Fifty years ago, the Devil – Satan, Lucifer, whatever you wish to call him – led a force of thousands strong to take over the Earth. His demons created a seal of dark power that scorched the earth, preventing angles from touching down upon the soil. The Devil unleashed his demons upon the earth, allowing them to become pillagers, killers, bandits, and rapists. Ever male above the age of thirty was slaughtered; the women above thirty were kidnapped and raped, forced to carry children of demons within them. Those younger than the cut off were enslaved by the higher ranking demons.

Earth’s largest cities were transformed into cities of darkness and sin. Humans became the lowest laborers and slaves for demonkind. Those who were beautiful were placed higher on the scale than those who were not. Satan’s closest followers became the Dukes and Duchesses of New Hell – the name given to Earth after the takeover. They own the most slaves and control their own factions. Each demon associates with a certain faction and abides by the rules of their faction; these rules determine what job or field each demon is designated to.

Envy. The buyers.
Greed. The robbers.
Wrath. The police.
Lust. The pimps.
Sloth. The druggies.
Pride. The famous.
Gluttony. The chefs.

The Dukes and Duchesses control their factions loosely and most demons dabble in several fields, though many specialize in certain areas. However, regardless of faction, all demons are responsible for the slaughter of any and all angels, even those of mixed blood. Very few angels remain. Those were are pureblood are never seen, but there can be found decedents of humans and angels. Despite their mixed blood, they are powerful and can easy kill demons of lesser rank.

Unbeknownst to most demons, there is a war raging. The Dukes and Duchesses have recruited powerful demons to fight back against the growing numbers of resisters of angel decent. At this time, the war is minor, but little by little the nephilim are increasing in number and strength.

Could the old hymn be true?
Or will the nephilim find the strength to take the throne once more?

There will be a maximum of 2 roles per demon type at the beginning of this roleplay. Until each of these positions are filled, this will be the limit. It is recommended – though not required – that you have multiple characters in order to play with the different factions. A male and female will be chosen for the two roles in each faction – do not create a male character for a faction if there already is one.

The gender is set for the Dukes and Duchesses. While you can have more than one demon, only one of these characters is allowed per roleplayer. If we do not fill all the positions and no other roleplayers are interested, I will allow people to double up.

As recommended above, I highly recommend that you choose more than one character. Though there are a lot of nephilim, you are restricted to two until I say so – you may have two nephilim from different categories and other characters, but no more nephilim until allowed. Keep in mind that these characters are slaves. All nephilim are born with increases senses, speed, and strength. They match the abilities of lower level demons. A male and female will be chosen for the two roles in each faction – do not create a male character for a faction if there already is one.
