a town within the Gatwashiim Peninsula! If this Zechariah was there with Princess Viki.... No, how does that make sense?" The Captain turned to Percival. "Left of the State Minister, what do you make of this?"

It was not long before one of the cadets, Karl Lopez (picture shown below) gave a secret message to Percival via communications device. It contained his observations of things he was not supposed to see, including papers on a Ghost Team and a man in Benjlakki uniform that was in cold sleep, with signs of the brain being altered by nanoidrons. Karl told Percival that he was merely a little boy at the time, yet figured the disappearance of Axl Jai Numi had something to do with what he saw. After that, Karl hung up, waiting for whatever would happen.

Kyle shrugged at what Cecilia said. "I was merely repeating to Minmei what Aaron told me, earlier today. Anyway, the blue-haired girl there is Minmei Midori. She's very hard-working, and can be pretty nationalistic."

Barnett Belvedere

Barnett had finished changing and stepped out of the room having opened the door. “Sorry if I took too long Cain. I’m ready to go now.” Barnett said as she stood in her operators uniform.

She was quite excited to be up and about again. “So, who shall we see first? I hope I can be of help at all.” She said with a cute smile to Cain.

Zane Preston and Azaka Oikawa

Zane, in the Hyaku-shiki, blasted off into the zone of battle. He had noticed that a Brown Wing pilot was dangerously close to being shot down. If he didn’t act fast the cockpit of the mech would have been shot out, killing the pilot. Zane made it just in time to place the hyaku-shiki in front of the blast, thus taking the hit and sparing the life of the brown wing pilot. With the Hyaku-shiki’s special coating, the blast did far less damage to it than it would have done to most other mechs. “I hope you’re alright there soldier.” Zane said to the pilot by being patched into the brown wing team’s com channel, given special permission this time around.

Zane gave the enemy unit a swift counter punch using the Hyaku-shiki and pulled out its beam cannon. The enemy knew that recieveing fire from that cannon would be extremely bad for the unit so it launched high evasion tactics in an effort to escape. After firing a few neutralizing shots the enemy lost its high evasion capabilities and was subdued. Zane realized that chasing down the enemy was going to be more difficult than he had anticipated. ‘What are these guys after?’ Zane pondered.

Azaka quickly found a unmanned plasma cannon on the defensive line and hacked into the operation terminal. He was very good with all sorts of technology and could operate most military weaponry. Zane taught him things of that nature. Azaka’s grandfather was also a Metargo military veteran and insisted on teaching Azaka everything he knew since Azaka was a child. Having hacked the terminal and gained access to the plasma cannon Azaka began to lock onto some of the rogue units. “These buggers are really swift… but lucky for me I’ve got a high perssision targeting system here.” Azaka said to himself. He fired on a few units and a couple of units were disabled. “Hopefully the Brown Wing Team realizes that I’m not firing on them. I don’t want to cause Zane any trouble.” He said with a worried disposition.

Percival Cross

The garrison Captain became irritated at having to do nothing and had one of his transmission interception teams hack into the communication systems of Brown Wing Team. "Forgive me, Left of the State Minister Cross, but I wish to find out once and for all what this Brown Wing Team is up to. I've got hackers working on retrieving their communications signals."

Percival kept a calm exterior disposition but inside he was pissed. He had figured that the garrison captain could resist meddling in Percival’s plan. Percival figure that he had used up all the leeway that he could in this situation without interference, things were simply going too smoothly. “Is that so Captain?” Percival replied with a single raised eyebrow. He continued, ”Very well. Keep me informed.”

Percival grew a bit nervous. He had no way of damage controlling this situation. If any of the brown wing team mentioned Viki or Sir Hansel, he would have a heap of explaining to do. Not a moment passed before he replied. “But of course. I insist. You have my help.”

