Introduction

-During a 4 year period known as the 'Reclaiming Period', the Earth tried to pull back what once was a peaceful natural place. Changes in climate caused devastating storms which destoyed many cities and killed atleast 90% of the entire world population.
Some people escaped underground in disused military bases and bunkers however now that the 'Reclaiming Period' in over some groups begin to re-surface..

One small group gathered all food and resources they had left and travelled across the deserted landscape to seek life.
Theres no communication, none of the groups know if there are others who survived or if they are the last remaining humans on Earth.

The group find a river. They instantly knew this was the best place to form a temporary camp, however they soon realise they would be staying longer than they thought.

One bitter night around the first camp-fire above ground, Robert Nevern disgussed the idea that someone should take control and keep the peace within the group. Robert had become an authority figure underground as he took on responsiblities that no-one else dared to accept
so many of the group agreed that Robert should be the new leader. He hesitated but agreed to the new position.

''Tomorrow is a new life, a new chance to make it ours''..

Little did the camp know they were not alone..

During the night Robert awoke to a loud noise which echoed through the camp. 'Whos there?'... His face turned pale and two dark red eyes appeared through the darkness... The eyes quickly dissapeared into night leaving Robert feeling unsure of his people fate.
For the rest of that night Robert stayed awake, strolling around the sleeping tent hoping he wouldnt have to face the horror's that he had seen that night.

There are two groups:

Humans:
These characters can have special abilities but currently cant have super powers. They can be particularly good in one area such as Marksmanship, Craftmanship etc. (Weapon/fighting abilities are most useful)

Rebirths:
These creatures are non human nor beasts. These half formed horrors have increased strength but lack in intelligence. Characters choose an ability such as written above.

Toggle Rules

1. No spamming, rude behaviour, excessive use of bad language, site promotion. (bannable offense)
2. Abide by the rules to make 'New Tempton' an enjoyable text based RPG.
3. Only governing officials can hand out 'tokens' via approval from the Govenor which can later be used to upgrade buildings and buy privalages etc.
4. You must not control another characters fate without disgussing and agreeing the matter before hand (preferably in PM chat to keep it separate from the main text/storyline)
Rules may change or be added at any time.
5. Characters are can be Human or 'Rebirths' (State in your character description)

I need two people to step forward to help me govern our people into a new life.

Officials will be given 'token' rights which means you can award characters with points which can later be traded for privalages. (Officials can only give tokens once approved with a good reason why a Character should recieve points)

Should there be more than two candidates, it will go to a general vote.
