Personality

Rei's personality varies horribly, she goes from a sweet innocent girl to a cold hearted killer, a motherly figure, to a heartless mistress. Although her mind is very frail, quick to snap and take things wrong.

Equipment

Rei wears her tattered white dress she's been wearing since living with her brother Zack when she was 10. She has twin blade gauntlets, similair to BloodRayne's blades. Using her powers she can make spikes appear from anywhere in her body and she can morph her blades together to make one big buster sword. She also controlls darkness and ice, also fire that hurts her body to use.

History

Rayne, or Rei for short, was a beautiful demon goddess who ruled the Demonic Realm. She was more powerful then anything in creation and more loved as well. After thousands of years of ruling beside her precious brother, Zack, catastrophy struck. Her brother fell in love with a mortal, making himself mortal to be with her. Rayne loved her brother so much, she gave her immortality to be by his side. Only a few years after they became mortal, they died in a huge battle.
When Rayne and Zack were reborn, they were reborn as mortal rulers. The high King and Queen, Alexander and Veronica Ashford, had given birth to the new heirs to the realm. However, a royal phsycic advisor forsaw Rayne's destiny. He said that in the near future she would destroy the entire Demonic Realm.
After hearing this, everyone in the realm, save for her parents and brother, hated her, treating her like a monster and trying to kill her. Rei remembered her past life, and how everyone had loved her so much, so the hatred crushed her heart. Up until she was 5 years old, her only friend was her brother Zack.
When Rei was five, a horrible disease took over the minds of most of the demons, turning them into monsters. A portal opened making it possible for the demons to travel to other Realms, which would destroy everything with their new disease. Rei, seeing no other option, Self-destructed, taking the entire realm with her. However, before they died, her parents sent Zack to another realm, ressurected their daughter, and sent her too.

With their entire realm and race gone, and Rei's body so weak from such a powerful attack, the siblings took shelter on a small world called Gaia. On Gaia, in a tiny town called Gongaga, Zack found an abandoned house in the nearby forest. He carried his sister there, and took care of her for five years.
Throughout their stay in Gongaga, Zack joined a army called SOLDIER. Zack's friends from SOLDIER, Angeal, Sephiroth, and Genesis, became Rayne's only other company. The three men had fallen in love with the broken girl, and rivaled for her love, but she only admitted her love for her brother.
When Rei was ten, Angeal was murdered, and Sephiroth and Genesis turned into enemies and disapeared. After Angeal death, she told her brother she had been in love with him. Zack blamed himself for her pain and swore he'd never let her lose another loved one. Ironically, he died trying to keep that promise only a few months later.
When Zack died Rei lost her mind, finally going ferreal from all her mental and physical pain. She used her powers and destroyed Gaia, just like she had her planet Ivalice, and her realm. However, this time she didn't die...physically.

For three and a half years she drifted endlessly in space, insane, weak and alone. Finally, after drifting so long, she finally came across a planet and she fell upon it.
The people from the nearby village sent men to see what had fallen from the sky and crashed into a nearby feild, but when they saw her, they saw a monster. Rei fled from the men, hiding in a forest trying to regain her strength to destroy this world too, until someone appeared before her.
A tall white haired man in red named Jiraiya found her. He swore he wouldn't hurt her and he would keep her safe. Although still insane, and despite her attempts to attack him, he picked her up and carried her to his home. He promised the village he wouldn't let her cause harm, and that he would take care of her if they'd spare her life.
Jiraiya sacrificed a lot, and risked even more for her, and it was all that, that he did that finally brought her mind back. After four years of living with Jiraiya, alone in the forest, Rayne finally went to the village and became a ninja, making many friends.
Shikamaru was the first of her friends, and Shino and Rock Lee. Soon after she was friends with everyone in the village. An Akatsuki member, Itachi, fell in love with Rayne after spying on her, swearing his soul and eternal services to her. Though she'd never admit to him, she cared deeply for Itachi.
One day at the mall, Rei ran into Gaara, who ruined her clothes. Rei followed him through the mall trying to force him to apologize, but he never did. After he finally excaped her, she decided she WOULD get his apology. She spent a lot of time bugging Gaara, trying to get her apology, but while doing so she learned a lot about him.
Rayne shifted gears when she learned about his past and all his pain, realizing they were very much a like, and she knew his pain. She took Gaara under her wing, taking care of him (Whether he wanted it or not) and swore to never hurt him.
One day Rei finally confessed her feelings to Gaara, telling him she loved him even more than her precious brother whom she would give her soul for. At first Gaara was scared, running away and hiding from her for months. After Rei thought he'd never come back, he showed up at his house next door to hers. She went to confront him, and he told her he felt the same. He was willing to be her slave forever if he had to.
Gaara knew that to mate with her, a darkness ice wolf demon, he would belong to her for the rest of his existance. He was willing to be hers forever, no matter the price he had to pay. That year on Rei's birthday, they made love and he became hers forever.