Percival let out a heavy sigh. The worst happened. ‘I’m so sorry I couldn’t keep this quiet Sir Hansel, Princess…’ he thought to himself. He closed his eyes and with a tired expression clamped his brow with his index finger and thumb. “I have some explaining to do. However, before I proceed I will have you know that this is highly classified information and I am holding everyone within earshot of that transmission accountable for remaining quiet about this. Do you understand? I want a list of names of everyone within this garrison, I am quite serious.” Percival looked sharply about the room. He needed to be authoritative and seemingly in control else things would only get worse.

“Through a magical mishaps the princess was teleported into the cockpit of a Brown Wing Unit. She had left the capital in an effort to aide a stranded medical transport vehicle. Sir Hansel informed me of the situation and through our efforts he was able to locate the princess within Benjlakk, specifically in Gatourshai. The Princess was looked after by a member of the brown wing team by the name of Zechariah Malachi. The brown wing team safeguarded the princess and returned her to the custody of Sir Hansel. It was then that they encountered this rogue unit tha we are trying to stop now. This is why I trust the brown wing team, because they were taken by surprise by this situation just as much as we were. However, as you can see now, there seems to be an even bigger situation at hand here. One that I am currently on my way to the Titan to investigate.” Percival concluded. He hoped that would clear things up for now. He’d deal with whatever consequences he had to for keeping this quiet from the king.

It was not long before one of the cadets, Karl Lopez gave a secret message to Percival via communications device.

Percival thanked Karl and asked for the testimony to be documented so it could be compiled as evidence. He was glad that things seemed to be coming together. This was seemingly becoming less of a wild goose chase that it initially appeared to be. “It seems that our issues with Benjlakk are becoming less important as we may be fighting a common enemy here. I am maintaining open communication with the Brown Wing team on this matter. I will report and serious findings with the Metargo military as well. I want to do this by the book. However it is clear that there may be compromised parties on either side of the line. So ultimately, I will divulge information at my or his majesties’ discresstion, as this was assigned to me by his royal highness King Saul himself. You do understand, don’t you captain?” Percival explained hoping he had covered all tracks created. He needed to be as careful as possible.

Axl noticed Zechariah's mech coming his way and realized from the signal it was him. How's his mech glowing!? he wasted no time in pulling his sword from its impaled position and engaging. What's he mad about, anyway!? Axl believed himself more than a match for the sergeant, only to notice Zech's abilities have been enhanced, possibly from the glowing blue light. How does he do that!? Such an upgrade is impossible for any country to make! Unless... unless this is supernatural... Nah, I'm not superstitious! Zechariah maneuvered so swiftly in his Eagle (faster than possible under regular circumstances), that it would seem he could not be touched, but that was because Axl was not using his full resolve. At this point, the former Ghost became increasingly frustrated. I guess I'm going to have to get serious! Stealth won't help me, now!

With the mech fight escalating further, Axl was now using his full potential, turning the confrontation into a deadly dance in the sky. While Zechariah held his own in melee, Axl's anti-beam blades eventually snapped the one beam sword Zech had in two, forcing him to attempt to distance himself from his opponent for a medium-ranged shot. The beams that burst out of both beam rifles, however, were blocked and deflected by the Near Shadow Beta's blades. This forced the sergeant to use the sonic emitter prototype he requested installed, which was originally made by him to disable mechs. Based on his calculations, he can only use it three times before it needed to be recharged and tended to off the battlefield. He waited for Axl to come dangerously close, then fired the emitter from the left wrist of his Eagle.

The results were extraordinary, to say the least. Not only did it do heavy harm to the Near Shadow Beta's armor, it damaged Axl's ears beyond repair because of the sheer magnitude. Zechariah could hear the explosions and shouts from the radio. It would seem Axl was finished, then laughter and coughing were heard. The sergeant was about to deal the final blast with his beam rifle to the cockpit when he heard Axl speak without an inch of fear.

