Under normal circumstances, Pearce would have thought, while approaching an academy, about the games of chess he could play with others. Today, however, he was thinking of how late he was, thanks to his clock going haywire and waking him up at the wrong time, and also his lack of knowledge of the area around him, which cost him a great deal of time. Carrying a suitcase and a bag, he walked up to the black metal gate, and noticed the eerily quiet of the campus, which puzzled him. Shouldn't all campuses be full of energy once they've received some new students, he pondered, and reaching no conclusion, asked a nearby Fiama, "Excuse me, miss, the campus seems eerily quiet. What happened to the students?"

If Sean was vigilant, he would soon notice that he wasn't the only student slowly approaching school grounds.

The sound of heels became more and more apparent.
Shade was in her own world, gazing idly at the tall building on the horizon. All 5'7" of her seemed slouched and evasive, her golden eyes darting from side to side. She stood still next to the male, almost waiting to follow his lead.
"Hello."
She quickly looked down, tucking her barley locks behind her ear and refusing to make eye contact. Talk about socially awkward. Shade looked completely human, from her long legs to the wisps of her hair. No horns, no wings. Nothing abnormal, which, may have been abnormal here. The stillness of the woman may of been intimidating as well; The only movement she made was holding down the pleated skirt that continued to flick up as the gusts of wind tousled her.
Fiama crosses her arms and slowly shakes her head. "You are both late... the students left to go on the mission."

Under his breath, he sighed, "It's one of those days..." It wasn't fun having to deal with two events that hindered your progress to the academy, and less fun if they were something he could have remedied had he come two days earlier. While he was regretting on how he could have used those two days to scout the academy's surroundings, Pearce heard a feminine, "Hello," and turned around to see who it was. He was met by a woman who was looking down at the ground, very still, which came to him as odd, since he hasn't seen people that still ever before since he saw those human "statues", which freaked everyone out wen they moved. However, he thought, it was an academy for "monsters", so it's not that strange. He greeted her with, "Well, hello there. 'Ain't you quite the looker," and chuckled. "What's your name?"

The Succubus winced, finally turning and resting her smoldering gaze upon the male. She stared for a moment, taking him in. It must of been a tense few moments as her glimmering orbs almost seemed to stare into his soul. Her ruby lips eventually parted to speak.
"My name is Shade." Her voice was smooth, almost alluring enough to make it seem like she sang that sentence. Another gentle breeze ran through her hair and tugged at her loose fabrics, revealing her shapely face and vulnerable neck. The young demoness's attention was quickly stolen as she heard a stern womans voice come from a few feet away. With a turn, Shade's eyes fell on the crimson glow of hair and narrowed expression of what seemed to be a teacher. Of course, the Succubus knew she was a bit late as well. Her only excuse was a lack of transportation; Having to find 'other' means to get here took some time and effort, that showed in her dull tired stance.
"I apologize." She lowered her head, showing her new and underling status to the apparent dominant figure. "It will not happen again."

"For me...Let's just say a certain alarm wasn't working, and a certain person didn't scout the land beforehand." During that last half of his comment, he looked away, as if to hide his shame somewhere else. He looked back, and said, "But first things first, I'll -we'll, sorry(and here he glanced towards Shade)-need to know where we are headed for the mission the others have already left for. Also, is this a magic only school? I've got some firearms here, and bringing a gun to a mage fight wouldn't be the best, all thing considered, right?" With that being said, he found himself consistently looking back at the woman beside him. Sure, in his lifetime-in fact, anyone's lifetime-he had seen a bunch of women of different sizes, tastes, ages, wealth, but this one in particular caught his attention a lot more than anyone else. "Now this is something to ponder over during nighttime. After my chess games, anyway." he mumbled. Making eye contact with Shade again, he said, "Sean Mallory. But the locals back home call me Pearce. Nice to meet you."