These words from Axl were as follows: "I see... you're stronger than you first appeared... I don't know how you did it... but I... accept defeat... before I die, though... you should probably see... these schematics... Viola's "dad"... so to speak... is working on... two mechs based on them... Maybe... you and Ben... could pilot those... when they are made... you'll need them... against Lopez..."

Zechariah had calmed down upon hearing Axl's words. He attempted to get a camera feed on him to determine his condition, but all he got was a static screen. The damage from the one sonic blast must have been severe on both the Near Shadow Beta and its pilot. Looking over the schematics they were from the Near Shadow Project, specifically based on the Near Shadow Beta. He knew this was no time to be reading them thoroughly, so he opened the cockpit to Axl's mech while stating, "I'm going to have you court martialed for insubordination once we're through capturing the rogues, here." By the time the Near Shadow Beta's cockpit was open, however, Axl was in a coma.

Zechariah wasted no time in using his med kit to at least stabilize him. Just as Zechariah had the unconscious person in the cockpit and piloted away from the irreparable mech that was the Near Shadow Beta, the now-empty machine exploded. Axl's usefulness to Benjlakk has come to an end, Zechariah could feel it and did not enjoy the thought of what could come next for the unconscious man. The other matter we worried about at the moment was, if the sonic emitter could destroy a powerful mech as the Near Shadow Beta, then it would have to be worked on some more in order to be used for nonlethal combat. Of course, none of it would matter if Brown Wing Team did not first arrest the remaining rogues.

The rest of the battle was relatively easy with the help of Zane Preston and Azaka Oikawa, after the initial panic from the hacked defense gun firing before being assured Brown Wing Team was not being targeted, that is. Between Zane, Zechariah, Benjamin, Viola, Chemda, Adira, Laurence, and Azaka, they disabled the most opposing mechs. Once it was finally over, Karl Lopez was able to rally enough schoolmates from the military academy to mobilize a cooperative search with Brown Wing Team for the surviving rogue pilots. Karl even had time to write a testimony regarding everything he saw that was out of place, sending the resulting document to Percival.

During the gathering of the war criminals into Brown Wing Team's hands, Zechariah noticed a familiar face that tapped him on the shoulder. Upon seeing each other's faces, Zechariah and Karl high-fived each other and shook hands enthusiastically while laughing. Zech spoke first. "Karl! Long time no see!"

"Same with you, bud! Who'd have thought you be a mech pilot?"

Zechariah answered his query solemnly with, "I was drafted. hopefully, this war will end before either country is subjugated."

"Indeed. Well, I wish you all the best."

A salute to each other, and the two friends went their separate ways. Zechariah was no fool. He imagined that hem would be just as much court martialed as Axl for what went on, yet he was not unprepared for such an occurrence. He had his communication bot, T7-B, record everything from the fight on the streets of Gatourshai to the mech fight slightly away from the shores of Disclesca.

The Garrison captain confirmed that everything would be confidential, as did everyone else in the room, with a salute and a simultaneous, "Yes, my lord!" The Garrison captain also transferred all data concerning the battle, including the intercepted messages (which meant Axl's final words before going unconscious, as well as everything else), to a small disk that he handed to the Left of the State Minister.

Aaron cleared his throat upon hearing Kyle say Minmei was rather nationalistic, which caused Kyle to say, "Sorry, Aaron. I didn't mean that in any offensive way to anyone." Kyle then turned back to Cecilia and Minmei and explained the surgery itself. "Okay, well, in the emergency room, we were being prepared for operation that was critical for us to live. All I could recall before everything faded to black was the injury that occurred earlier, the pain, and the face of a girl that was assisting with the procedure. I swear, she seemed angelic and adorable, and I'm not saying that to be perverted! when I we woke up, we were told by her that her name is Amelia Cross." Suddenly, it clicked and he was left wide-eyed. "Wait! If her last name is Cross, then she must be related to... Oh, shit!" Kyle began to freak out. "Oh, shit! If Lord Cross even suspects I did anything to his sister, I'm dead! So very, very dead!"

Aaron shouted over him with, "Relax, Private Scipio! Your hands are clean, so there's nothing to worry about! You just need to remember to clean up your act a little, so he won't be worried about you deflowering her!"

Kyle nodded silently in anxiety, which was the most he could do from the shock of the realization. There was more to Kyle's reaction than he let on, which Aaron knew the answer to, since he was there. Since Kyle would not say anything, Aaron felt he ought to explain for him.

Aaron gave Minmei and Cecilia this explanation: "Percival Cross and I were there when Kyle was arrested. We saw his potential as a soldier, as well as found out that his attempted murder out on the streets was to save a high school girl from being raped by the same men he fought nearly to death. He was just as berserk than as you see him end up on the battlefield when his anger is at its peak. So, at my recommendation, Percival offered Kyle amnesty in exchange for military service. Since then, Kyle developed a fear of Percival Cross, albeit a bit of an unhealthy one."

Cain smiled a little bit and was about to say something when he bumped into a familiar face. "Sorry, I... Oh, it's you, Cassius! Mind fi I ask you a few questions? I... was kind of put in charge of Lion Team temporarily by Sergeant Lextu."

"Sure! Fire away!"

Cain used the paper on the clipboard as a guide, which was to his relief since he was not exactly social. During the conversation, however, another Lion pointed a handgun at Cain, whom heard the click and turned around to throw his knife, which only disintegrated when the shot was made from the Lion, which also blew a hole in Cain's chest. The worst part was, he could not evade without the blast hitting Cassius, which meant he was at a fatal disadvantage and the assailant knew it. Cain's last words to Barnett were, "Run..." Then, he gave out his final breath painfully as he collapsed to the floor, deceased.

Cassius was about to ask what went through his "comrade's" head at that moment, but was cut off when the Lion Team member, who went with the alias Marcus Baak, coldly stated, "One Ghost down, one more to go. Once Axl Jai Numi is dead, Romano Lopez's days toying with the whole world are numbered. Even the Royal family will soon have to admit they were fooled by him." Even before Marcus spoke, there was something odd about him that nobody in Metargo noticed until now: his eyes were glowing silver, just as Adira's eyes did when she rescued Chemda.

Fortunately, before Marcus could shoot anyone else, his monologue to Cassius and Barnett gave Emesto, whom was making his way to med bay due to a massive headache, enough time pull out his own handgun and shoot the assailant in the head. Emesto immediately searched the remains of both dead men to find out the motive.

Cassius breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Nice shot, George! You saved our lives!"

Emesto knew enough Metargo to get by, so he replied with, "You're welcome, but I'm not George. He is kind of an alternate personality inserted into my mind thirteen years ago. Long story. My real name is Emesto Andrew."

Cassius went wide-eyed in fright. "Huh!? Wait! You're the Emesto Andrew, the Benjlakki mech ace that shot down more than 40 mercenaries from the skies in the Benjlakki Siege on Mercenaries that took place nearby the Gatwashiim Peninsula thirteen years back!? How did you survive that battle and end up here!?"

"That's what I want to confirm for myself, aside from the motive for that guy attacking you three. I was told by some head mechanic and a lady of nobility that was with her, whom appeared to be a medic, that the mercenaries who supposedly placed me in a cold sleep in secret and implanted nanoidrons into me were affiliated with the Takerdarn Clan, an infamous mercenary clan that I was told had a secret headquarters in the Metargo Capital. Maybe if I find some sort of journal, there can be a clue of some sort."
Surely enough, there were journals on their persons which Emesto skimmed through until he found entries of interest. "Project Ghost and Project Exorcist!? What is that about!? Were these two guys genetically altered somewhere!? That would be highly illegal anywhere you go! We got to tell somebody about this! I wonder if anybody else has shown signs of genetic alteration!" Cassius translated for Barnett what Emesto said.
